How Many Cops Does It Take to Bust a Honker?

Thanks to Mark for the footage.
Go to 2:10 in the video. Did the cop really say: “I’m here to write you a ticket for excessive FARTING.” ??
omg!! i think he did !! LOL
Looks like the protests are really getting to the guilty.
He says “horning”, not “farting”, but we should all use it as a euphemism from now on.
YES! He did!
but but but he’s just one of those “bad apples”.
he did
Sure did
I heard that on 2:17- am I crazy? listen admin

Here’s more about the guys writing these tickets – from a city with similar retirement benefits to Fullerton’s:
“The proposed pension changes, which would increase city workers’ retirement ages, eliminate automatic cost-of-living adjustments and alter formulas that calculate pensions, are estimated to bring about $8.5 million in savings. The thought of such changes is hard to stomach for Hollywood Police Officer Greggory Forsyth, 42, who hopes to retire in February after 22 years with an annual pension worth 80% of his salary. If the pension changes pass, he would instead get about 67% of his pay if he retires in February and would have to work five additional years to attain 80%.”
Do you guys all get this? A 42 year old is upset because he may have to work until he’s 47 in order to still get an 80% pension. That is, AFTER THE REFORM, the 47 year old cop will retire with an 80% pension. And the gentleman finds this “hard to stomach.”
This absurd sense of entitlement, and complete disconnect from economic reality, are both hallmarks of union indoctrination. It is the UNIONS that are the core problem here. Police organizations are too powerful to also have union organizers step in and become the shadow governments. Anyone running to replace the recalled councilmembers must commit to outlawing public sector unions, especially the ones that organize the police and firefirefighters.

As is the standard on this blog, throw out some information that is false in California and make it look like it’s Fullerton, specifically mentioning the guys writing tickets. Nothing changes on this blog. Throw out a piece of false information and let the hounds nibble on it like it’s good. That’s why so many people discredit the information on this blog because most of it is false and made up.
You can’t retire at 47 in California and you can’t retire at 50 either maxed out on your retirement.
But just let everyone run with your Godly facts.
To many dirt bags are coming to California. Please go home! And take your stupid ideas back to the hole you crawled out of.
When will this endless wave of morons stop rolling in? And that includes all of you from the east coast.
You all smell rank. You are ugly horrible people. Please go away
Most of you are here because you covet our culture, yet you poison it with your dumb ideas and anti-social behavior
So which enterprising attorney wants to head the class action lawsuit for violation of First Amendment RIghts with legal precedent of ACLU vs. City of Ferndale?

From the FBI link:
So much for the “just a few bad apples” theory.
It really is beginning to look like this entire department is totally out of control. They really believe they can thwart a Constitutionally Just demonstration by We The People through petty intimidation? These fools are digging it deeper and deeper. Gads, do I wish I lived there so I could get one of those Golden tickets! Whoever is currently in charge needs to be immediately replaced by someone from an entirely different PD. Way too much cronyism in FPD, and complete incompetence. The Fullerton taxpayers are getting screwed by their own PD!
After the recall and election of a new City Council, Fullerton needs to do a nationwide search for a police chief with a proven track record of cleaning up dirty PDs. Then the New Fullerton City Council needs to back him to the hilt. I would submit, there should be NO promotions within the FPD until at least FIVE years after the new City Council is satisfied the department has actually been rid of ALL the bad apples. I would also suggest reducing the size of the department to help defray costs of lawsuits against the city due to the PD. That does not preclude firings for officers who commit unnecessary violent acts during arrests.
Others have suggested a Citizen’s Review Board of Officers with complaints of brutality. That sounds like a great idea in addition to the above.
Also, who negotiates with the Police Union and how often does that occur? Find out who is responsible for negotiations and replace them with new untainted blood. This union needs to have it’s claws trimmed.Just my 2 cents.
Good for Fullerton’s Concerned Citizens. Keep up the good work. Keep the pressure on the DA. You folks Rock!
Xer. The sweet irony is that the officers that pulled him over in front of the Goodwill after writing his license plate down moments earlier, are none other than the President and Vice President of the union that represents the Fullerton Police officers.
Looks like the whole of Fpd is moldy and rotten to its very core!
I am told that the officer who cited you is actually the union president.
Not only is it the association president but the officer with him is the association vice president…well at least they were working OT instead of pretending to go to work and cheating on his wife like he usually does
The FBI/Justice Department need to step in NOW!
Which authorized these cops to cite honkers ? Ultimately , the captain /watch commander is responsible! These guys would’nt do it on their own without being prompted to do so!
thank you mark
Travis another fine waste of everyones time!! Keep posting crap like this and you will go from 10 bloggers and supporters of FFFF to about 2!!! Good job!!!
Anytime you complain means you are feeling the smart. So, it looks like they are doing the right thing, eh, Gracie?
I guess we’ll see who the city council thinks was wasting everyone in Fullerton’s money when I take this video into the city council meeting and get it admitted to the public record and ask if this is what we are paying are officer’s to do on their overtime? Those two officers looked like they should’ve been at a Weight Watchers meeting instead of getting fatter off of our hard earned tax dollars that we’ve been overfeeding them on for too long.
Really???? after saying your that continously on every posting for weeks, why doesnt FFFF start with the loss of YOUR readership?
Why DO you keep coming back and commenting if you feel that way
Good job
Really??? What’s wrong, can’t give your real name? REALLY???
Nope. It just increases it, peabrain!
I is more smarter than any of you!!!
Really, Really ???????????? You came back again?? That’s f’n great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I thought you said all these posts were such a waste of time and you were getting “more dumber!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”
I’m glad to see that you have had a change of heart and continue to grace use with your wisdom (as well as your infatuation with punctuation)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
By the way, Really, if there are only 2 – 10 bloggers / posters on this site generating thousands of individual posts, they are working their f’n assess off, don’t you think??????????????????????
I say they deserve some kind of an f’n medal!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If you believe that my friend, you have not been paying attention. What is crap is that our very expensive police department is wasting their time pursuing excessive honking. If they have time to send a team out to reduce honking at a protest, then the department is either poorly managed or we have too many cops.
You realize they have to spend all kinds of overtime also to monitor and be ready for the protestors too right? That whole team is on overtime and due to complaints decided to take enforcement action. Lose lose for them. If they don’t do something the people complaining get mad. If they do enforce, the protestors get mad.
whoops, damned if they do, damned if they dont…lets see? maybe, they shouldnt have beat Kelly Thomas to death, then try to cover it and they wouldnt have to deal with any of that, snap
Duh. Snap.
There is a such thing as a warning.
“then the department is either poorly managed or we have too many cops.”
Let me fix that for you:
“then the department is poorly managed and we have too many cops.”
Let’s see… No amplified music in DTF but excessive horn honking, protestors impeding traffic and taking business parking spaces is ok. It’s ok as long as Tony Bushala says it’s ok.
Hey by the way, how’s is Georgie’s case coming along?
Nice try. Political speech is protected above all other forms of speech, including outdoor music.
A) there is no such thing here in Fullerton as “business parking spaces”, as all parking on the street is public access. However, the owner of the antique store and clock shop posted a sign in front of their shop, and I “watched” (no pun intended) those spots all day and asked that the protesters honored their wishes and leave those spaces open, even though they had every legal right to park there, and everyone complied and left them open. Protesters are savvy enough and considerate enough to realize that these people are trying to make a living and tried to help. Personally, if they were my shops I wouldv’e offered a protesters and honkers welcome and advertise a 10 % discount “justice or just us” discount to get them to shop in my store.
FPD launch “Operation Chickenshit”. I wonder what “idea guy” at city hall was able to sell this as a great way to discourage protesters. The pure ridiculousness of these citations now gives the press something to talk about, when today was pretty dull overall as protests go.
I love it: Operation Chickenshit. I can’t imagine which of these overstuffed dunderheads coughed up this hairball but I would bet the farm FF Goodspork was in the room.
Goodspork? That’s pretty funny on several levels.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?NR=1&v=3fUtYEZwgXk&feature=fvwp
Where can i get some of these horns for everyone!
LOL thats pretty cool!!
hey, does anyone play the bagpipes???
must have been a slow day for crime huh??
Ooo this is rich…..the honking is disturbing who? The 2 horrible “antique” stores that hawk gawdish peacock lamps, they managed to swindle outta grandma for 30 bucks..Only to throw on price tag of 600 bux…and the clock store-” honkings” offending who- I have never seen..ok wait…one time- I have seen 1 person walk in there= so let me get this straight the entire Police is on high alert for people that honk in a 200 yard radius…..to protect the antiques store and the clock mans…collective 1 CUSTOMER? a big WTF?
isnt there a city ordinance against businesses put out signs on the sidewalk like that clock shop does every saturday to warn protesters not to park their cars in front of their clock shop? ask that at the council meeting with the reason why the ticketing for honking goes on but bo ticket for the clock shop or the murder of Kelly
mj- there is an ordinance, and i will be asking the clock shop to remove said sign…..On it! or they may have a sign of mine- asking the ONE customer of the shop not to park in front of my building…tis scaring the kids…why not lie they do.Ok maybe it isnt scary for the kids but it is for me….free speech zone…as long as its not in front of my crappy establishment…puhleese
there’s a big group of gang bangers in back of my shop now. raymond ave by bananas. it’s not bananas. it’s just next door. i can’t live with it anymore. i’m tying to save the world, but the cops rolled me so i dont’ trust them.
i’m really scared all the time. i can’t get my biz started w all the bad govt, cops and gang people. maybe i will go back home and leave you lame MF to fight over scraps
You call a murder by cop, “scraps” ? ggodbye then.
Thats part of change, its scary and you have to endur hates peech and stupid intimidation tactics by those who dont want it
There are times you have to do some major blowback to the bully or they keep you under their thumb
saw this cop today. he wouldnt look at me. he had a very nice stick. nice finished wood. wow. still going on in fullerton. and when they fuck with me… i’m a millianaire. don’t fuck with me! i will fuck with you more than you can imagine.
cmon the gang bangers are right here. maybe the cops don’t care. i can’t even get my business going in fullerton because i’m surrounded by gang people… and the police give me PROBLEMS! they must be paid off. i’d love to see a dozen cop cars here now!
sorry. daily life for me. can’t call the cops. they might kill me. they allready rolled me and crushed my rights. next they will come into my palce and i will have to sue the pants off all of them. can’t stop me
officer gilbert. wait til i see you again. i’m gonna palce you under arrest!
easily done you wimpy piece of shit. you were so out of control i could have taken you weapon in 1 sec and killed you both. that’s really bad policing. you were so vaunerable. for a long time. just to fuck w me? i could have killed you both. earnest? you were the other guy. sure you didn’t rape anyone?
this happened just before major shit hit the fan in late july. happy b-day to me. fuuuuuck you fullerton cops!
i have gangs paying off the cops right next door… check it out!
i’m never posting again. i have nothing more to say. the FPD gives me more trouble than the violent gang that’s right next door. get a clue you stupids. the corruption is on many levels. many getting rich. i’m looking at them dealing drugs. why would i want to talk to the cops again? i tell them and for some reason they don’t care… it’s a payoff! i’m sick of it
“soundguy” film it, post it, PAYBACKS a BITCH!
Time, place and manner rules have been upheld by courts as being exempt from the 1st Am if they are not based on the message or content of the speech. I browsed through some case law on line for honking of horns.
If it is really prolongued and “merely” designed to harass an individual (the case I read was 10 minutes solid in front of a neighbor’s house who the defendant was having a dispute with). The honking in Fullerton was clearly intended to send a message protected by 1st Am – not to harass or annoy someone.
For this story and the companion one on Goodrich to be more effective, I’d record the honking going on as well as the cops reaction. I’d cite the local statute at issue, and I’d consult with FFFF’s friendly first amendment attorney for an opinion or get a statement from the cops about what is excessive and why. Even if the statute can be interpreted to ban the honking, that statute might not be in line with the constitution.
But frankly, the argument that the cops can’s enforce any law because of what they did to Kelly is a weak one. Deal with the speech issue on its own terms and you’ll make a stronger case for yourselves and with the public.
Please note: I am not saying ANY of the honking tix were appropriate. I am simply saying deal with the details of the First Amendment issue, not with unrelated issues. An example would be if there was some kind of demonstration supporting the troops and honking went on just as lengthily and no one was ticketed.
“But frankly, the argument that the cops can’s enforce any law because of what they did to Kelly is a weak one. Deal with the speech issue on its own terms and you’ll make a stronger case for yourselves and with the public.”
You’ve missed part of the the point, and nobody is seriously arguing that. The point is not that they shouldn’t enforce the law, but rather the irony in that their picayune application. One guy gets a ticket for honking. Six others walk away from a murder. Which does hint at their lack of moral (not legal) authority to cite anybody for anything
Of course nobody gets a ticket for honking in support of troops or even fake heroes like the cops themselves.
BTW, can someone please identify that SWINE who gave the guy a ticket. We’ve got to start naming the names of these goons!
I agree with the commenter above. I don’t think there is a single “good” cop in Fullerton.
“Six others walk away from a murder…”
Inflammatory nonsense. You do realize that you just not only contradicted yourself, you proved ExPat’s point, right?
Oh yes let’s take those tix to court. I can just see the judge now. Okay, officer Tub O’Guts, how did you know it was actually Mr. X who was honking?
Um, some guy on a walkie talkie said so.
Hmm. Officer Sack O’Crap, there were lots of cars honking how did you know this guy was honking at all?
Orrrrrrr, there was no imminent danger to anybody, this was not even a nuisance, but an exercise in Free Speech. Case dismissed.
How many cops does it take?
One radio man and four patrol units to give a guy a ticket for using his horn.
Add it up and it probably cost the taxpayers $500 to give out that ticket.
THAY ACT LIKE MEN,but thay are not the cop,s are very scared, very thay know that thay are evil. that,s y thay run in gang,s hopeing not to get what thay have been dealing out to you.
THIS is ALL GOOD….The FPD playing little boy revenge games on the good citizens of Fullerton because we’re demanding justice for their ‘evil’ actions against Kelly Thomas.
Gotta big laugh out of those poor lyin’ idiots trying to rationalize to the media how they told the protesters to minumize the honking, then if they don’t, they will be getting citations. When, where and how were they able to warn drivers to ‘minumize honking’? I didn’t see any FPD out there talking to drivers before they sent out their ‘hunters’.
Here’s the deal, FPD and other local officials:
As you can see by this video, many of us(and there are much more of us than you punks) are now camera’d up, lawyered up and some of us even ‘Armed’ up. Most of your ‘dirty tactics’ such as wrongful arrests, physical abuse, Gestapo-like raids and just flat out bullshit is going to be filmed and documented and shown to the world, just as this one was.
Your ‘Little Boy-like’ behavior is making the Cub Scouts of America look like a good replacement for you A-holes!!! You’d better watch yourselves from here on out.
Let’s see you try ot fu*# with the ‘WRONG GUY’.
Don’t forget

Here’s another one to read, print, and emulate. http://blogs.findlaw.com/legally_weird/2010/03/first-amendment-rights-the-middle-finger-and-police-officers.html
If they keep citing we need to start flipping them off. It’s protected free speech and if they try to ticket or arrest you for it that’s a guaranteed win when you file a lawsuit.
A friend told me she was at a bar in DTF a couple years ago and that a girl there was injured. She and a few other friends were leaving when a guy friend went back inside to find someone. As he walked past the girl, he said, “Are you okay?” (Yes, he was drunk at the time and therefore voiced his concern freely.) One of the officers with her said, “We don’t need any of YOUR kind around here.” So the guy walked back to the car where his friends were, while purposely using his middle finger to scratch his head.
My friend said the next thing she heard was her friend’s knees hit the ground because the cop took after him, hit him at his knees, then put him to the ground and cuffed him. My small, unintimidating friend asked, “What did he do? Where are you taking him? I don’t know where the station is here in Fullerton.” The arresting officer replied, “If you ask one more question, then you’re next.” They put her friend in the patrol car, and one of the cops had enough decency to walk back to my friend and let her know how to find the station.
I’m so sick of these immature, antagonistic frat boys. Clear them out and leave only the best ones. I’m sure there’s a line a mile long of respectable men and women who would be thrilled to have the opportunity to serve in Fullerton.
Describing them as frat boys is most likely offensive to actual frat boys.
At least the frat boys passed the SAT.
We need the names of those arresting thugs, err I mean cops, if you’ve got them.
just wait until someone wants to sue their petty asses..
I GUESS THE BONE IN GOODRICH,S TOUNG IS BROKEN THAT,S Y HE CAN,T TELL THE TRUETH
ALSO the cerebral capacity in Goodrich’s head is deteriorating, that’s why he sound like a bumbling idiot!
I’m glad the people in the City of Fullerton are getting tired of us. Now they should call the City Council, Fullerton Police and the Orange County District Attorney and tell them to convict the cops who murdered Kelly Thomas. I promise you, we will go away then and only then!
This video goes to john and ken-hope others do the same
and note the presence of that “ever-so-helpful at the protests” skinny bald cop standing next to officer Snitch and Intimidate
How Many Cops Does It Take to Bust a Honker?
Should be: “How Many Fullerton Cops Does it Take to Beat a Honker to death?”
This guy was lucky, I guess they only had 4 or 5 cops there. If there had been 6, watch out.
If I were there, I would have activated my horn until they dragged me out of my car and started beating me.
I really fear humans like those cops and the ones who want you all to leave the area
they have no Love.. Love doesn’t let them mistreat others and show no respect for honor/truth/freedom
*fwiw* they are the same people who would vote to “send the bombs” “”to help”” other countries.. you cannot keep sending out bombs and not expect them to come back
How did we get this way as a whole species…. when we take time to momentarily leave what you see in front of you and rise above to take in the big picture of LIFE… it could be so much better if somehow someday we all woke with Love for OURSELVES overflowing so that we would never mistreat another… when doing so you recognize the other in yourself and yourself in the other and that knowledge doesn’t allow us to hurt one another..
When you look at the history of the Peacemakers..

Our minds are real and we educate those through childhood and beyond…
What about our Heart… is it only nurtured through wisdom or can we read/listen/watch information that nurtures it
sry to ramble too much
Made me LMAO for real TY
You just made me realize how that Citizen ROCKED his boat with
Kindness.. “we are against murdering” and asked dude to join him in the fight
as a fullerton lifer, I’ve had more good than bad experiences with fullerton PD. Sadly, especially for Kelly thomas and his family members, the FPD has been corrupted by its current and past leadership and encouraged and furthered by Fullerton city council members tacit approval. On a sadder note, the weekly protesters from the community who seek to stop our civic leaders from covering up a murder by the FPD, now are intimidated by the police. This is how Bankhead, McKinley and Jones respond to the genuine concerns and moral outrage of their constituents?
Hmmm… I might just have to drive by there next Saturday and blast the locomotive horn I have in my F-350!
you might get a ticket or a beatdown-scared?
Me thinks this city now has too many Federal lawsuits and potential prosecutions to do anything STUPID again, soon!! AND, if anything like that should happen, I simply dial Mr. Mardirossian to handle the situation!
They are just trying to intimdate anyone who supports the Thomas family. These 6 should be tried for murder. They used excessive force. They teach at the local academy that, “niceness is a sign of weekness!” They also teach to shoot the suspect and use all your anmo in your magazine and save the dog! It saves the cities money. When I heard these phrases I couldn’t believe it! They also said that “It isn’t cheating unless you get caught!’
Therse F’rs need to be handled with what they have been taught..
I lost my job as a police officer for “not being aggressive enough.” I have two degrees and had prior police experience. This type of policing goes on everywhere. Kindness is seen as weakness and as a threat to those who don’t know how to handle themselves diplomatically.
Unless you acted outside of protocol, I’d think you’d have a case.
Dominate personalities tend to be the 50 % less productive than a collaborative personality type.
Looks like you may have been fired for making the others look bad.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Situational_leadership_theory
It would be nice if those officers would do their job and keep the real criminals in line.
Everyone needs to put better management into local Gov., but so many idiots won’t vote and get involved.
Nationalized citizens vote more the native born Americans do!
“Goodrich says the police department has received “numerous complaints from residents and businesses” about the protesters in the past few weeks.”
Sounds like the FPD is setting the protestors up for more blood in the streets. This is the same way they set Kelly up for his bashing.
I just don’t see that happening!
lets see the phone records for a definition of “numerous”
Im going to hang my ass out the window and honk that horn
Also, let there be no mistake… EVERYONE knows EXACTLY what happened regarding Kelly Thomas! EVERYONE!! ALL members of the city council know damn well along with EVERYONE in the police department! These people aren’t stupid! THEY KNOW EXACTLY WHAT HAPPENED!! They can’t admit it or talk about it, but they all know DAMN WELL WHAT HAPPENED! So, when they say they don’t know why Kelly died, it is an insult to the intelligence of anyone with two ears!
You go merijoe. I will if you will!
We could all moon the cops like they do to the passing Amtrak train down south of here!! LOL!! Just let me be there with the camera!
Let’s all send an invite out to everyone we know, via e-mail and social media outlets like Facebook and ask them to drive by next Saturday between 9am and 1pm as the protest will be cut short due to the Farmer’s Market happening from 3pm to 8pm. Tell them to blast their horns. I will be posting this invite on my FB profile with that insert from OCR talking about the citations to drivers honking. People would love to come and get under these Pus^#’s skin.
ClassActionLawsuit for Harassment?
They’re all seriously pompous and self-righteous. It would have served them much better to leave all of the protesters alone because at least then we could have assumed some of them were genuinely good people. I’m sure some of them are, but it’s beginning to look like being a complete jerk at the Fullerton Police Department is the status quo.
I also love that he tells the guy he has no idea what he’s talking about. He knows EXACTLY what he’s talking about and to pretend otherwise just makes him look like even more of an insensitive bastard.
I know someone else who got a ticket for this yesterday. So if admin wants more names, then I can have him contact you.
Basically, they’re making it look like they’re all standing behind the officers who are responsible for what happened to Kelly Thomas. Idiots. Absolute idiots.
let them try to ticket everybody-We’re fighting for you Kelly
Lets see-those Keystone cops and friends are upset to the point of- calling some hornblowers who may lean on their horn for oh, I’d say half a block, lawbreakers and they deserrve tickets or handcuffs for that, but if if you pummel a man to resemble corn beef hash, you dont deserve anything at all? Is that what you mean, all you whiners out there?
we aint going away
I wonder which head cop in charge gave the order to ticket “Honkers”?
Any FPD willing to spill the beans?
Captain Dan Hugh’s gave the order. That comes straight from the horses mouth..
I knew that the captain was a rat weeks ago! Said so on this blog weeks ago! I had bad jujus about him and told Ron Thomas as much! The captain is part of the problem!!!!
I knew that the captain was a rat weeks ago! Said so on this blog weeks ago! I had bad jujus about him and told Ron Thomas as much! The captain is part of the problem!!
Erin , did Hughes tell you himself that he gave the order to cite honkers?
“Erin” cut the bullshit.
No, there is not a single officer so war who is willing to spill the beans and sign his or her name to it. This city is fresh out of Serpicos.
They’re afraid of job retaliation. We need to figure out some way of protecting whistleblowers ASAP.
Pretty much like every other city. There’s a reason they made a movie about Frank.
Finally, on something, we agree.
But we need to think about what we can do about it in this city.
If you honk your horn they will come..
soundguy, please come to the City Council meeting on the 20’th. You have a good gripe!
A suggestion to get more drivers to honk:
Instead of YELLING at them to honk, or GETTING CLOSE to their vehicles, just give them a thumbs up or a peace sign or a friendly wave.
I have been at 6 protests and I’ve learned that this type of approach has been more effective to achieve a significant amount of honks.
I noticed one guy that has been there and he walks right up to the cars, pointing his finger at them to honk and that only works 10% of the time. Most get the impression that he is some hopped up drug-crazed idiot and give him weird looks at best. His heart is in the right place, but his rally methods are off-based.
Just a suggestion.
W.G.
That’s been my observation as well. I also pat my heart afterwords to let them know that my most vital organ heard them too.
Agreed. Two weeks ago there were two guys in particular that were getting in drivers faces when they refused to honk. I told them both to step back. They did not seem to get that this was not going to win anyone over to our side. Then some man rolled down his window and yelled at my wife. He told her told her to fuck off and go home, which is his right as far as I’m concerned. You have to expect a few of those. Lets just say she could have handled the incident more gracefully . After that I was less vigilant with the before mentioned two.
Exactly. As much as people on here refuse to agree with it, there are everyday citizens that support the Kelly cause but are sick of the protests and the out of towners making a mess of their city. Both groups need to respect each other and keep focused on their cause.
“Both groups need to respect each other and keep focused on their cause.”
That’s an awfully radical concept here at the moment.
Have you guys actually been to any of the protests? What “mess of the their city”? These are legal demonstrations, and not a single bit of trash is leftover afterwards. I’ve not seen any discourteous behavior by any protestors. Just a few yuppies in SUV’s flipping off protestors every once in a while on their way to get a manicure.
“…are sick of the protests and the out of towners making a mess of their city…”
Have any proof Mr. ‘I only deal with the facts?’ How do you KNOW any of the protesters are from out of town? Also from what I have read the protesters have been cleaning up after themselves. Has anyone who has actually been at the protests anything to say about these ‘unbiased’ allegations?
Or is this another of Fruit Cake Reality’s OPINIONS he tries to pawn off as unvarnished fact?
Thanks Jt, that answered one of my questions. It felt like Fruit Cake was spewing lies again.
Ditto with my experience’s at the protest each Saturday. Not one ounce of trouble and the site of the protest is ALWAYS left better at 3pm than when we arrived at 9am. I should know as I live within a minute of where the protests are held.
Thank you for the firsthand information, fullerton lover.
Evidently it IS another Fruit Cake Reality Is a liar. He’s like the Energizer Bunny except instead of going, and going, and going, he just keeps on lying, and lying, and lying…
Thank you… they can’t even police themselves.. why are they employed?
OMG .. WTF is wrong with this fucking city??!! We have a fucking voice and you can’t keep us from fucking using it. Fuck you Fullerton coppers. I can’t wait to see this hit the fucking news. What fucking idiots.
corrupt -plain and simple They are legalized mobsters
Watching from out of state. Don’t quit protesting this outrage. Beware though, this situation could escalate into a deadly confrontation with the police. I live in Oklahoma and admire your courage for protesting and standing up for KT.
My condolences to Ron Thomas and surviving family.
May Kelly rest in peace.
The ReasonTV video at the link below could just as easily be about Fullerton instead of Lake Arrowhead:
http://reason.com/blog/2011/09/09/autopsy-results-revealed-in-mo
Maybe someone from Fullerton could invite some of the people from Lake Arrowhead to come down the mountain and explain whether anything they have done has made a difference in terms of how the police operate. Lake Arrowhead sounds like your unofficial sister city.

Interesting story, the community should think about ending the contract with the Sheriff and starting their own Police Department.
So. since the below is the official reason for hornblowing tickets- say that you were only checking safe operation of your vehicle-how will they know otherwise?
Oh yeah make sure you advise freedom of speech too.
“California vehicle code section 27001, which says motorists may only use their horns when reasonably necessary to insure safe operation of a vehicle. “
Someone needs to make a FOIA request for these supposed “complaints.”
But something tells me they don’t exist, just like the call about the car burlary…
*burglary… blah
utterly ridiculous!
ps, i’m one to notice these things: the guy was bumpin’ suga free when he got pulled over!
‘if you stay ready / you ain’t got to get ready!’
Get a jury trial, get a lawyer, have these cops take the stand. (I bet they won’t show though)
Amerika, land of the Free .. MY ASS!
FPD seems to escalate any situation to which they become involved. In an otherwise peaceful environment, they manage to introduce havoc.
Think of the night of July 5th. The transit area was thriving with normal activity. People were coming, people were going. A few entered a bar, a few others stumbled out. A homeless family and Kelly were sitting on a bench passing time before they would go to sleep behind some church for the night.
What changed that otherwise peaceful environment into one of shrieks, violence and shrill terror?
Enter FPD.
“Attention citizens, we are here to conduct some business. The constitution has been suspended until we are complete. Put away all recording devices. Come here Kelly, and bring your backpack too.”
Just tweeted the OC weekly s blog story of “horn-gate” to KFI
why can’t FPD figure it out. If they would have just done their job (as they were supposed to do) from the beginning, they wouldn’t be so concerned about honking horns. FPD WILL NOT take any accountability for their actions. Kill someone, get a paid vacation (tax free!)
This is just another form of “cover up”, trying to create an issue out of nothing to distort the real issue at hand. They wont take any responsibility for their actions. PD is just waiting for this whole thing to blow over.
Ya, PD was sort of accomodating of the demonstrations early on (because they had to be, the public was to outraged).
Now PD see’s the demonstrations as a nuissance to their own personal agenda (pensions, protection, job retention, exposing the truth) and they want to find any reason at all to subdue the protests. I will tell you now, the overall agenda of FPD right now is to squash the protests without looking like FPD is doing anything wrong.
FPD, the DA, Mayor Jones all have one thing in common: They want this whole thing to “blow over”. DONT LET THAT HAPPEN!
Anonymous, they don’t want to figure it out! They want reality to simply be their way, or else. Why do you think the Residental Troll here prefers to call itself Reality Is? They want to be able to declare what reality is and have everyone slavishly believe as they say to believe. They really are petty tyrants. That is the element McKinley hired and promoted. Of everyone on the Council, McKinley needs to be the first to go!
The FPD is going to go down, OC DA or no DA, CA AG or no CA AG. Either the FBI will shut them down with numerous counts of Civil Rights Abuses and possible RICO counts, or the New Fullerton City Council will fire the acting Chief and open a national search for a new Chief with a good reputation to clean out the trash. One way or another the FPD is going down, and don’t let them fool you with the childish antics. They are spiteful BECAUSE they know they are going down, and they can’t stop it. Much as I like Wrong Guy, don’t listen to talk about Open Carry in Fullerton. Not at THIS time! The FPD would love any excuse, open carry, glass bottles, back talk, ANY excuse to bust heads. By remaining cool, and polite, but resolute you people have already accomplished more than shows on the surface. Stay calm and keep up the good work. The world is watching.
Justice for Kelly!
SO RIGHT We Are All One. When any of us normal citizens get a wrongful arrest from a law enforcement agency, we often need an Attorney$$$$$ to defend us. Then we need a more agressive Attorney$$$$$$$$$$$$$ to file false arrest charges against the “Goon Squad” that rear-ended us in the first place.
Our Country had never been FREE as long as I’ve been around.
And JUSTICE can get REALLY expensive.
I spoke to Captain Dan Hughes after the protest and we had a good discussion. I asked him about the ticketing and he said as far as he knew only two people got pulled over and both had their tickets torn up at the station. I suggest you call him and ask. Be polite and ask him nicely what is up and if he will tear up your ticket.
Captain Dan Hughes
Uniform Division Commander
(714) 738-6840
“Tearing up the tickets” is not the issue, its the priciple of it- the meaning behind it. no one from FPD should have ok’d this practice in the 1st place
I disagree. Keep your ticket and file suit. Zero tolerance for FPD misconduct!
Agree with Jt.
Infringement of First Amendment Constitutional RIGHT. Do not tear up ticket. Talk to Thomas’ attorney. If he is too busy right now, he can give you the name of a good hungry lawyer with time to pursue your Rights violation. Take FPD to Federal Court, then civil suit. Bam, BAM. Hit ’em where it hurts.
Do not allow them to tear up your ticket. They realize they screwed up and would love to tear up that ticket for you. Just say, NO. Hire a lawyer now!
Great suggestion John. Captain Dan Hughes is capable of doing the “right thing”, however he was pinned in a lie by one of the leaders of Kelly’s Army yesterday. I captured a video moment where she was letting Captain Dan know that “he lied to her”. Apparently he told her anyone getting pulled over for honking accessively will get a simple warning first, then a citation if caught doing it again. Such was not the case. No one was given a warning; just a citation, first time around.
Yes, he’s reasonable when he would like to be, however he is just as capable of lying as many upper ranked officers in Any Police Department in America.
If Captain Hughes was bold enough to tell me and three others in the same conversation there were only two tickets issued either he did not know what his charges were doing, they were not following his orders or he lied. Either way that is not good. I will ask him directly about it.
I just uploaded to the following about some of the FPD police action for the record http://youtu.be/PIIsKiS_iz0
John, can you borrow a bicycle and order a helmut-cam quickly online? If you order it second day shipping today, it MAY be at your door by Saturday morn, but I would order it overnight myself. The FPD may issue a trumped up citation if you have a car drive you to where they are ticketing, or even run you in for creating a BS hazard, but I think you could get away with a bicycle pretty easily. Trying to do it on foot, trying to keep up with patrol cars isn’t realistic.
Also, have you guys considered picking up some citizen band walkie-talkies to stay in touch and help get to incidents quickly? One of the police’s most powerful tools is instant communication. No reason you can’t use the same tool. The helmut-cam will run you $200-$300, but imo would be well worth it. The handheld radios should be more like $150-200 for four of them. Check your local Best Buy, or even Costco. If you can’t pick some up locally check online electronics stores. I usually get my equipment from B&H in New York because of having done business with them for well over 30 years I trust them, but you can doubtless find a reputable electronics retailer right there in OC!
Good luck keeping video records. Wish I could be there to help.
And I do agree it is the principle and that is exactly why each person who got a ticket should call him on it. We will find out soon enough how truthful or not the Captain is. Push back.
See? dirty low down skunks-so whatever they want-if they get caught they cover with platatudes “oh we’ll just tear up those tickets” theat shouldnt have been issued in the first place good for one of the leaders for telling hughes a thing or two-I would have done the same thing, and wrong, Id like to see that tape can you download it here?
I have been trying to locate the cable to interface between my camcorder and computer and I can’t find it. No worries. I’m getting ready to make a Best Buy run to get that, then find myself a NICE LOUD PORTABLE HORN for next week’s rally. I’ve looked online and I’ve seen some 135db horns for $25. Yay, Christmas will come early this year!!!
You will be defeated.
ReaIIy??? You will be deflated.
I have no idea who these cops are. Not that I should know, because it is they who should get to know me.
Keep honking! Those tickets will finance the winnings of the Thomas’ family in the civil suit.
Also, Jewish people are not to be trusted.
The only people the honking is bothering are the one’s that want to sweep Kelly’s murder under the rug. Hear no evil. See no evil. Speak no evil. They can play deaf, dumb and blind all they want but people with a conscience and a sense of right and wrong are going to keep making a lot of noise and they’d better get used to it. The sooner they serve justice, the sooner they’ll get peace and quiet. Everyone should be honking until justice is served.
“The only people the honking is bothering are the one’s that want to sweep Kelly’s murder under the rug.”
You really think that’s a fair statement? So the clock store owner who put up a sign kindly requesting protesters park elsewhere and leave the street parking for his customers, you really know for sure that guy wants this whole deal swept under the rug?….. I didn’t think so. And what about the guy “PJ” on the Goodrich thread who complained about the traffic and noise but ended one of his posts with ‘fight on,’ you think he really wants to see it swept under the rug?…
Coopertaion is keyy people, or go ahead and keep letting the FPD marginalize us… your choice.
Come on, EyeNeverSayNo.
“you really know for sure that guy wants this whole deal swept under the rug?….. I didn’t think so.”
Ah, and you have talked to him and he is a big Kelly Thomas supporter? Have you seen a sign in his store advocating Justice for Kelly? Your assumptions about the clock store owner have less supporting evidence than that of the ones bothered by his sign telling protesters to stay away from his store.
Never-the-less, I would advocate people not pestering the man at all. Ignore his sign if you want, but don’t harass him. It would be counter-productive. Keep your focus on your goal.
I do agree with you that car drivers should not overly tax ears of the locals. Freedom of speech is important, terribly important, but laying on the horns for longer than several seconds doesn’t make your point any stronger. Blowing your horn shows support. Leaning on the horn for extended times is only upsetting local people who may otherwise support your cause. Ya’ gotta be reasonable, stay balanced. The PEOPLE of Fullerton are not the enemy, the bad cops are. jmho
By the way, I’m curious, EyeNeverSayNo, are you Susan Kang Schroeder? Or perhaps a clerk/secretary in the DA’s office?
—Xer wrote: “Your assumptions about the clock store owner have less supporting evidence than that of the ones bothered by his sign telling protesters to stay away from his store.”—
Point taken, though it is my understanding (didn’t see it myself last Saturday) that the sign didn’t say ‘stay away from my store,’ it said “Protesters, please don’t park here- we need this for customers.” Having once been in a similar situation with a small business, I would tend to take that sign at face value, he’s saying “hey, no offense but I’m trying to make a living here.” Any other interpretation would be as big of a stretch as me possibly being Ms. Schroeder… but I’ll take that as a compliment because regardless of her politics, she’s a helluva smart woman. Me, I’m not so smart and I’ve got the Y chromosome, but thanks anyway. 🙂
Agree fully with your next-to-last paragraph. Reasonable behavior=community support=reform. We are at an important point here; it would be a huge tactical error to let the cops marginalize the movement. The targets of the recall would love to see that happen.
Y chromosome? Thanks for clearing that up. You could still be a clerk in the DA’s office. I’ve yet to see you not defend him regardless. From everything learnt to date your respect for the man is greater than he deserves, imo. Such unwavering loyalty is usually cross-gendered, thus my confusion. Sorry. You might want to get the prescription checked on those rose-tinted glasses though?
here the link to the video of fpd writing down the licence plate earlier in the day…
http://youtu.be/4aPXfgh8KRA
Hey saw all the vids you posted. You should remane them to have KT’s name in them so they’ll show up in searches.
Example:
Fullerton PD ticketing Kelly Thomas Protesters Pt. 1
Does ANYONE who was at the protest have any video of this man honking his horn? It could prove pivotal in his suit against the FPD to have video proving how long or short the period of time was his horn was engaged. If you have video of this please contact him. Thanks.
The cops do. They videod the whole thing from 3 areas and from the units.
Wrong again as usual “Reality Is”. Fullerton PD doesnt have video in their cars.
Sure they do. Handheld.
Next week we should confuse the cops and hold signs that say “HONK IF YOU SUPPORT THE FULLERTON POLICE”
HONK FOR FREE DONUTS
That’s actually an excellent idea!
S. Baxter, that idea is so funny, it made me laugh my ars off. I love it, I’ll b the first with such sign.
LOL
Doubt anyone would honk.
Fucking hell. Fullerton’s Finest ridding the streets of honkers. What’s next on the agenda, excessive sign waving?
Good job of recording. It’s good to let them know we are watching them right back.
So what is it exactly that y’all expect? The FPD has managed the PR associated with this tragedy in the worst possible way from day one. Did you think their hands off approach every Saturday was going to last forever? Stop whining. They are within their right to use the law of the land to exert some control over the protest. And while you might cite case law until the cows… err pigs… come home, a more productive approach would be to figure out a way to ramp up the protest within legal bounds. Anybody have any ideas?
I’m still waiting for you to explain why the chief investigator for the DA id best pals with Sellers. The DA is crooked and corrupt.
I’m not here to explain away each and every goofy conspiracy theory that might come up, but it’s interesting how the dots never quite seem to connect in quite the way the very few in the tin foil hat crowd here seem to think they do. I mean come on, Sellers has been seriously running for cover with his recently extended medical leave. Why would he do that if he’s protected from the inside? It seems to me that a much more likely scenario is that his supposed good buddy is telling him “Mike old pal, get out while you can, this thing is blowing up big time and we are about to file serious charges against the officers involved.”
I don’t think it even got that far. Sellers knew it was going to be long and drawn out for years and with his medical issues and full retirement, he said time to go out of state and retire.
I believe the point of Jefferson’s question was if the DA was so uncorruptible why would he appoint a known friend of the Fullerton Police Chief to be the lead investigator on crimes committed by officers of the Fullerton Police Department. Which seems like a completely reasonable question.
This is not about black helicopters or alien abductions. Nobody is wearing a tin hat out here. If you yourself are not a cop troll, you should at least be aware of the overlap between your depictions of the rest of us, and theirs.
Agree. Prove that and I’ll buy it. Like many things on here a majority of the info is made up, assumed, or lies to spark anger or action. Show me one case where this investigator that is good friends of Sellers was assigned to investigate and follow up on misconduct by Fullerton officers. Simple request.
It was a prior story right here on FFFF. Whistleblower tip. You guys don’t like whistleblowers do you.
— jt wrote: “Which seems like a completely reasonable question.”
Umm, I didn’t see an actual question in jefferson’s post, just a request to try to explain away yet another conspiracy theory. This one being that ONE of the DA’s many Thomas case investigator’s (not sure where jefferson got the ‘chief investigator’ part, I guess he thought it sounded better), Stan Berry, is a close personal friend of Sellers. The source for this revelation? An “unsigned note” sent in to FFF.
http://www.fullertonsfuture.org/2011/uh-oh-is-the-das-investigation-in-the-hands-of-the-chiefs-good-buddy/
And in the time since that juicy little bit of pure innuendo was posted, I have seen zero factual follow-up. And yet here on FFF it has it become an accepted fact, and not just fact, the charge in the “unsigned note” has become embellished to the point that Sellers’ friend is not just ONE of the investigators, he’s now the CHIEF investigator. Sounds pretty tin foil hattish to me.
And then there is the fact that a few on here, yourself included, seem to think that anyone who disagrees with them *on any point whatsoever* is one of the FPD six, or a wife of one, or a member of the DA’s office! Hell, it was just minutes ago that I responded above to your own suggestion that I might be Susan Schroeder!!!, as if Ms. Schroeder has the time to post hundreds of comments all over the web (google my handle) in support of justice for Kelly, consistently referring to his death as a murder. Ridiculous.
Sorry jt, but if the hat fits you gotta wear it. 🙂
I don’t think any conspiracy theory is involved about the Veth Mam case. The DA had the video evidence and the police reports. Unless he has a reading impediment or needs glasses or is simply incompetent there, was no just cause for him to press charges against Mam and the jury flatly told him so with their verdict. As someone who so devoutly supports Tony Rackaucas perhaps you could at least explain this non-tin-foil hat issue for me? If the DA is such a stand up guy, why did he wrongly prosecute Veth Mam when he had in his own possession evidence Mam was not guilty? Why?
Why, EyeNeverSayNo? Please enlighten me. I want to believe you. Heck, I like you! But, the ‘numbers don’t add up.’
Didn’t you read the story from the DA? She said she never watched the video until it was played at trial. She just thought the police reports matched the video. LOL
–Reality Is wrote: “She said she never watched the video until it was played at trial. She just thought the police reports matched the video.”–
Exactly. Occam’s Razor, or the Law of Parsimony, says that when faced with two competing theories that are equal, the truest will most likely be the one that makes the fewest assumptions.
In the Mam case, one theory is that a grand conspiracy was in place involving numerous police officers, DA’s office investigators, as well as a deputy DA herself, who ended up being humiliated when the tape contradicted her.
Another theory says simply that it was a matter of incompetence.
The numbers do indeed add up, and Occam’s Razor tells us that they likely equal a simple human error.
Hum, actually it was me, not Jt, who wondered idly if you were Ms. Schroeder. Yeah, it can get a little hectic trying to keep so many balls in the air at once. It wasn’t a ?suggestion,” but simply mussed. Don’t be so uptight. Here is is in it’s entirety: By the way, I’m curious, EyeNeverSayNo, are you Susan Kang Schroeder? Or perhaps a clerk/secretary in the DA’s office?”
Please not the question mark. It was a simple question, not an accusation.
So, forgive me if my musings seem “ridiculous” to you.
All the best,
Xer
Uh, we would expect them to understand the First Amendment to the constitution. I wouldn’t necessarily expect you to. I just expect them to. Now explain to me again in your peculiarly pedantic fashion how I am such an imbecile for making this assumption why don’t you. I’m sure all the readers of FFFF are dying for some more of your longwinded elocution.
We will see once these tickets make their way through the courts. I agree honks are protected. I don’t agree any and all use of a horn is protected. I hope you all find an attorney to take the case. I’ve written many honk tickets in my time. Never once had an issue. We will see.
Yes…Call all of our friends and family and have them drive by, all at the same time, then lay on their horns.
If everybody does it, FPD will have to send out their entire force, at which time all of us street protesters will march into the police station and take it over. That Penile Unit needs an overhaul.
LOL penile unit. :———->
Yes, that’s just about your speed. MA indeed (snort)!
This is actually my first post on FFFF, but I am an avid reader of the blog, and keep up with what’s going on with this through John & Ken. Like most Fullerton residents, I’m just outraged…and it keeps getting worse…is it too late to join the protest? I’ve hit my limit…and this crap emanating from the FPD thugs is just too much! Ticketing for honking…good lord! There are many of us who watch and support, telling friends and family and spreading the word, keeping this story in the forefront…in fact, a friend of a friend writes for the Fullerton Observer, and just posted on facebook that they can no longer support the FPD…word is spreading, and the message is getting out. Good job FFFF, and God Bless Kelly Thomas and his family.
You hit a home run the first time you stepped up to the plate!
hey rttavi its not too late… the protest is and has been every saturday… this saturdays protest will be fallowed by the concert/food drive… plus other vendors…
God bless you Rttavi for speaking up.
Everyone with one of these kind of tickets should mail in a copy to the website, who can then make a board poster which can be held during a day of protest at the Fullerton Courthouse. Now judges, must take notice of the FPD retaliation for exercising constitutional rights
Promotion:
When the Detectives Commander was made acting police chief, I saw several postings that he was a straight shooter type and no nonsense. Great! I thought, now we can have some semblence of order and peace while awaiting the coroners reports and tox screens.
Then the ticketing of motorists who are horn honkers, by guess who? The police union president and vice-president along with a few other followers.
Where is the new acting police chief in all this? Nary a word! He should be taking the tickets and tearing them up and writing up the two donkeys for fomenting public dismay for the PD.
My guess is that the acting chief simply does not care. He is following orders from the City Manager and Mayor. Very sad indeed that Fullerton residents have to be ticketed by their police union for supporting a demonstration.
Time for you Fullerton residents to wake up and take control of your city away from union goons!
I have had personal dealings with the new Chief of Police, Kevin Hamilton, and also the FPOA’s Vice President, Officer Robert Kirk, and IMHO they are both inept, morally corrupt, and not to be trusted in any manner.
This horseshit SHOULD MAKE GOOD MORNING AMERICA
Local PD accused of MURDERING A CITIZEN.. NOW Abusing Citizens First Amendment rights .. UNION PRESIDENT HANDING OUT INTIMIDATION CERTIFICATES
FBI.. WHERE THE FUCK ARE YOU … you little pussies
LOL you called the FBI pussies. Love it.
This needs to go NATIONAL.. this is Constitutional and this backwater hee haw scum drivel bunch of pricks thinks YOU THE CITIZEN ARE THE PROBLEM
The police officer told the ticket recipient that he did not know what he was referring to when the citizen told him that he was not anti-cop, only anti-murder. The officer added that he was only doing his job.
My older brother taught me in high school not to trust anyone who claimed that they were only doing their job. He taught me to trust people who were building their carreers, leaning on logic, and pertaining to priciples.
My older brother, a 1972 graduate of Fullerton High, is now in his 31st year of his carreer as a medical doctor. Meanwhile, this cop is only doing his job and by his own admission has no clue as to what the citizens he is patrolling are talking about.
Ler us just take everybody at their own word here.
Believe me. They know. You know they know also. Being ordered not to speak about it then gets the reply he knows nothing about a murder.
Hopefully we can send them the videos to their prison cells so they can see REAL HUMANS who know they are ONE OR NONE…
Sad sad sad, police officers are supposed to the ones protesting for
Honesty
Integrity
Justice
but it is US WHO MUST PROTEST AGAINST THEM
Just turn in your badges and beg your children for their empathy
Copy.
you need to get it on film with audio, i believe the mic attachment you would need is called a shotgun mic which is a rather sensitive microphone. Get the audio and video and make it viral on the net. Enough of that on the net and you would definitely see FPD taped off as a crime scene by the feds.
Well, here is some unsolicited advice.
If you are going to protest in Fullerton, then go in a group. Break the group up over an area with each member filming another member. This method will keep everyone under video surveillance.
Another method is to go in a group and have some members detach. The detached members would not take part or otherwise attract attention to themselves. They would do nothing but observe with a camera.
Ultimately, you want to document the number of the police cruiser. Each officer is assigned a vehicle by number. You want that number. If the situation got out of hand, or something serious happens, there will be a record that shows what individual, or individuals, the vehicle was assigned to.
Never, ever, argue with a police officer or lean forward to obtain the badge number. At that point, the officer will look for an excuse to become violent with you. The vehicle number is as good as a badge number. You will be in the same situation as Kelly Thomas. Surrounded by people watching you trying to survive.
Do not play stupid with these people or leave yourself open to victimization. If you believe these people to be corrupt and guilty of murder, what do you think they will do to you when given the chance?
Food for thought. In 1994, Michael D. Schwartz defended one of two LAPD officers accused of shooting at a CHP officer. These two officers were drunk and shooting at targets while they drove. One of the individuals ended up being a CHP officer.
Needless to say, these two police officers were portrayed as really nice guys who did something stupid. They were suspected of shooting at a city bus among other targets. The six police officers involved in this will also be portrayed as wonderful people.
In other words, be careful and use caution at all times.
GOOD ADVICE. FULLERTON NEEDS A FAST CLEANING OF THESE EVIL COPS AND THE POLITICAL MACHINE THAT PROTECTS AND REWARDS THEIR DICTATORSHIP ON THE PUBLIC STREETS.
^^ These cops are already known to murder your residents..
do all you can to not get murdered by them.. notice they send 3 murder vehicles just for one BOGUS TICKET
They think it is fun and funny and hilarious to fuck with you like they did Veth Mam…
THE DA PRESSED CHARGES AGAINST THE WRONG MAN.. FOR THE COPS..
FOR the cops he pressed charges against an innocent man who was actually also brutalized by the cops..
FBI needs to take down the DA for being AGAINST the citizens of California
Someone CLARIFY the record then..
I got in trouble for CLARIFYING IT
I used to say.. Not one prosecution for misconduct in 15 years.. but then people pointed out a case that was tried against the cops and WAS DROPPED.. DA said they were liars and perjurers .. SO.. charge them then.. don’t do that…
Then I changed it to NOT ONE CONVICTION in 15 years.. how many police officers does this guy preside over?
I say it is not one conviction in 15 years.. can anyone please tell me I am wrong
Incompetence yes, grand conspiracy, no.
As for “not one conviction in 15 years,” I don’t know for sure, but that may very well be true.
Convictions against police officers are very hard to get, look what happend in the Rodney King case, it was all caught on tape and they were aquitted by a Simi Valley jury on all charges!
That doesn’t mean the OC DA hasn’t tried. I pointed out the People v. Deputy Hibbs case to you before, here’s another: People v. Officer David Park. Again, the Weekly’s excellent reporter Scott Moxley explains…
—“Orange County juries have a long, pathetic history of siding with cops, even obviously dirty ones. In one infamous case, an Irvine police officer disconnected the GPS unit in the trunk of his patrol car (so that dispatchers couldn’t track his whereabouts), tailed a woman outside of his jurisdiction, pulled her over on false pretenses, then masturbated and ejaculated on the shocked woman’s chest. DNA testing later matched this cop’s sperm with the sticky matter left on the woman, and yet a 2007 OC jury–mostly old, white men–couldn’t bring themselves to find the officer guilty of any crime.”—
Essentially, cases against cops in OC are non-starters. Moxley’s right. In a way I’m actually more surprised that the DA keeps trying.
This is why no one should be so terribly surprised and shocked that the investigation of the Thomas murder is taking so long. If the OC DA is going to get convictions on serious charges he’s going to need a super strong, bullet proof case with the key items of evidence being the video and a favorable to the prosecution autopsy report. Without both the cops will walk and a huge miscarriage of justice will have occurred.
THIS D A HAS TO BE REMOVED AND INVESTIGATED.
— MeYou wrote and Whitey Bulger thought it was notable enough to quote: “DA said they were liars and perjurers .. SO.. charge them then..”—
MeYou makes it sound so easy, eh Whitey?
A cop in his squad car followed a stripper home from Captain Cream in Lake Forest (RIP, that place ruled), lit her up and pulled her over, then jacked off on her boobs, and all this was incontestable, his DNA was in the spunk all over the poor woman’s chest when she made her complaint. And yet an OC jury, mostly made up of old white guys essentially said, “yeah, no problem.”
And MeYou thinks the DA might have had a shot at a perjury conviction in the Hibbs case? LOL Riiiight!!! And if he had taken ’em to court and lost, which he would have, there would be those who would have criticized his office for wasting tax payer funds on an unwinnable case.
Oh and do you guys know much about the law with regard to perjury? It’s one of the most difficult charges to make stick in American jurisprudence. There are so many available ‘outs.’
“I misremembered”
“My statement was an interpretaion of fact”
“My false testimony was unwittingly inaccurate and not deliberate”
“It was my honest but mistaken belief…”
“I never intended to mislead”
“My perjury did was not a part the determination of the legal result”
Etc., etc., etc.,
I would feel better if you could show me at least more than one case he “tried” against his children for misconduct
How about you show me one case that he should have tried against his children and didn’t?
Misconduct is a pretty broad term, but here’s a few cases the OC DA has brought against police officers for a variety of on duty offenses, not including the usual DUIs, etc. I’m sure there are more but these make the point: The OC DA prosecutes bad cops.
People v. Deputy Christopher Hibbs
People v. Officer David Park
People v. Deputy Allan James Waters
People v. Officer Bradley Wagner
People v Officer Mark Trachman
People v. Officer Christopher Nicely
People v. Deputy Scott Allen Cole
People v. Officer Gerald Stenger III
People v. Deputy Phillip Glenn Romero
People v. Deputy William Robb
People v Deputy Travis Christopher Unholz
If you start showing each thing on here that is made up or false, they aren’t going to have anything to whine about anymore. Any person with a brain knows that there have been many more than 0 prosecutions of cops in the OC in the last 15 years.
I know, but dontcha get the feeling that some of these folks truly believe it? It’s kinda sad.
Funny thing is, I want the guys that murdered Thomas to go to prison as much as any of ’em..
Mike Corona is a case at point.
Give us the dates of those cases because for all I know these cases could go back to 1950’s.
Susan Kang, did you bother to do a little research before posting this or maybe you’re just throwing crap up and hope it sticks.

No comment Susan”?
I believe you are confused. I have never said you were Susan Shroeder. If you want to defend yourself against allegations I’ve made about you, they are simple:
1. You side with the DA’s office repeatedly without justification based on his prior record.
2. You assume that everybody who doesn’t agree with you on every point must be an imbecile.
3. Your posts are frequent, redundant, pedantic, uninformative, speculative, opiniated, and catty.
4. You mischaracterize the opinions of those whom you disagree with.
“I have never said you were Susan Shroeder.”
I stand corrected, it was Xer, not you.
As for the rest of your tirade, all I can say is that I’m very sorry you felt you had to lash out in such an embarassing manner.
Last out frequently. Embarrased rarely. 🙂
Keep it civil to me and I’ll do the same if you prefer it that way.
@TNZ – i have no idea we agree on much else, and i don’t care, I just want to give you props for this response to Susan. You read something, it triggered your bullshit detector. Rather than letting it lay, you did your homework (research, links, facts, etc) and you prevented me, and probably others, from drawing the wrong conclusions. What you did should be a required class. “how to prevent bullshit fires”
Does anyone know if any FULLERTON Police officer in the recent past (10 – 15 years) has had CRIMINAL charges filed against him/her by the DA for physically mistreating a suspect or citizen.
Anyone listening to KFI/Bill Carroll now? he is talking about this
yes i am
We need to close the Fullerton PD.
They are killing business here in Fullerton.
Hand it to the Sheriffs until a new FPD can be established.
Yes. Nice job KFI
LOL at the caller who said all the protesters were a bunch of malt liquor drinking cigar smokin losers or something to that effect. Way to disregard the cause buddy. Get off your recliner, grab a sign and join us. Or are you too busy shootin heroin while watching Faux news?
Typical cop or friend/relative of cop -we get those here on the blog too. he sounded drunk.
JUSTICE FOR KELLY and I hate beer or anything that starts with Cig
I love that Bill Carrol said he drove by and honked 🙂 Also that he pointed out that FPD is just making themselves look even worse by harassing protesters.
I <3 Bill Carrol.
Seriously, there are more people who actually live in Fullerton who could give two shits about your protests, Kelly Thomas and everything else related to your “Cause.”
We get it! The investigation is almost done. If there is a case, the DA will file one! Just like he did with Georgie Bushala!
What do we want? For you hippies to get lost!! When do we want it? NOW!!
LMAO
I guess you are an official protester all you car drivers that dont march. Those keystone cops just bought themselves a bunch more protesters
and its not the tickets – it the thought behind it that burns me
Oh boy, J/K are going to “talk about it” too-watch out
FPD needs to be crushed.
What’s the name of the idiot excessive horn use ticket agent?
They guy needs to pulled from the street.
That would be Det. Barry Coffman. President of the Fullerton Police Officers’ Association.
That guy seriously need to put that Detective instinct to some good use and detect what sit ups, crunches, and cardiovascular exercise is for.
I swear I could hear his arteries clogging as he was writing that citation.
LOL Since they are not allowed to do thier job they need something to do? Since they are not out beating up homeless peopke they have a lot of free time……Obviously no one on this site is qualified to run the city, so who are you to say. NOT QUALIFIED and NOT EDUCATED. otherwise you would have that large salary and pension job.
If you are not supposed to honk at the protest don’t FN honk. Many of us don’t agree with the protest and therefore I don’t want to hear you or have you block the streets.
It’s not that hard….
On twitter:
johnandkenshow John and Ken
t-rae here. fullerton police video (tix for “excessive horn use”) here: http://www.kfiam640.com/pages/jk2010.html
Sands-California vehicle code section 27001, which says motorists may only use their horns “when reasonably necessary to insure safe operation” of a vehicle.
You will when your TAXES pay the lawsuits dumbshit
Nice reply.
Sands – sorry dont know the name of the Keystone cop who issued it that would be great to know though
Us taxpayin “hippies” are going anywhere until we know something
arent
I don’t think so… Where are all the homeless people???? Do they protest? They are at the local park sleeping and probably have no idea why you are protesting.
The only one getting paid is Ron Thomas and his attorney. You pay taxes? really.
California vehicle code section 27001, which says motorists may only use their horns “when reasonably necessary to insure safe operation” of a vehicle.
SAVE the Fullerton Cops: “Where are all the homeless people???? Do they protest? They are at the local park sleeping and probably have no idea why you are protesting.”
I’ve seen several homeless protesting right along side of ever kind of human there is with a heart and a sense of right and wrong that is willing to stand up for justice. This isn’t about ‘homeless’, it’s about everyone. A fellow human being was murdered. Can you justify that? No. So STFU.
J&K are announcing a Fullerton “Moment of Noise” in the next hour in honor of the FPD. They’re asking that if you’re in Fullerton, tune in KFI, wait for the moment, and then lay on the horn.
haha, I love these guys, this is for you Kelly!
12 minutes to the “honkoff…”
hahaha
Did you hear it, mj?
I wonder if they can issue a ticket in Fullerton for excessive use of these:
http://txfowlers.com/WILD_HOG_PIG_CALL.asp
yeah, that was great, 5 or 6 minutes of horn blasting in front of the FPD
Those hog callers would be a great addition to the honk for kelly signs at the protests.. I bet that the “complaining neighbors” are frowning on the bullhorn noise too.
I just ordered the Boss Hawg one
ROFL YAY!! for Dave!!!
Damn, I missed it. “Moment of Noise” Great idea!! Let’s schedule one every Saturday.
it should be on the podcast tomorrow check it out, you hear other cars blasting their horns in the background
What’s the “law” on public use of police whistles?
It’s been done before in public protest, many times.
Ironic poignancy if Kelly’s Army sounds off with plastic police whistles on Saturday in protest of his bloody police murder.
I say start blowing whistles. Horns are so yesterday.
Kelly was murdered by a rotten, dangerous gang of creepy, nasty sick bully assholes. This is who we think we’re paying to protect us. We’re not.
No news there.
The murderers are protected by a corrupt wad of political tailpipe suckers.
No news there.
This has happened before.
No news there.
We’re on our own. Seriously. We’re on our own.
No news there, either.
I’ve been to one protest; a couple weeks ago. I honked the bezeezuz out of my horn — twice — coming and going. Twice.
I want to be arrested for honking my horn for Kelly Thomas.
me too, im going to honk the hell out of my horn every wk from now on
I was looking at these http://www.sevendeals.com/p-4195-air-horn-noise-maker-set-of-3.aspx 😀
I’m the guy in the video with the ticket. What you guys don’t see is what happened before the ticket. The officers saw me taping them trying to give other tickets and wrote down my license plate, then waited until i moved my truck and honked only a time or two and pulled me over. So their claim of only ticketing “excessive honking” is a lie. They were trying to bully me for supporting the protest. Here’s the video from before the ticket when they were writing down my plate number:
http://youtu.be/4aPXfgh8KRA
And it doesn’t take that many cop cars to chase someone down for honking too much. It was an act of attempted intimidation.
I witnessed this gentleman get in his truck and drive by the FPD and was pulled over immediately because the officer that took gown his license plate had radioed ahead to the patrol cars that onederas909 was on his way through the intersection.
This guy did a fantastic job of filming his encounter and truly kept his composure throughout.
This citation contradicts what Captain Dan Hughes had stated when I confronted him about why they were being pulled over for honking, because he had told me that they were only giving warnings. When I took onederas909 and his ticket back to the Captain, he backpedaled and went inside for a couple of minutes and came back out to say that he had dismissed onederas909’s citation.
One of the best parts was when all of the protesters did an about face and began chanting and making even MORE noise so that the officers wouldn’t be able to think or radio ahead to issue citations. Power was definitely on the people’s side on Saturday and the cop’s dug their hole even deeper on their own without us handing them a shovel. Simply amazing!
I want the biggest, loudest most annoying horn ever made and will pace in front of the FPD blasting for ‘Justice for Kelly’..
Hey, anyone have a marching band that has some free time?
Get some of those Cymballs or a tambourine
mj, a marching band hanging around in the garage is damn rare, but not unknown.
Nebraska, likely; maybe Michigan and Ohio.
I know you were were joking.
There are plenty of Fullerton students and mucicians ready to go on this.
I incorrectly spelled “musician.”
Gdo Gmadn ti!
Props for taping them. Have you posted the vid of you taping them trying to give out other tickets? I’ve seen the 3 vids starting with this one on youtube, but nothing shows where they were giving them out to others. Maybe I misunderstood you. And they were definitely trying to intimidate you. Obviously it didn’t work. Honk for justice!
I couldn’t actually catch them in the act. every time they saw someone taping they would just wait until they were far enough away that the taping person couldn’t catch up. there are quite a few like that on youtube
you should report that to john and ken with your you tube
i talked to their producers and they had me send them the link and they said they would be in touch
keep on em-they will listen
Maybe we can get These guys to play on the front lawn of the PD :p
I remember when this was released. I bought the 8-track at Gemco in Glendora for $6.47 back in the mid-70s.
It’s still a great song. FPD is messin’ with a son of a bitch.
More cowbell.
Channel 9 New’s Stacy Butler will be doing a story about the excessive honking with on the 10pm broadcast.
If we for a moment can put aside the fact that this was yet one more attempt to bully, intimidate, and harass the public from voicing unfaltering opinions towards the police, and instead only look at the citation from the perspective of job performance, the captain (or whoever gave the order) needs to be fired for incompetence. I actively participated in the protest on Saturday, and it was one of the most uneventful to date. …. up until they pulled this stuff that is. NOW the FPD is back in the news. How could they not not see this coming? I can honestly say that if we had an infiltrator high up in the department, they could not have done any better than whoever was calling the shots that day. The capacity of the Fullerton PD to misjudge the public is mind blowing.
Good memory. I used to have a Gemco card. It was such a big deal to be a ‘member’ back then. Now you have to be a member to buy a stick of gum. sorry for being off topic.
