City Council Meeting Tonight!

Yessiree, Friends, tonight is the night when our “esteemed” City Council chooses our mayor for 2012.

It’s also the night when the Council will be entertained (not enlightened we may reasonably assume) by a reading from Marisa Gerber’s great exposition of Fullerton’s bad cops, bad cops in the OC Weekly. After hearing the extensive (and not even exhaustive) report on the Culture of Corruption created and abetted by Jones, Bankhead and McKinley, even the most die hard loyalist to the Ancient Regime must cringe and slink off in shame. But not the Three Dyspeptic Dinosaurs.

But I digress.

It used to be that if you were on the Fullerton City Council and you were a Democrat; and if the following year happened to be an election year, your chances of being selected mayor by your colleagues were pretty damn slim. This is because the old guard country club Republicans like Dick Ackerman and Ed Royce would start pulling the strings of whichever featherheaded RINO nincompoops they had put on the council and the “rotation” that everybody talked about was out the window.

This year is a lot different. With the Recall of Jones, Bankhead, and McPension signature gathering phase coming to a successful completion, Ackerman & Co. know that this year their creaky boys cannot afford to offend anymore constituents, especially what’s left of the antique liberal cadre in Fullerton. So he must now do what for him is unthinkable, under ordinary circumstances, that goes diametrically against every fiber in his corrupt being, and that is order the Triumverate of Tone Deafness to support Sharon Quirk-Silva for mayor.

It will hurt, but it must be done. But will it help in the Recall campaign? Presumably there are some libs old, and young, who, while they won’t support the Recall publicly will certainly vote for accountability when it matters.

Stay tuned for the fun.

    1. Fullerton city council IS a TV reality show. Its better than the Khardashians except Kim and company are far easier to look at than the 3 dyspeptic dinosaurs!

  1. Pre-game at the eagles nest………….@5pm…..then the stroll over at 5:45…and I have a lighter to light all the ensuing fireworks..

  2. I have my copy if the OC weekly ready to go.
Marisa Gerber did such an amazing job putting it on paper. Thank you Marisa!

  3. One thing I don’t understand — Molly McClanahan is a boo-hoo liberal to the end, yet she supports the Dying Dinosaurs anyway. Why is that? Is it because it’s the principle of the matter?

    1. She got recalled once for her own incompetence. They’re all kindred spirits. She endorsed McGoon, too. Just like Flory.

  4. What about the temporary suspension of the auto allowance for the mayor to avoid a conflict of interest?

Why should the suspension be only temporary? If it’s a conflict of interest, it should go away for good.

      1. The agenda explains it like this:

“Conflict of interest regulations prohibit elected officials from participating in decisions that have a unique personal financial effect on the official. The FPPC’s new interpretation of conflict of interest regulations could construe the Mayor’ s auto allowance as a unique personal financial effect. “

  5. You ffffers realize that all the voting citizens of Fullerton do not read OC weekly, only you pot smoking morons from ffff! Funny how you all think that OC weekly is some top notch paper look at all the adds in the magazine, porn, drugs ect…. Right up your ffff alley! Why don’t you roll up you’re copy of the OC weekly and smoke it, if you haven’t already!

    1. Ffff tards :

Yeah, I would agree that the magazine is not much better than a 12-pack of Charmin. That said, the article on the Fullerton situation was well written!

    2. Ffff tards – your comment is an ad hominem fallacy. Usually when someone resorts to ad hominem attacks it’s because his argument is weak. Why don’t you try attacking the article on whether or not the content is factual and true, and not by the adds (sic) in the back of the magazine.

    3. After the OC Weekly article is read at the meeting tonight everyone of the pot smokers there will have a group toke party and talk about the porn ads-FFFF, you dummy

    4. I guess ffff tards is running out of genuine information and has to resort to guilt by association! Its sort of like me being associated with the “The Ugly” so you may assume I need plastic surgery! Only folks with IQ under 90 make that type of association. So you must be a member of Fullerton’s Finest! Good luck cause the new police chief will be cleaning house and your union will be busy all the time trying to cover up for the bad donut eaters. I see a rash of retirements coming up!

    1. Excuse me? Who reported on the corruption of Mike Carona at the OCSD years before anyone else would pay attention? Take a look at the latest issue with the story about police officers having sex with Explorer Scouts in squad cars. Pay special attention to the quote from the late Daryl Gates, LAPD buddy of Pat McPension.

      1. Don’t forget that Anthony Pignataro and the Weekly almost single handedly broke the corruption story of HB mayor Dave Garofalo who is now officially a felon. The Rag (and other outlets) just kept whistling dixie. Still are.

    2. Once again, cannabis has been proven to be neuroprotective. Check the medical literature. So if we really all are morons we probably SHOULD be smoking it to help prevent further brain damage.

  6. OC weekly did not get the Night Grant last year; that should answer your question. Everyone gets the Night Grant, for journalism, unless the articles are slate and stagnant: C Weekly had gotten the million dollars stipent in the past.
Fortunately the Sociopaths of Fullerton’s sysop blocked his site from emailing me, bless you my child. I appreciate that you want to be helpful. I have plenty of self appointed body guards covering my back, There are some very high quality people among the homeless, and being homeless all know how to fight.I am not in danger, here is the problem posed by your willingness to volunteer, you would have to be willing to sit in a parking lot all night in sub freezing weather as a homeless person: in gang territory. Rather than doing that, could you keep doing what you are doing from your living roon, with the small addition of 86ing the hate speach and death threats on your site, if you do not do it, the FBI will do it for you, and no one wants that. I like the site, because it’s objective and gives both, well, all sides, but them the commentators are drunk, or cops, or sociopaths (or all of the above). No one needs that. I do want to say one last thing before I leave you to your own devices. About the lady who comments that her kid wants to be homeless’ we don’t know because he has no voice, the voice of homelessness is the voice of the pople who profit from it. I interviewed fifteen thousand homeless people and one thousand cops. all of hte homeless people said that they would do Anything to get off of the street, that it started with a false arrest, and that once one is venued into the corrections system there is no getting out. All of the cops said that homeless people like to be homeless. All of the cops pad their ticket quotas at the end of the month with camping tickets, all of the homeless people get at least 40 camping tickets per year, some got as many as four hundred, camping tickets per year, Do the math, could the cops be ticketing the homeless to justify their unearned budget? What law enforcement purpose is served by ticketing and old homeless guy twice a day every day for camping., Doug got forty camping tickets in one month. But usually the homeless are targeted to pad felonies because felonies result in a stripe, resisting arrest being the most popular. (That’s when the cop comes up behind the unsuspecting homeless person and beats him into unconsciousness or kills him, for no other reason than to get a free felony arrest, he then conjures the cause and his buds conjure injuries, We have Ron to thank for publicizing that fact. You Rock! what happened to Kelly happens to the kids of mom’s who believe the cop party line; that their kid wants to be out there in freezing weather with trash bags for a coat, it happens every night all over America hundred of times, every night. It happened a lot last night because KFI,( more hate filled talk radio) did a show stating that all homeless people are crazy drug addicted drunks who will attack you with a knife if you don’t give them money for booze, hence the cops were free last night to go out and feel justified in Killing more Kelly’s/ Unfortunately the general populous was free to justify it as well, and they stabbed a homeless woman in her sleeping bag, as a reprisal, who turned out to be an undercover cop, they then threw her off of an over pass. this group of KFI fans had been throwing dogs to their death and upgraded to people. Thanks. There are an average of 14 cops killed every day in America, most of them are undercover cops, mistaken for the criminals or by the criminals who they impersonate, or worse they are killed in the right of passage that allows people to justify killing the homeless, thanks to the likes of KFI, More Hate Filled Talk Radio, and yes, Sociopaths of Fullerton: A Hate Blog.

    2. Carolyn,
Once again your chapter sized comments are very well written but extremely lengthy. Could you please shorten them to look like THIS one?
      Thank you.

  7. Ducks-Kings Hockey game or City Council meeting (?) I’m gonna go to the hockey fight at city council! More entertaining. Dick Jones will be in the penalty box all night. Can’t wait to piss off the Dick lovers!

  8. I have a question, may be a stupid question but I’m going to ask anyway.
Is it just the board members who vote on the the next mayor or do the citizens have a say?
I hope and pray you folks have a say in this matter.

    1. In Fullerton, the largely-symbolic position of Mayor is appointed by a majority vote of city council members every year.

  9. There are very few newspapers left that have any street cred. Most are socialist/commie rags. La Times being one of them who tote the party agenda.

      1. WSJ is the only paper worth more than the paper on which it is printed.

I would consider LA Times bad but not nearly on the level of OCR, Fullerton Observer, Tribune (AKA Throw-aways) The ONLY thing worthy of the OCR is the NYT crossword puzzle.

    1. The OC Register is neither socialist, commie, left, right, conservative or liberal. They are corrupt and deeply entrenched with the ruling elite of orange county.

They are the mouth piece of money and power. Trusting the OC Register is like trusting a Tijuana cop to conduct an impartial and thorough investigation into a drug related hit.

  14. Hello everyone,

I don’t post many comments anymore but I still read this blog daily. I am so completely confused by Carolyn Phillips’ post that I feel compelled to ask you all for help in deciphering what she means. What is she talking about? I suppose I should be grateful that “Reality Is” seems to be taking the day off…

Ps. And I will be tuning in tonight to the council meeting!

    1. All I can discern is that she is a person who has the intelligence to write cogent sentenses but is not easily able to organize her sentences into organized dissertations by the art of paragraphing.

There seems to be a parallell disability in organizing her personal life to the point of providing herself a permanent home.

  15. Concerned Texan :

    Drug-induced filibuster!

    1. So basically if I am ever offered some sort of tempting narcotic before participating in a blog, I should just say no? Roger wilco.

  16. Hello Concerned Texan,

None of us are very certain who this particular Carolyn Phillips is, however I do know that she is not the same Carolyn Phillips I posted about in #42.
I will be speaking at the council tonight and if I remember, I’ll give you a ‘Hello’.
I believe Reality Is is on his donut break at the moment. lol

    1. Ron Patrick,

Pleased to make your online acquaintance. I’ll listen for your shout out. I believe that Americans across this country can learn from the Kelly Thomas murder and overall awareness of the corruption that exists on various levels of government which includes local police departments. I try to start dialogues with people who will listen whenever possible and I also keep y’all in my prayers.

      1. As well, I’m pleased to share comments with all my blogging brethren wherever they reside.
It surely has been an interesting year with the Kelly Thomas murder by cops, the Penn State child abuse scandal by an extremely illiterate assistant coach (I heard an interview with him yesterday), etc.
These are all cases that contain the same theme, “Abuse of Authority”. Notice that whenever authority commits a crime, in comes the ‘Cover Up’. It is clearly more important for them to protect the reputation and integrity of the institution than it is to ‘Do the Right Thing’ and take punitive action on the perpetrators.
BTW, I also post as wrong guy.
        Also, the walrus was Paul.

        1. Wrong Guy, you’re in disguise today! Thanks for the heads up. I’m ready for the council meeting tonight. Oh and lets not forget Officer Rincon and the “She Bear” monstrosity! Interesting year indeed.

  17. Moron Eric, we don’t need a County mayor! We did fine without one until “he thunk this powertripping board of sups up. Therefore, local agencies that have city councils run and fund those ridiculous entitlement programs you mentioned. Already have enough redundant govt without adding another layer of stupidity. Nowithstanding the fact that everything
the board of sups touch end up in a clusterfucking mess! Eg., King Drew hospital, probation dept., and so on.

  18. Admittedly, Carolyn Phillips’ stream of consciousness style of writing, sans formatting, is very difficult to wade through; however, there is some truth to what she says. You have to be careful not to throw out the baby with the bathwater.

    1. Carolyn obviously has issues, but her posts are not foul. Her perspective has also been heavily compounded by experiences we can only imagine. Meet the homeless. There are no banners on this site prohibiting eccentric homeless people from contributing. If such a banner were needed, maybe it could be placed directly under the recall button and the homeless issue conceded to the polished Rusty tools.

    2. Yes, I agree. There are many posts praising Kelly and many wishing that they had know him better. None of that means anything if now Carolyn is written off as a non person.

  19. Concerned Texan :
So basically if I am ever offered some sort of tempting narcotic before participating in a blog, I should just say no? Roger wilco.

A narco-induced bloviation always has great entertainment value!

  20. Don’t count on Sharon being Mayor, maybe they will give her a few crumbs and let her be Pro Tem…sadly they voted for a rotation but did not specify that it only meant for the two..now three stooges.
As for the FPPC law, it means you are not allowed to vote for yourself if it means additional compensation. That in itself should make this meeting much more interesting.

  21. One for the books :

Ffff tards :You ffffers realize that all the voting citizens of Fullerton do not read OC weekly, only you pot smoking morons from ffff! Yeah, I would agree that the magazine is not much better than a 12-pack of Charmin. That said, the article on the Fullerton situation was well written!

It wasnt anything new. She just published something that was already out there. Old news.

  22. The Fullerton Savage :Excuse me? Who reported on the corruption of Mike Carona at the OCSD years before anyone else would pay attention? Take a look at the latest issue with the story about police officers having sex with Explorer Scouts in squad cars. Pay special attention to the quote from the late Daryl Gates, LAPD buddy of Pat McPension.

Teachers do the same thing…Cops arent the only bad apples.

    1. You missed the point entirely….I believe, Savage’s point is that is was THE OC WEEKLY that brought those situations to the forefront.

  23. R.D. :Ducks-Kings Hockey game or City Council meeting (?) I’m gonna go to the hockey fight at city council! More entertaining. Dick Jones will be in the penalty box all night. Can’t wait to piss off the Dick lovers!

Are the asshole that wrote the rebuttal on The Observer? If you are you suck!!

  25. No that is not me, a “thirty” percent dismissal rate sucks, I have a 100% dismissal rate. I find it hard to believe that a real lawyer would poste that bio (that you wrote); so much of it reads like ‘slacker,’ to another lawyer. But an unsophisticated client pool might be impressed: I’m not. (Too many sentences?) Must Dash, real work calls. My sysop made me write this, I’m gone.

  26. I don’t doubt that the three geezers monitor this blog, and/or have people that do who report back to them.

Do any of you think they’ve a countermeasure in mind against the planned article reading?

    1. My best guess is it will happen something like this:

As people start to read the article, Hee Haw Jones will start yelling telling people to “SHUT UP”..and then he will walk out and the meeting will be suspended until people who have every right to speak, stop speaking. The City Council doesn’t care what is legal…they do whatever they hell that suits them, period. It’s worked for decades, why not now? They don’t give a flying fig if they are trampling all over your civil rights, that’s pretty apparent. Now if Jan Flory wanted to get up there and read a letter she wrote praising their Godliness, they would (and have) let he speak as long as she pleases. It is a giant cluster *uck every single meeting, Center ring, circus style stuff. And Silva and Whitaker sit there like bumps on a log going along with the rest of them.

Truth is stranger than fiction in the town of Fullerton.

      1. And of course he will be pounding his gavel like a ‘madman’.

Don’t think filling out a blue form will be an issue anymore.

  27. Carolyn Phillips :No that is not me, a “thirty” percent dismissal rate sucks, I have a 100% dismissal rate. Way to go. Your reply was about three sentences or less per my last request.

  28. Don’t condescend to me Wrong Guy, I’m the one who has work in the Whitehouse, not you. The reason that I am giving you my thoughts, at all, is because my systems operator is sitting here with your site in my face, telling me not to ignore you, which is what I plan to do. Your fellow Sociopaths of Fullerton have decided, having bothered to go to Blub.com and having seen The Jabberwocky, that they think it’s too good to have been written by me, or any other homeless person: Here is a clue, know it alls of Fullerton: The rocket formula that put a man on the moon was written by a guy living in cardboard box; Norm Bell, just because you Sociopaths of Fullerton are stupid does not mean that homeless people are. My fellow ‘troll’ sysop said I can go now. He is looking at getting fired if he makes me come back here again: I’m not kidding. Fired, do you see this, it says FIRED, I mean you John, fired, fired, fired, stop bothering me about the sociopaths. Get off of their site, now.

      1. No joke, and you need to realize that we send eople like Ramos and Ciscinelli out to deal with people like this on a daily or nightly basis.

If you can’t handle them on a blog site…

    1. Wrong guy, , Don’t you realize there’s nothing you can say that will please her? She’s a bully and you can’t win……so don’t even play…..

    2. Hey,
Isn’t he or she continually repeating the word “sociopath” as nausea in all of his or her posts? I still have no clue what is going on with this person. It makes no sense to me. Is Carolyn a troll?

  29. This is OUR council meeting. The farce of limiting public comment time seems to only apply to us. I missed the last meeting but the one before that was allowed to go over the 30 minutes when their crony pals were speaking. This was the meeting following the meeting where they made the rule!

A calm, loud but not screaming, repetitive chant of: “Dick, Don, Pat are clowns, we don’t want them in our town” should suffice. A better chant is welcomed. As far as I’m concerned, they negated their 30 minute rule the moment they chose to selectively not enforce it.

From tonight forward, no more limiting the public comments time and no more tolerating the idiots walking out on us.

  30. Great point Bear. I may stop by Party City on my way down to city hall and pick up some noise makers/party favors.
    Enough for everybody.

    1. I love parties! I can’t wait for the one we have when the Recall makes the ballot and the even-bigger one when these three are out on their rears!!!

  31. I beg to differ that a chant would be an effective way of voicing concerns at a council meeting. It just makes people look like a bunch of fringe lunatics.

Stepping up to the podium and reading the OC Weekly CALMLY would be a much better use of the meeting speak time.

  32. We know that but Sherbear’s idea about chanting was to cut the ‘brown nosers’ short once they hit their 3 minutes because the Mayor will allow his praisers to speak for close to 10 minutes.
However, the commonfolk (us) only get 3 minutes max.
Go to the city’s website and reveiw the last meeting. You’ll see what we’re talking about.

    1. I was actually referring to when they try to stop the public comments at the 30 minutes mark but I like the idea of doing it when their friends are allowed to go over the 3 minute allotted time, too!

  33. You misunderstand, Karma. The chant would not be in place of voicing concerns. The public comment time should be absolutely used for just that – public comments. In tonight’s case, also for reading the OC Weekly article; calmly and clearly.

What I meant is to do it if they should try to uphold the ridiculous 30 minutes allotted for public comments or if they should ever throw another tantrum and walk out on us again.

I will say the chant I mentioned is a bit sophomoric. Something a bit more in line with the meeting is ours and they work for us would be better. And done with calm voices, not screaming, just loud enough so when done in unison, it will drown them out and not allow them to continue with the meeting until ALL public comments are heard at the beginning.

Remember, the limit was placed to squelch us. When we didn’t die down and go away, they made it 60 minutes. Then it was made 30 minutes. At the very next meeting after the 30 minute limit was voted in by the three idiots, their friends showed up and it went over the new 30 minutes.

    1. Well Sher-b, maybe we should show up with pizza and blankets and say ok 30 minute before your break then how ever long we want after you have your closed meeting…yep we will be right here- got your depends on Dick? Bankhead barely makes it through 7 30……
the comment on their new freinds…that is funny!

  34. My responsibility will be to time their cowhores to make sure they don’t exceed 3 minutes. Once their 3 minutes are up, I will count down (with fingers) 3, 2, 1. Then we could start that chant, turn our cell phone ringers on, squeeze our air-horns, etc. Either way, we will make enough racket so they can’t hear themselves speak.
WE will set the tone, not the Mayor
WE are his boss; not the other way around!!!

  35. Your reading of Marisa Gerber’s” great exposition” at tonights city council meeting is doing discredit to her article if the intent is just to mock the city council. They already know the points brought out in the article. Why not bring out your own points instead of reading someone elses content for the purpose of aggravatting. Whittiker and Thomas are contributers to this story and I’m not sure they would think it in the best intrest to use Marisa’s article in this way.
If reading must be done It may be a better approach to read specific sections to specific points your making rather that the of reading of the column front to end.

  36. I’ll be surprised if Bankhead isn’t mayor by the end of the night. He isn’t concerned with the recall and wants his name on the ballot as mayor!

  37. Anonymous :Bike horns would be awesome

I have a custom car horn at 134dbs, but I’d probably get a pretty hefty ticket from Officer “Doin’ My Job” Cauffman.

    1. I thought you would only get a ticket if you “leaned on the horn for blocks and blocks and blocks and blocks and blocks….”

    1. I can’t figure that out either… it keeps getting talked about ambiguously.

Regardless, did they vote to change the comment section tonight?

    2. he’s “having two procedures” and should have started “preparing” at 4 p.m., but will wait until 8 p.m.

His medical licence is probably not current. I was thinking a colonoscopy but since that takes a lot out of one (pun intended), I doubt it would be paired with another procedure.

  38. I’m so pleased that Pam Keller isn’t on our city council anymore, regardless of whatever her politics were/are. And I’m so proud of all of our citizens speaking out tonight. Wish I could be there in person to support everyone.

  39. I’m glued to my computer screen even though it’s a 5 minute recess. Ron Thomas WAS awesome, but I don’t know why they voted McKinley for anything.

      1. It doesn’t make any difference because the council has five people on it. McKinley voted for himself and so did Whitaker. Had both guys recused themselves, McKinley still wins by a vote of 2-1.

  40. And when Sharon Quirk Silva (I hope I didn’t butcher that too badly) mentions moving forward and recovering, is that some sort of code for not being able or politically willing to go after (metaphorically speaking) the FPD?

    1. It better not be. Anyone getting in the way of FPD being held accountable for their crimes is looking at a recall or indictment.

    1. I picked up on that. *BAM* I hope at least she will give every speaker their allotted three minutes unlike the “old” mayor. The day he has to give his special mayor chair away he leaves early… Coincidence? I think not.

    1. Watch your characterization of her or she’ll have Fullerton PD escort you off the internet. *bangs gavel*

      1. “Instead of a Dark Lord, you will have a QUEEN…” Wait, sorry everyone. I’ve been enjoying a vodka.

  41. and i think that jones knew about the planned reading and did not have enough “OXY-TOXIN” to make it through the meeting

  42. I am really proud of everyone who is reading the article tonight. I’m just wondering what McKinley is thinking, or if he’s checked out, or if he thinks that this article was written by aliens…

  43. Anyone find it strange that Dick Jones left for the night AND his name tag has been removed? Yes, I know they switched them around, but why wasn’t Dick’s put back in his new chair?

  44. The volume on my pc isn’t that great, what did the Madame Mayor say that they weren’t going to engage in?

    1. The speaker said something to Ron Thomas and she said that when Ron started to respond then the crowd started grumbling and she threatened to send officers in to escort them out.

  45. Damn i miss jones already, he was one funny dude. hopefully next meetin he will still be popping off as ussual

      1. She is not going to last long if she keeps this up. There will be nothing more damaging than the visual of FPD officers aggressively and forcibly removing people at her behest.

She better take her “warning 1” and “30 seconds” and shove them where they belong, straight up rapist Albert Rincon’s ass.

        1. I still don’t understand why FFFF supports her. She’s better than Jones/Bankhead/McKinley but barely and I mean barely.

          1. I would like to give her a chance. But my god, does she really not see the irony in telling people who are only there because of the corruption, brutality and malfeasance of the police, that she will instruct the police to remove them by force if they breach her rules?!

Seriously, what an absurd and critical lapse in judgement that was. Sharon, if you are reading this, or if someone forwards it to you – the moment you instruct police to remove citizens from a city council meeting marks the decisive end of any support you have in this community. If you tell FPD to throw people out we will start coming and causing a scene just to get thrown out, and you will then see a circus you will never, ever forget.

Just cross that line. You work for the citizenry, not the other way around. And we are in NO MOOD to be bullied or scolded.

            1. Sharon Quirk doesn’t understand how to manage a group of adults. This is likely her first experience in that role.

But none of this should be a surprise. School teachers get away with a lot of crap, and this is the perfect example. She acts this way because she treats our kids this way in the classroom.

  46. Nice play-by-play chatting about the council meeting above…lol
I owe Concerned Texan an apology. I was the first to read the O.C. Weekly article, however I forgot to give a ‘shout out’ to you as I stated I would earlier. Sorry CT, must have been stage fright from going first.
Hail Mayor Silva! She got some law and order going on. I like her interjecting when you only have 30 seconds left to speak. Ol’ Mayor Rude-Dog Jones just pulled your plug.

    1. She got some law and order going on. I like her interjecting when you only have 30 seconds left to speak.

Amen! Shes a lady who takes no guff. She’s just not going to sit there and allow those dirty hippies and mental cases scream at and cuss her and other counsel members out like Dickless Jones did for months.

If anyone steps out of line she’ll have their asses thrown in jail. Major kudos to the new mayor.

About time we had some law and order in the chambers. Hopefully the city of fullerton will once again return to conducting real city business in a civilized manner with the new mayor in charge.

      1. Hmm… isn’t “law and order” Fullerton-style the reason the crowd is disorderly in the first place?
“Not taking guff” is not a useful personality characteristic for a Fullerton public official in these times. Anyone who thinks a police abuse crisis can be solved by “getting tough” needs their head examined.

    2. Now I know who you are! lol I let you go first instead of me, my heart was still pounding from going off on the three idiots! Thank you for helping with the reading!

  47. Wrong Guy :
Nice play-by-play chatting about the council meeting above…lol.

Kids too busy doing that when they should be listening is indicative of the times we live in. Is what it is.
Good seeing you (and everyone else of course) tonight, sorry I had to bail early…kids and such. 😉

Congrats to Sharon, she was overdue that position whether anyone likes it or not; I am hopeful that she will be a good change here. That said I wish she (and Bruce for that matter) commented on the article that you all read into the record, but I guess politicians are just that first and foremost…we shall see I guess.

  48. Did anyone notice that Dennis person, who is a former LEO and trained under McKinley (and has his nose up his ass as well) try to challenge Ron Thomas’ position as a fomer sheriff deputy?
Madame Quirk-Silva had to tell that ‘boy’ to talk to the council, not Ron Thomas.
    Anyway, what’s this Dennis’ deal?

    1. Dennis- was in such a hurry the asshat forgot to take the tag of his sunday go to meeting shirt- nice job buddy the tag said 19.99 and the entire front row behind him was trying to see what the sale price was…6 bucks- not sure how they connect Ron old job to the murder of Kelly- am I lame but I dont get it.

  49. Ron Patrick :
Did anyone notice that Dennis person, who is a former LEO and trained under McKinley (and has his nose up his ass as well) try to challenge Ron Thomas’ position as a fomer sheriff deputy?
Madame Quirk-Silva had to tell that ‘boy’ to talk to the council, not Ron Thomas.
    Anyway, what’s this Dennis’ deal?

Yup… He was the first to break Sharon’s classroom rule.. To the office little man!

    1. She also put that loud mouthed little tweaker gal with the glasses in her place too when she started talking to the crowd. God I love Silva.

Like I said before she’s just not going to sit there and allow those dirty hippies and mental cases scream at and cuss her and other counsel members out like Dickless Jones did for months.

She doesnt play around. Sometimes it takes a woman to “man up”.

      1. OK, so we’ve got one Silva devotee in the “everyone I don’t like is a dirty hippie” camp. You’re not exactly doing favors for your new Mayor by disparaging the citizens, you know?

        1. Give it a rest.

Mayor dickless ran the city chambers like the Jerry Springer show. He sat there and allowed all of the hippies, crazies, druggies and mentally ill scream, curse, disrupt the meetings, call people names, you name it.

Glad to see Silva isnt going to put up with it anymore.

                1. I find it interesting not one of you-anon’s have ever come up to me at a meeting introduce yourself and validate why you have the cajones to post things with out validating it. Not one. I would say- the little blonde with glasses has more integrity than you that hide behind your fake name.
Those who stand for nothing will fall for everything.

      2. How many times do I have to tell you people..Ms Walker has never purchase meth from any of my people…she has a fast metabolizm….now I is a drug dealer…and can smell a fat lady trying to post that every skinny woman is a tweeker honey ( so obvious)keep on thinkin that…but hey sausage fingers…maybe you could use some speed…only a woman would say man up…go inside your pantry and eat the rest of your esteem. How embarrasin’

  50. The Fullertonista :
I would like to give her a chance. But my god, does she really not see the irony in telling people who are only there because of the corruption, brutality and malfeasance of the police, that she will instruct the police to remove them by force if they breach her rules?!

She will lighten up hopefully.. All I have to say is McKinley needs to go real fast..
Seriously, what an absurd and critical lapse in judgement that was. Sharon, if you are reading this, or if someone forwards it to you – the moment you instruct police to remove citizens from a city council meeting marks the decisive end of any support you have in this community. Just cross that line. You work for the citizenry, not the other way around. And we are in NO MOOD to be bullied or scolded.

  51. yea yea hippies are dirty and are stupid, and what is with theat crazy lady always going on about her cop husband can any one understand that lady

  52. Jt :The OC Weekly consistently does GREAT reporting. Best investigative journalists around. Period.

Thats why its free, cause no one would pay money for it.

  53. Anonymous :

Jt :The OC Weekly consistently does GREAT reporting. Best investigative journalists around. Period.

Thats why its free, cause no one would pay money for it.

Marisa is going much bigger places than the Weekly, and that article is proof and troof (lol) of it.

    1. OC Weekly has a small but excellent pool of reporters. Anybody who doesn’t know that just isn’t paying attention. Among other things, they are the only major media entity systematically documenting police brutality and political corruption throughout Orange County.

  54. Concerned Texan :I’m glued to my computer screen even though it’s a 5 minute recess. Ron Thomas WAS awesome, but I don’t know why they voted McKinley for anything.

I wish they would of given Ron Thomas the opportunity to answer the question about his law enforcement career. I didnt see Ron running to the podium. Thats because he didnt have one.

  55. Jt :Understandable that you feel that way if you’re one of the crooks and scoundrels they continually expose,

No just someone with an opinion, just like you have one.

  56. Erin :Hopefully the medical procedure he is having tomorrow is a lobotomy.. Just saying..

You should have one..or maybe you already did. Cause you sounded really stupid tonight.

  57. karma :That is exactly what I feel. I just don’t get it. she is a snake in the grass.

She used all you idiots for her advantage. Her own agenda. You are just getting that? Suckers!!

  58. Wrong Guy :Ron didn’t rush to the podium however he did tell that idiot to address the council.

Yeah cause he has nothing to say about his law enforcement career. Cause he was never a cop.

  59. Anonymous :
yea yea hippies are dirty and are stupid, and what is with theat crazy lady always going on about her cop husband can any one understand that lady

She rambles on a lot. Just what the hell is her problem anyway??

  60. Just a very heavy accent. Getting screwed under by her cop hubbie of Long Beach. Lots of detail but it took me a long time to get it through the thick latina accent.

      1. The same ramble, the city council members told her they would help her…then they publically mocked her..Mc Kinley publically mocked her- now she is pissed this guy who is supposed to be held to a higher standard , and runs the SHE BEAR- who is supposed to protect women, mocked a lady for domestic violence…he was all about helping her until – YOU guessed it…Patty boy found it wa a cop…and then the story changed…seriously if they had fucked you over like that I would be right behind you….so mock away –

  61. Silva All The Way :Give it a rest.
Mayor dickless ran the city chambers like the Jerry Springer show. He sat there and allowed all of the hippies, crazies, druggies and mentally ill scream, curse, disrupt the meetings, call people names, you name it.
Glad to see Silva isnt going to put up with it anymore.

That’s one of the many reasons why they probably voted her in as mayor. A woman teacher is PERFECT right now to silence the f-bombs and the screaming, childish behavior. She’s running this like a classroom. I laugh because I’ve got a family full of teachers, so it’s like listening to aunts, cousins and siblings talk when I hear her give warnings. It really is perfect though. No one believes me when I say it’s time to re-tool, but really, it is. People are getting sick of the behavior at the council meetings and I guarantee you, Sharon Quirk will stop it in 3 meetings. The obnoxious crap worked at the beginning of the fight, but not now. It’s over, folks.

    You don’t believe me? Watch.

    1. “I laugh because I’ve got a family full of teachers, so it’s like listening to aunts, cousins and siblings talk when I hear her give warnings.”

And we wonder why education is in decline.

    2. If you are sick of the behavior, come down and take over- do I dare you! You wont, you will just complain and sit in your house up off bastanchury- with you illegal garderners mowing your lawn as you talk about illegal immigration, we all know people like you- YOU ARE THE PROBLEM, and the problem you have with the rest of Fullerton is – we are right and you are not. Either be part of the solution or get down here and explain yourself.

  62. First of all, now that Quirk-Silva is Mayor, the speakers at the podium will be much less agitated and less likely to give the cops a reason to intervene, as was demonstrated tonight. The majority like her, thus less confrontation…
    Nothing is over, however.

    1. You’re probably right that the speakers will be less agitated. I say where’s the fight though if there’s a peaceful council meeting?

I’m glad that nothing is over, but what is the next step? The screaming is not going to work anymore, so what’s the next step? Is there a next step?

What is the signature update, by the way? Is it almost done?

      1. what is the next step? The screaming is not going to work anymore, so what’s the next step? Is there a next step?

        1. Go home

        2. Take meds

        3. Get a job

The screaming never worked. The problem is Doctor Dickless Jones sat there and gave a platform to the drug heads, wackjobs and other undesirables which gave them the illusion that their incomprehensible ramblings actually made a difference.

Fun time is over for the $,$$$,$$$ “army” now there is a woman in charge with more balls than her predecessor ever will have in a lifetime.

        1. You don’t care about the police murdering, assaulting, and sexualy assaulting people. You care about your city council not being stained by the presence of “those people.”

Is your brownshirt nicely pressed and ironed?

        2. Look baby you got to get off the computer, the coleslaw is ready. Your parole officer will be here soon shouldnt you get rid of the child porn and the meds?
Fun time is about to begin…and guess who’s in my sights?

        3. Hey reality called and wanted to know if you still had your do not disturb sign on your whats left of your brain.

  63. Thank you all for helping with the reading of the article! It literally could not have been done without you. And thank you to the ones who were back up if needed.

The actual reason it was read was to show how things continued and worsened under McKinley and were fostered by not only him but by Jones and Bankhead.

  64. Wow,
I go to bed and the blog continues. It’s a pleasant way to wake up. Hey Wrong Guy, Good Job! No worries about the shout out I was still paying attention. One that note I would like to respond to a comment from VW. I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt that it was a harmless joke but I would like to offer another perspective. I’m in Texas and sadly can not afford at this moment to travel to Fullerton for a council meeting. I promise I am well educated, well spoken, and have a sturdy attention span. Last night this blog allowed me to actively participate with the people of Fullerton “real time” while watching the meeting. I’m grateful for that. I would add a smiley face to that statement but I absolutely refuse to be like “Reality Is.” Have a great day everyone and I look forward to reading more commentary from y’all.

  65. Good luck to Fullerton’s new Mayor, Sharon Quirk-Silva on her first day as Mayor.
I already appreciate her non-use of the gavel, as opposed to her predecessor, Judge Jones.

    1. Hear Hear!

And more importantly she conducts the city’s business as it should be, in an adult manor unlike her predecessor who conducted it like the Jerry Springer show.

He let all of the city’s druggies and crazies scream, yell, boo, ramble, etc for months. No other city would have put up with that garbage.

Instead of throwing their smelly asses out like she’s prepared to do, he just sat there taking it and occasionally banged his gavel like some child and instead of allowing them an extra minute or two of rambling an cursing like he did, she gives them a 30 second warning before cutting them off right at the 3 minute mark.

They won’t dare call her the names that they called him because they know she’ll have their lazy drugged up butts thrown in jail in a jiffy. Good riddance to dickless jones.

      1. Wow. What a deeply undemocratic and authoritarian mind you have. I suspect you’re not actually a Silva fan at all but a plant trying to weaken support for her.

If you are actually a supporter, hear this. The first person arrested at a city council meeting for being a “druggie and crazy” and we will shut the whole city council down. Our city, not yours. Our city council, not yours.

          1. Its my city…..its OUR city, as buck toothed, and bruised as she is- she is ALL of ours-Im not embarrassed to say I live here Im embarrassed of its close minded, rude, unethical, crazy driving douche nozzels that are unable to change an opinion on anything- I asked a woman at the womens meeting, if I caught a man in the act of molesting a child, red handed right in front of her- we would have to agree he was a molester – correct? She said I dont know about that—WTF? How do I learn to live aside prejudiced people who will not see the truth, about anything. How are we going to fix this, when we clearly have different languages.

        1. Our city, not yours. Our city council, not yours.

Hehe. Talk about “authoritarian” and a bit delusional.

I suspect you’re not actually a Silva fan at all but a plant trying to weaken support for her.

And and and the government has planes flying over populated areas 24/7 spraying chemicals …whatever.

…To be quite honest I wasn’t a “fan” until I saw her take the seat as mayor and I was blown away. I didn’t realize how weak and spineless Jones was until she laid down the law.

I thought she was going to be a loretta sanchez type but boy was I wrong. The counsel chambers was a joke and gridlocked for months because dickless jones incompetence but now with her in charge looks like the city will be able to conduct it’s regular business once again.

          1. Nothing has changed as she has been privy to all developments thus far. It is a dog and pony show. 3 down and 2 to go.

          2. Since the “business” of the city seems to largely be to figure out how to give massive redevelopment projects to the Dinosaurs friends and political allies, let me suggest that in this case, gridlock would be preferable.

  66. I couldn’t handle watching the blue hairs
lick the dinosaur butts and had to turn my video feed off. how much of the article ended up being read?

thanks to all who did so!

vw- don’t be disillusioned by Silva, same circus, different clown.

  67. This is Fullertons future,

The Bushala’s are no strangers to Fullerton code enforcement.  A report developed through information secured using the California Public Records Act, summarized in nearly 400 pages of documents, shows 83 separate code enforcement investigations of their numerous properties.

The code violations read like a slumlords holdings in the back-waters of a Louisiana swamp.  Construction without permits, trash, violation of the zoning code, uninhabitable living conditions, illegal rooms, chickens running loose, rat infestations, garbage piles, and illegal vehicle parking are just a few of the complaints about Bushala’s properties.

“It’s now clear why Bushala says he will spend $130,000 to buy the city council he needs through a recall.  The investigation into Bushala’s code violations reveals a pattern of flaunting the law.  It’s clear why he needs a ‘cooperative’ city council to perpetuate his dubious practices,”

    1. Get off the estrogen, Papa-TB is funding this recall to take the burden off Fullerton Citizens-nothing more, nothing less-he is nor ever has held a gun to anyone’s head to make anyone sign a petition-people want these 3 cluster-f’s out of office because they are worthless as tits on a bull-they cant back up anything in writing that they have accomplished currently or in, oh, say, lets go with the last 5-6 years -can you get that? They havent even tried to document this-like the recall is just some fad that will pass.like none of this is serious. Which is obviously the way things are run in Fullerton City Hall.

These nimrods are being recalled from political offices they hold-that they are sworn to uphold by the US constitution-this is not a joke,
and the best they can do is talk about their military service and their character background.

Focus man, Focus-this is about Bankhead, McKinley and Jones not Tony Bushala or his family

    2. To me, I considered these accusations like a volleyball game. The serve goes out with accusations of Chris Thompson having signature gatherers being registered to vote at his house. No one cares? Okay, let’s serve another hit. Tony is a code violator.

And the ball bounces! Without contact!

The chickens were interesting though. Do you at least get your own eggs from them?

  68. Just a couple things from someone who has been supporting Kelly Thomas and his family from the beginning of this horrible murder and when the poo poo hit the fan

1-I would like to know what difference Ron Thomas’s work history makes to the Kelly Thomas case, and why it has become sumch a mission for some people to obtain this info by various means and even comment about it?

2-Sharon QS has been on council and was privey to all kinds of council meetings, public comments, back room discussions and paperwork since 2004…wasnt that the same time as Rincon, Eddie Quiñonez. the 10% water illegal fee, Reba Lewis and the Nordell case?

    just askin

    1. I agreed Meri j- not sure how I see a connection between Mr Thomas old job and Ramos putting on gloves and f’ing kelly up? Can any kook ball from the other side enlighten us- or shut the the f up?

    2. Yep. But it’s pick and choose your suspects now. They all need to go and make the point clear that it’s a history of corruption and bad decisions. Not pick the 3 you don’t like, and forgive the other two. 🙂

  69. vw- don’t be disillusioned by Silva, same circus, different clown.

I’m not…as I said above we shall see.

  70. Hi Merijoe…welcome back from the hole!

Sorry you are wrong. This is all about Bushala and his puppetry seizing power for financial gain. You do not see this for you are only a pawn in his master plan.

    1. yeah and another of my cellmate’s was your mama

And i am no ones pawn-
BTW-You need to adjust your tin foil hat

    2. As I’ve said, and will continue to say, if you make that allegation you at least need some explanation of HOW Tony Bushala will make more money from a new, anti-redevelopment (hopefully) city council.

  71. merijoe :yeah and another of my cellmate’s was your mama
And i am no ones pawn-BTW-You need to adjust your tin foil hat

My mama can beat your ass any day of the week and she is 78.

  72. merijoe :Get off the estrogen, Papa-TB is funding this recall to take the burden off Fullerton Citizens-nothing more, nothing less-he is nor ever has held a gun to anyone’s head to make anyone sign a petition-people want these 3 cluster-f’s out of office because they are worthless as tits on a bull-they cant back up anything in writing that they have accomplished currently or in, oh, say, lets go with the last 5-6 years -can you get that? Focus man, Focus-this is about Bankhead, McKinley and Jones not Tony Bushala or his family

He is wasting his money. Whey doesnt he donate it to the homeless, since he cares so much for them.

    1. Anon-and just how do you know hes not giving money to the homeless? are you his accountant? Why is wanting to get rid of useless politicians who are doing nothing for anyone, including the homeless, a waste? evidently alot of citizens dont agree that its a waste, and back up your claims of “its a waste of money” with facts please

  73. I do my daily walks through out this whole city -almost daily – and I have seen Mr Thomas at all hours walking these streets- so if you are gonna call me a liar- Im right now taking off my gloves one fonger at a time to slap you for posting such blatant lies.

  74. merijoe :Anon-and just how do you know hes not giving money to the homeless? are you his accountant? Why is wanting to get rid of useless politicians who are doing nothing for anyone, including the homeless, a waste? evidently alot of citizens dont agree that its a waste, and back up your claims of “its a waste of money” with facts please

I dont have to back up my story. Ive known him for years and he is not giving money to the homeless. Maybe putting money up his nose. If you know what I mean.

    1. unless you have FACTS you dont know shitola-I dont care how long youve known a person, and mind your own bidness you old gossiping poop

      1. “cant argue with stupid”

So true. And that’s a big part of the problem.

The good news is that many people from all over the US are reading this, and I believe they like what they see: A grassroots effort!

  75. merijoe :yeah and another of my cellmate’s was your mama
And i am no ones pawn-BTW-You need to adjust your tin foil hat

    Ok idiot..stay on point.
