    1. You guys are doing a fine job….today’s protest was the biggest yet…I think when this is all settled and those PIGS are in prison..The city of Fullerton and the People should concider a permanant Memorial for Kelly possibly a statue! and FUCK those PIG FUCKIN MURDERERS.

      ORION

      1. I am so thrilled to see people stand up for themselves and each other. A young, unarmed man in the Imperial Valley was bludgeoned to death at a traffic stop by a couple of Imperial Police officers. Only his friends and family stood up. He was murdered July 5, 2010. I wish our protests could had looked like yours. FIGHT BACK, FULLERTON.

Flood them with links about this case. Mention the band Lit connection and include links to this blog and videos posted on youtube.

If they can cover octomom, they sure as hell can cover this.

    1. This should not blow over. What happened to Kelly is a symptom of a far bigger problem…the lack of community mental health in place in communities around the country. With that, every police officer should be trained in Crisis Intervention Training and it should be mandatory at the law enforcement academy level. The stigma and attitudes regarding mental illness need to change and the laws need to protect people with mental illness. You would not see someone with a heart condition or diabetes left to rot in the streets to be fair game for a group of thugs. Mental illness is a brain disorder but our society blames those with mental illness for their condition. Look at the brain studies done on this topic.

It is time to demand that our leaders recognize this travesty in the way those with mental illness are treated….and change things before another Kelly is sacrificed. One thing that needs to change is the law’s language that help arrives before they become a danger to themselves or others…not that Kelly was but so many are like Jared Loughner in Tucson. With community mental health services and funding in place, chances are things like this are less likely to happen.

Since law enforcement is “expected” to care for the mentally ill, then give them the education they need! We do not want another Kelly Thomas OR Timothy Souders who was left to die of hypothermia and dehydration in a Michigan prison. For this group of thugs who wear a badge, there is no excuse and they deserve the same treatment they gave Kelly but for the rest who are doing above and beyond what they are asked to do for the public, then seek funding from your senators and state representatives to work collaboratively with the state mental health!

  1. I saw it! You guys are doing a great job, and it was orderly and peaceful. My only wish is that you’d take it next on a weekday during workday hours in front of the Chamber of Commerce.

    1. It was a peaceful assembly. No reason for the cops to even be there. They even stayed on the correct side of the street.

    2. THE PIGS ARE ON THE SIDELINES WAITING FOR THE OK TO CRUSH THE MAGGOTTS WHO ARE THREATENING THEIR MANY DEALS IN THIS CESSPOOL CALLED FULLERTON.

      AWESOME!!!!!!

In the last several years that word has been so burdonsomely overused as to evoke nausea…..

but, I would have to say Tim, in this context it fit like a leadshot-padded black-leather-glove fits a rogue cop’s fist. So, allow me to say it again:

      AWESOME!!!!!! 😎

    1. That’s a big turnout..I didn’t know THAT many people in Fullerton have no lives, go get a job people!!

      1. I have a great job and a wonderful life and I would like to keep it that way. I don’t want it to be ok for a cop to beat the living shit out of me for no good reason, and nothing happens to him. But you go ahead. Have the temerity to video these thugs or to have mental problems. They’ll deal with you accordingly.

      2. Most of those people were from out of town. They don’t have a vote in Fullerton, so they are wasting their time.

      1. Yes, his office is in Santa Ana. Protesting the police is pointless at this point and there is no one in city hall!

        1. Yea, Tim and dmk, you could change the protest day because you know city hall and DA are not in the office on Saturdays. You’ll still have a good turnout because the paid protesters will still be there, right Andrew?

          1. I think its a great idea too… will raise awareness outside of Fullerton as a fringe benefit. DA’s office!

  2. Any estimates on the number who showed up today yet? This seems to be growing, not going away, which is truly a hopeful sign. I would love to see this become a 140,000 person protest (the population of Fullerton).

      1. Granted I did go home for a bit and miss the march, but I personally don’t think the numbers were that high. More did show up when I got back, but I didn’t think it was that high. If I’m wrong, so be it.

      2. Hi Merijoe, nice to know there are some females on this site, at least I think you are….anyway, again I disagree with you, sorry. There was less than 300 there.

      3. by merijoe on August 20, 2011
        i would guess a good 600

Yes, from the edited video, I’d estimate it was more like 500-600. Hard to say though without actually being there–not viable for me at this time.

But if it reaches 100,000 you can bet yer sweet bippy I’ll come there and make it 100,001.

Why isn’t this being covered by the E! Channel?

  3. Hey all you trolls-there i am with my sign a marchin and a chanting- will be there next saturday too-do somethin constructive next satuday, join us.

  4. Ahhh, what a lovely Saturday for Fullertons citizens to exercise their rights in the streets…. It’s a beautiful thing!!!
WTG, Citizens!! Your energy, bravery and persistence is inspiring!

  5. Travis arent u suppose to be at a family bbq this wknd with ur fpd family member? And why the digs on slidebar? Just bcuz bushalas ex wife goes there with her new man?

    1. I don’t know if anything that Not a Travis Fan says has any merit, but this much I do know: the Slidebar is a cop hang-out and the douchebags that own it, work at it and frequent it are fucking scum. That place is a plague in downtown fullerton and there is so much corruption and debauchery (just start with the cocaine and go from there) at that hell-hole that anyone with even a mote of moral resolve should avoid it like the shit-hole it is.

      1. Great idea. Next Saturday I’ll meet all the trolls at the slide bar!! I’ll be at the bar and when all the activists go by we will flip you all off!! See ya then!

  6. That makes me heart just stop. Great job everyone!!! We need to be the voice for Kelly and not let this slip anyone’s mind like those hooligans are hoping for. Great support. Let’s get the numbers higher!!!! Knowledge is power. Everyone, keep spreading the word!!!

  7. I was there & it was an unforgettable experience. I really hope we all continue to do this until we get a answer – hopefully, an honest answer.

  8. I am so sorry that I went home for a bit! This would have been cool to see! For the people who marched in the street, were passing cars pissed at you guys?

    1. No we were in one of them. Passing cars were very patient and understood what this was about. We were prepared to take part in the protest, but when we saw the Anonymous masks we reconsidered. We cannot be associated with that sort of anarchists.

        1. Umm no whenever they are around shit gets set on fire. That’s all. It didn’t happen yesterday, but let the right ones show up and you have riots. No thank you.

          1. And it hasn’t happened at any of the other protests. Yesterday wasn’t the first day those makes were around. Also, were the people in London wearing those masks? LA Riots? I highly doubt people affiliated with Anonymous would show up wearing Guy Fawkes masks. Especially after they attacked FPDs web site. Logic fail.

          2. LOL!!! Reason I asked is because I know if I were late going somewhere and had to go down Harbor to get there, I would have been SO PISSED.

      1. No we were in one of them. Passing cars were very patient and understood what this was about. We were prepared to take part in the protest, but when we saw the Anonymous masks we reconsidered. We cannot be associated with that sort of anarchists.

I wouldn’t dispute anarchists prefer to hide their identies, but they don’t wear Halloween masks. They wear cloth masks over their nose to protect them from teargas. For some odd reason, the anarchists I’ve personally seen also seemed to have a preference for black or dark clothing, Possibly to better blend back in with the crowd? The only way to tell if someone is really an anarchist is to watch their behavior. They try and goad the real protesters to commit acts of violence and property damage. Halloween masks are generally fairly harmless.

    1. I’m a citizen of Fullerton, and I have no problem at all with this, I fully support this. I know plenty other Fullerton residents that feel the same way, as well as other residents in other cities of Orange County.

      1. I’m sure there were a lot of Fullerton Citizen’s there. Doesn’t mean its right. If this continues to grow, something bad will happen, and it won’t be at the hands of the police, as I’m sure many would say it would be.

This will cost the City overtime and it will come out of the Fullerton Citizen’s taxes.

However, I’m sure Anonymous, Merijo, Chris and all of the other misguided children in this blog were there.

Probably best to get rid of the peace shirts. and Anonymous, you really need to get rid of that mask.

        1. Frankly, it’s better than wasting tax money on lavish expenses, pensions, or over paid salary of the city officials and police union crooks.

    2. Allen… Why do think it “sucks”?

I, as a Fullerton citizen, AM PROUD OF MY COMMUNITY (I wish I could say that about Sr. Staff and City Council). They can peacefully protest without resorting to violence or mischief. This is the American way. This is what we were founded on. By the people, for the people.

Would you rather oppress the protests?

      1. @David
You actually make a good point and I believe that there can peaceful protests. I totally agree with you.

But I truly believe that this is a case where a couple of police got out of hand. We don’t have an oppressive government here. Fullerton is a small town with inexperienced Council Members.

These protests are are embarrassing this City and its WORLDWIDE. This is extremely embarrassing David. This is not Syria, not Egypt, not Libya. This is Fullerton California. 99.9% of the cops here are good and enforce the law appropriately.

        1. If it was only a couple police that got out of hand, the other officers had a responsibility to intervene.

The fact that no 911 call has been produced lends to the possibility that Thomas was setup by cops and the Slidebar for a beating. If that’s true, it was premeditated.

If not for the attention from this blog, the media and the protests, this would’ve been swept under the rug a long time ago. Brutality would’ve continued as modus operandi so I’d say that’s oppressive.

If the Chief and city officials handled it correctly, the negative attention wouldn’t be there. They brought it on themselves.

          1. Jeremy Popoff didn’t call 911. Hence no phone call made public.

He called the Non-Emergency Phone Number: (714)738-6800 from his office inside the restaurant.

            Don’t believe me?
Next time you are there talk to either Amy the waitress or Jeremys wife who quit her job at Hot Topic HQ 3 days after Kelly was beaten because she had a big mouth about what happened that night. SHE ratted her husband out the next day at work not knowing the severity of the issue.

I will be back in a couple weeks when this all comes out and every one of my statements is confirmed and you skeptics can kiss my ass.

            This is golden.

        2. Bullshit you moron. Fullerton has 145 cops. Lets do the math (I know you never got past 6th grade, but try.

          The Fullerton 6.

The Watch Commander on July 5th.

The supervisor who let them watch the video and rewrite their reports.

Frank Nguyen (perjury) + another zit who also perjured himself.

The pill-popping credit card thief who works at Theo Lacy.

The two cops who handcuffed women and molested them in the backseat of the patrol car.

The goon who aided and abetted suicide in the Fullerton jail.

          The Miami iPad thief.

That’s 15 right there. And that’s over 10%! Of course these are only the creeps we know about.

So I’ll grant you this: about 89% of Fullerton’s cops haven’t been caught breaking the law! Yet.

          1. Right on Fred. But you forgot the go-on-vacation-now-I’m-stressed-out Sellers.

That’s 16. If you count the Liar Goodwrench your up to 17. Hamilton said it was okay to coach the Fullerton 6. That’s 18.

Then there’s all the others with their mouths shut.

My God! There’s no end to it.

          2. @none, #42. You rock and thanks for the information. This will help the Thomas family. Their atty. should be able to subpoena the phone records for the slidebar and this will help their case against the FPD.

            GREAT POST, Fred

        3. 99.9% are good ? yeah right. Most of them are silent and even colaborating with the cover-ups, falsefied reports so they are just as guilty and not much better.

        4. Allen says: “This is Fullerton California. 99.9% of the cops here are good and enforce the law appropriately.” – BULLSHIT!

Sorry Allen, but your percentage is off by about 17% !!!

There are approx. 140 sworn officers at FPD, according to the officer I just spoke answering the phone.

Just from the Kelly Thomas case and the Veth Mam case, we have ~10 officers (that we know of). Now, add the watch commanders, Sergeants, Lieutenants and Captains involved in these 2 cases; plus add the lying scumbags: Sellers, Hamilton, and spokeshole Goodyear Blimp and we now have ~ 20 corrupt piggys total! And, that’s just from these two cases!

But wait, there’s more! … we have a couple of sexual assault cases (2 officers each counting partners that did nothing) and a one theft case that has also come to light.

Now we’re up to ~25! … and that’s just what we know of so far!

          Easy math: 25/140= 17.8 percent!

I would say with much confidence that about 20% of the FPD is just the opposite of what you believe.

They are BAD and DO NOT enforce the law appropriately!

        5. This is not embarrassing in anyone’s eyes, I’m across the country and I’m proud of Fullerton for stepping up. Even 1 corrupt cop getting away with murder is too much and worth a protest.

          1. Across the country, huh? What neighborhood? What are YOU doing to commemorate 911? Isn’t your city busy with all of that. I think, if YOU truly are, across the country, then you truly have better things to do.

“But I truly believe that this is a case where a couple of police got out of hand. We don’t have an oppressive government here. Fullerton is a small town with inexperienced Council Members.”

(Oh! Well, of course that justifies all the lies, obfuscation, and procrastination. Silly us.)

“These protests are are embarrassing this City and its WORLDWIDE. This is extremely embarrassing David. ”

(You were spot on the money about Fullerton being embarrassing worldwide, but your logic becomes corrupted when you blame the protesters. The heinous crime committed by six Fullerton police–at least two directly guilty of murder–and four accomplices, against a weak unarmed homeless man, and subsequent coverup by higher FPD officers, Chief Sellers, the Fullerton City Council, and Orange County DA, Tony Rackauckas, are of much more interest to worldwide viewers than a few hundred colorfully dressed protesters marching in the street. Over the last several months the entire world has been witness to tens of thousands protesting in Middle Eastern Streets. A few hundred in Fullerton are otherwise boring. Everyone expected such bloody barbarism from Mubarak, Muammar Gadhafy [may Allah have mercy on his soul], and Assad, but the whole world believes America stands for Freedom and Justice. This is a test for the City of Fullerton, and State of California, in front of the whole world. Are Fullerton and California going to humiliate the United States of America? THAT, Allen, that is what people around the world are watching and waiting to see. If Fullerton continues with the coverup and oppression of the TRUTH as you seem (from all of your posts that I’ve read would indicate), then yes, America will be humiliated before the whole world, just by the FPD, City Council and OC DA, NOT by the protesters!

Makes you proud of your stance now, doesn’t it?

This is not Syria, not Egypt, not Libya. This is Fullerton California. 99.9% of the cops here are good and enforce the law appropriately.

A pity, Allen, you weren’t present to explain the distinction to Kelly before he was bashed into a coma. Surely he would have heartily agreed with your astute observation.

        7. So @alien .. How long have you A) been a cop or B) worked in law enforcement? Because only an officer or someone affiliated with the PD would write that reply. Just sayin.. Now come on and tell the truth. Wait.. Do officers know how to do that?

        8. @Allen, It is not only embarrassing, but it is also horrifying, infuriating, nauseating and absolutely intolerable that we have “public servants” in Fullerton who have maliciously abused their powers and brought so much grief and shame to Fullerton. They have abused, injured and murdered our citizens, and corrupted and destroyed the good name of our city.

The citizens of Fullerton can reclaim their good name and honor by making sure that all those who are responsible for bringing this horror upon Kelly Thomas, and upon Fullerton, are removed from their positions of trust and that they are punished to the full extent of the law.

We will restore honor to our city by rooting out the evil and corruption. Ultimately, it is the citizens of Fullerton, who are responsible for what happens in Fullerton. If we do nothing, and say nothing, we are just as guilty as if we had beaten Kelly Thomas to death ourselves.

We will not be silent, and by that silence, condone Kelly’s murder. We WILL keep demanding to know the truth, we WILL keep demanding justice for Kelly, and we WILL replace the “public servants” in office and within the FPD who have dishonored and shamed Fullerton.

We can begin to restore the good name of Fullerton by speaking out for Kelly Thomas, and for others like him. Fullerton citizens are finally waking up and becoming aware of the endemic culture of corruption and police brutality and code of silence. We must find the truth and we must expose it, no matter how embarrassing it is.

We can begin to restore our good name by letting the world know that we are repulsed and sickened by what has happened to Kelly Thomas and others. The citizens of Fullerton are outraged by police brutality and corruption and we will restore our good name, with, or without, your help.

The ones who should feel the most shame or embarrassment, due to the bright light that is being focused on Kelly’s murder- are those who are guilty, or who have something to hide. The rest of us also feel shame for the current state of affairs in Fullerton; however, we also feel compelled by honor and duty to speak out for Kelly Thomas who can no longer speak for himself. We feel compelled by honor and duty to speak out for life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. And, we feel compelled by honor and duty to speak out for truth, and justice.

We’ll put aside our own embarrassment for right now and just try to do what’s right. It’s the least we can do for Kelly, as well as for ourselves and for our children and grandchildren.

        9. Embarrassing the city that has managed to bury ITSELF in a hole? Embarrass a city that SHAMED all of its citizens and caused most of its residents to not believe a damn word that any official says? Embarrass a city that has thugs patrolling the streets NOT to protect the community, but to treat it as a third world country like some of the ones you stated and beat someone to DEATH that didn’t stand a chance to one let alone 6 “police officers” on their best day…. Embarrass? I think they have done that all on their own. We as a community are standing up for what it right, and if it gains some WORLDWIDE attention, that’s GREAT! Embarrassed should be the cowards that began this cycle of violence to begin with.

    3. You mean the part about wanting to expose city councilman as putting union interests (even if a man’s unjustified death is involved) before the citizens? Yeah, I agree that sucks for the citizens of Fullerton and I appreciate the compliment. BTW, neither Tony nor I deserve any credit for these protests. They would be occurring with or without Fullertons Future. A young man named Andrew deserves the majority of the credit for the protests.

We have collapsing infrastructure, a pilfered tax base as a result of redevelopment boondoggles, too may city employees, an unbalanced budget, collapsing reserves and the reputation of Skid Row thanks to our lack of leadership. Yet you’re concerned about 5 protests. You should just go sit in your hole until we get this ship righted.

  9. YOU PEOPLE WILL GET TIRED AND STOP SHOWING UP. THE BOSSES KNOW THIS, THEY WILL OUT WAIT YOU AND LAUGH AWAY ON THEIR GENEROUS PENSIONS.

  10. who are you talking about when you claim “the bosses know this and will wait us out”? the taxpayers are the bosses-we make the rules

  11. Allen :

    Once again your sick
    no heart
    no humanity
    no love for freedom

paralegal ass comes back to convince citizens just take it .. are you the clown that blew up yesterday and showed us all your love for the authority banging on some bums?

I couldn’t imagine you standing up for anything or fighting for anything if all you do is put down these fine citizens who ARE REPRESENTED by that criminal city council… and who wish to stand up to the behavior of the PROTECTORS OF THE PEACE…

During one of the last meetings someone mentioned how the bums voted in some housing development for a crony without even actually asking the public.. CHACHING

Remember.. when they are found guilty.. It took them 3 weeks to be removed from the streets…

Just wait until video starts surfacing and witness testimony comes out from doctors and ambulance drivers and bus drivers who watched it and dispatchers who .. hopefully could control the cameras? I wonder if any of their patrol cars caught it ..

If the tape is no big deal then why hide it
    911 call
    how about..
DID ANYONE CALL 911 ON THE COPS during the beating?

Why isn’t the video leaked out yet..

    1. Ambulance driver is the biggest insult there is for EMTs and Paramedics.

Your city WOULDN’T BE WORLDWIDE NEWS .. if it wasn’t run by criminals and thieves.

^^ Why is that so hard to understand.. honestly.. whose side are you on?

    1. Inexperienced Council Members? Really? Jones and Bankhead have something like 30 years between them. Bankhead was a career cop and Captain and McKinley was the Chief of Police for 15 years. They’re not inexperienced, they are bad leaders and they are elected bad leaders that have put the weight of their titles and names in front of at least one cop who took a life without justification who is sitting by his pool sipping cocktails while he brings in at least $10K a month. All the while, it’s been 45 days since this happened and we have received essentially zero word about where this investigation stands. You really think our founding fathers would be advising us to keep our mouths shut?

  13. Ah, Damn! thats what I get for posting to a troll directly, I prematurely welcomed one back to the human race and was let down! Never again! Unintended insult..

    1. Once again, Free Spirits in His Ass shows his full support of murder and killing of innocent peaceful people.

  15. what everyone seems to be forgetting is the bad cops between the police chief and the dirty half dozen. there are captains that promote this type of police brutality in the fullerton police department. i see one at every meeting and now he is doing pr work at the protests. you have taught them well captain.

    1. Richard

Are you saying that Captain Hughes personally promotes police brutality?

Substantiate that for is if you can please.

  16. At least it is not illegal to feed the homeless in Fullerton, CA like the Mayor and DA’s Office in ORLANDO, Florida think it is. Though according to the DA’s Office of Tony Rackauckas it is okay to beat a homeless man to death and NOT be charged with murder – coming up on 2 months now.

  17. We’ll be there every Saturday. Justice will be served. As for your comment “the bosses know this, they will out wait you and laugh away on their generous pensions”, send the “bosses” a message.. these have been peaceful protests, can’t promise they will remain peaceful if the killers and conspirators remain free… there is more than one way that Justice may be served, up to you which way you want it to go down.

    1. I can’t stand it that people are advocating and threatening violence for this. Go away. You forget that this is a conservative city with NRA members. Oh, justice will be served if you enter their homes!

      1. Right. You hate violence so much, except when it is the brutal murder of a homeless guy by cops. Then you love violence, and get all bitchy at the people who protest it.

        1. Huh? No, I don’t love violence, but I do believe that people need to wake up and realize that if they start something in this city, people WILL fight back. It’s horrendous that Kelly died, and two wrongs don’t make a right.

  18. Beautiful. Absolutely beautiful. This pursuit of public justice is all because of the FFFF, God bless ’em!

  19. Holy Makrel, I read a post that insists the fpd is 99.9% good, if that is accurate, out of a 147 member police farce that means only one is conflicted less that half of the time. I’m going to go let a gajillion people know…..

  20. Im convinced Allen or ,whatever that troll’s name is today, is one of the dirty players of Fullerton, thats why It/He/She is so insistant about the protest being devastating/embarrassing to the people of Fullerton-I think what is meant is, its devastating/embarrassing to him/her/it as it means no more bribes or freebies from the butt buddies
Dont let any theivin, crooked, side-winder steal or have you 2nd guessing the good you are doing for Kelly, Kelly’s family and the community and take away that feeling of pride for fighting against low life blood sucking greedy mobsters who would stoop to any means, even murder, if it meant keeping the liningof their poickets full, like were in the city of Bell
    Whoops, just outed you trolls

      1. Troll (Internet)

        From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

        DEFINITION OF TROLL:

For the Wikimedia essay, see “What is a troll?”.

The “trollface” sometimes used to indicate trolling.
In Internet slang, a troll is someone who posts inflammatory, extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community, such as an online discussion forum, chat room, or blog, with the primary intent of provoking readers into an emotional response or of otherwise disrupting normal on-topic discussion.
The noun troll may refer to the provocative message itself, as in: “That was an excellent troll you posted”.
While the word troll and its associated verb trolling are associated with Internet discourse, media attention in recent years has made such labels subjective, with trolling describing intentionally provocative actions outside of an online context. For example, mass media uses troll to describe “a person who defaces Internet tribute sites with the aim of causing grief to families.”

        1. Oh you mean like when the names of officers and their address were posted on this site? So I could troll to the informant, Tony, Travis, etc.

Since you said in your example “….the aim of causing grief to families.”

Thanks for the clarification. I just thought it was part of your dungeons and dragons world.

          1. just quoting a definition-from wiki cause you claim you didnt know what that meant and accused us of making up the term “troll” Do what you want

  21. Note that there is usually only one single Fullerton cop assigned to shepard the entire protest crowd of around 1000 people. His name is Captain Dan Hughes and IMHO a tremendous asset to Fullerton.

    1. Exactly. I’ve only seen him, that’s ONE cop, out of the many they have, answering questions the public has and talking to protesters.

      1. This is exactly what embodies this protest is that all it takes is one good cop to watch over 1000 peaceful protesters. Note that this Captain lives and volunteers within our community which is telling in itself. I would hazard to guess that of the six police officers who callously and cowardly murdered Kelly, that all, or most of them, do not live in Fullerton and thus have nothing vested in our town and couldn’t care less about how their actions affect OUR community.

        1. A 1000 my ___!

I still say this is only for the benefit of Dad Thomas and his money grubbing family. Sorry, this does not mean his siblings, I reslly don’t know anything about them, just Cathy and Dad Thomas who are only doing this for the money. If they cared about the homeless, why didn’t they start with their son. Just money grubbers!!!

          1. All are welcome to come out to the protests and count the humanity for yourself.
Your statement about “reslly” (it’s really”) not knowing the Thomas family right after you condemned them speaks volumes of your own character.

  22. GREAT JOB FULLERTON CITIZENS! I watched this video from another city in another country – I hope that your protests, hopefully leading to multiple arrests, will make one cop, somewhere in the world, think twice before delivering that fatal blow to someone’s skull.

Marie: I am not a Fullertonian, not even a Californian, but as an American I appreciate your constructive comment and interest in our American brand of Democracy. Please tell all your friends and family about Kelly Thomas and what the people in Fullerton are trying to accomplish. Democracy is not dead in America….. yet.

So I’ll grant you this: about 89% of Fullerton’s

DON’T FOREGT OFFICER REN WHO WAS JUST CHARGED WITH KIDNAPPING AND ASSAULT ON A MINOR, BUT PLED DOWN TO MISDEMEANOR ILLEGAL DETENTION AND ASSAULT, SO HE CAN KEEP HIS JOB. HE IS ON 3 OR 5 YEAR CRIMINAL PROBATION AND JUST ASSIGNED TO GANG UNIT. SO DO’T FORGET THE POS!

    1. This Officer Ren.. He has gotten in so much trouble and always comes out smelling like roses. Lets call him the “Teflon Man”. nothing sticks!! He keeps getting promoted and flourishing.

  24. Allen :</strong These protests are are embarrassing this City and its WORLDWIDE. This is extremely embarrassing David. This is not Syria, not Egypt, not Libya. This is Fullerton California. 99.9% of the cops here are good and enforce the law appropriately.

    BULLSHIT!

Sorry Allen, but your percentage is off by about 17% !!!

There are approx. 140 sworn officers at FPD, according to the officer I just spoke to answering the phones.

Now we’re up to 25! … and that’s just what we know of so far!

    Easy math: 25/140= 17.8 percent!

I would say with much confidence that about 20% of the FPD is just the opposite of what you believe.

They are BAD and DO NOT enforce the law appropriately!

      1. the state should get rid of fullerton’s corrupt police dept. and have the o.c. sheriffs take over

      2. M GENANCO on August 20, 2011
The national gaurd may need to replace these animals.

Requires a request from the Governor, who has been conspicuously absent from dealing with this issue. Why does the Governor not send the CBI to Orange County and ‘Investigate’ (it’s part of the CBI’s name after all) the OC District Attorney based on his record of corruption?

    1. Everyone is tired from marching today. No good comments, just peddling the same stuff day after day, boring….

      1. THE BOSSES KNOW DAMN WELL THAT MOST PEOPLE WILL DRIFT AWAY. THE FEW THAT REMAIN ACTIVE WITH THE KELLY TRAGEDY WILL BE DEALT WITH UNTIL THERE ARE NONE. SAD BUT THAT’S WHY THEY ARE DRAGGING OUT THE PROCEDURE.

          1. IM SO SICK OF ALL OF YOU ASSUMING THAT WE ARE ALL COPS, OR WE MUST BE A MAN.

Sorry to disappoint you but women have opinions too and we do not have to have law enforcement ties to know the LOGICAL and NOT EMOTIONAL choice is TO WAIT FOR ALL THE EVIDENCE!!! It doesn’t take a man to realize this basic simple truth.

          2. quote “IM SO SICK OF ALL OF YOU ASSUMING THAT WE ARE ALL COPS, OR WE MUST BE A MAN.

            ^
so your married to some delinquent Fullerton Cop? Which little piggy is it?

      2. Did you see this comment?
        WOW!

none :Jeremy Popoff didn’t call 911. Hence no phone call made public.
He called the Non-Emergency Phone Number: (714)738-6800 from his office inside the restaurant.
Don’t believe me?Next time you are there talk to either Amy the waitress or Jeremys wife who quit her job at Hot Topic HQ 3 days after Kelly was beaten because she had a big mouth about what happened that night. SHE ratted her husband out the next day at work not knowing the severity of the issue.
I will be back in a couple weeks when this all comes out and every one of my statements is confirmed and you skeptics can kiss my ass.
        This is golden.

        1. So how hard would be to:
          1. put this information on a flyer
          2. walk around slidebar every night and give the flyer to the patrons
          3. put the flyers on every car windshield in that parking lot
          4. watch Slidebar’s business slowly disintegrate

        2. Jeremy Popoff: What a classy name. If you ever happen to read this Your a piece of shit! You cant hide behind your asshole cop friends forever. Justice will be served or maybe you’ll just OD off coke and call it even. Asshole

      3. “No good comments, just peddling the same stuff day after day, boring….”

        …no, sometimes you’re slightly amusing.

  25. M GENANCO :THE BOSSES KNOW DAMN WELL THAT MOST PEOPLE WILL DRIFT AWAY. THE FEW THAT REMAIN ACTIVE WITH THE KELLY TRAGEDY WILL BE DEALT WITH UNTIL THERE ARE NONE. SAD BUT THAT’S WHY THEY ARE DRAGGING OUT THE PROCEDURE.

Again they are not dragging it out. They are waiting for the Scientific proof which will TRUMP what all of you think happened.

    1. But I thought you were objective and hadn’t made up your mind yet? How do you know the result of the “investigation” will trump our conclusions? And do you honestly believe that a DA who needs police union endorsements and police as witnesses in every single case he handles will be objective?

  26. merijoe :laughing out loud

Sorry Merijoe, what’s so funny? Glad you got some coffee to wake yourself up. I thought this whole Kelly tragedy woould keep you mentally engaged.

      1. You live in a backward world when you LOL @ people who believe in human rights and defend those who deprived someone of them.

  27. M jo: tell that to Sharon Quirk-Silva who demanded the names and addresses of the officers be released before she had any of the details of the incident. What happened to her pledge to protect the City? She is a bad exapmle of what a Councilperson should be. Let’s release her address and the names of her kids and where they go to school and what time they leave every morning. Yeah, a different story huh?

  28. whatever outraged, whatever – talk to the hand with your “wait until the scientific evidence is released” we might find he actually died from that brain eating amoeba after all

And Jaynbond, not really sure what you mean-I didnt think Quick-Silver wanted to release
any of the Gestapo’s info, anyway, you do know the addresses and phone numbers of these murders can be found on a public Google search, right? I believe the names of the beaters were found out by process of elimination from who was on duty that night, but not sure-in any case that is also public accessible info

    1. Almost everyone of Merijoe’s comments have made me LOL just because they are so truthful. I have never met you Merijoe but I truly like your spirit.

  29. It is very nice that no group has tried to take over the protest to further other unrelated agendas, with the exception of Wiley Drake today. Drake spoke well at the last council meeting, relating that he had heard from many of the homeless people served by his church that Fullerton was not a comfortable place for them. Unfortunately, he turned up today with bullhorn in hand spewing his idiotic Christian Nation theories as if the subject had anything to do with seeking justice for Kelly Thomas. Fortunately, he jaywalked away after being told how stupid and inappropriate his ravings were in the context of the protest (or any other time and place).

  30. I have not heard about the Jeremy Popoff connection. Does anyone know more about this and why he called the police?

  31. Merijoe, since I have no idea what happened that night, please tell all of us exactly what you think happened. I very interested.

    1. oh, are you talking about the face beaten to a pulp photos or the videos of witnesses I heard who said that he was beaten and killed by the coppers?
Ive never been to prison but I dont need to “be there” – Im pretty sure its a baaaad place based on witness testimony

  32. merijoe :whatever outraged, whatever – talk to the hand with your “wait until the scientific evidence is released” we might find he actually died from that brain eating amoeba after all

Again laughing out loud. You must be a comedian. But, I don’t feel this situation calls for comedy. It’s truly a tragedy.

    Tragedy that Kelly was homeless.

Tragedy that Kelly was off his meds.

Tragedy that Ron and Kathy didn’t care to help him.

    Tragedy that Kelly resisted.

    Tragedy that Kelly passed away.

    1. as i said multiple times-LOL at YOU and your ridiculously insane comments-do you understand or am i typing in chinese?

    2. its a tragedy that right-wing sluts like you troll boards where people actually are trying to share information to help us figure out how to fight back against a corrupt police department who crossed the line into murder.

what the hell are you doing here on a Saturday night. Shouldn’t you be at Slide bar helping pop off Mr. Jeremy?

      1. Anonymous, I like most of your post but I beg you not to make this into a right v left thing. There are many on all sides that hate police brutality and have showed up to protest. Making it right v left pits people against each other and has a very polarizing “divide and conquer” type effect.

Oh and LOL at the popping off Mr. Jeremy comment!

    3. Tradgedy number three has been shown to be bullshit. You also forgot the crime between tragedies four and five.

  33. I heard one of Jeremy’s employees saw Kelly Thomas trying to get into several cars in the parking lot and they went inside and told Jeremy.

    1. “I made up the story that one of Jeremy’s employees saw Kelly Thomas trying to get into several cars in the parking lot and they went inside and told Jeremy.”

      Fixed that for you.

  34. merijoe :whatever outraged, whatever – talk to the hand with your “wait until the scientific evidence is released” we might find he actually died from that brain eating amoeba after all

Sharon Silva did not know that their info was public at the time she demanded their names be released. If any of the officers are hurt or injured or worse she will be directly responsible for inciting action against them. What a lawsuit.

    1. whether she knew or not, does not change the fact that their addresses and phone # were on a public accessible google site -Im not a fan of hers but the truth is the truth- she is not responsible for anything

  35. john doe :Lets see who is the dummy at the end…”YOU”.

We will just have to wait and see, huh? There’s nothing we can do except rant on this blog until then…

    1. That’s probably gonna happen anyway once the word spreads around.

Let’s keep encouraging anyone that has information or video from that night to get it to Thomas’s attorney.

Someone breaking into cars? Why was there NO reports or calls from these people?

The Slidebar protest are in the works.

“I don’t want to say that it was justified, what happened. But man we …. were always having to kick him out of our bathrooms or tell him to leave customers alone.”

-Jeremy Popoff, owner of the Slidebar)]

        1. IS IT MORE THAN LIKELY THAT JEREMY POPOFF CALLED IN A FALSE COMPLAINT AND LIED TO THE POLICE IN ORDER TO HAVE KELLY THOMAS REMOVED FROM THE PARKING LOT.

  36. outraged :

  38. “Tragedy that Kelly passed away”

He was beaten into a coma and when the machines were turned off he died… Passed away? he was beaten to death, passed away is what my gramma did at 75 in the night, we got a call the next morning and had a funeral, kelly was on life support for 5 days and was brain dead and his automatic synapsys were to messed up from a beating to keep him alive…. Passed away…. you are a POS… peddle your lies somwhere else… a jury will hear the audio, see the pics and visit the grave of a guy BEATEN TO DEATH…. you are pathetic, passed away… please.

  39. the not emotional choice??? an innocent man was murdered and emotions are not to ensue?? well then, maybe the FPD should have held on to their own emotions, not beat the crap out of Kelly, and the next day go to the bank to cash their big checks.

  40. Beaten to death by police sound so… well icky… passed away is so nice… Kelly just passed away… screaming i’m sorry and crying for his dad is just icky…. passed away… ahhhhh

    1. he passed away in a “confrontation” because he got in a “fight” “with” the police as stated by rusty Kennedy of the OC human relations commission and the OC Register

  41. no one has yet ever uttered this word..and it is a disturbing one, but I fear EVIL lurks within those who killed Kelly. Evil, we all were taught growing up, was the domain of the “boogie man” and the “devil.” I think that horrible trait lives in some of the FPD 6 and it is scary.

    1. Yes, they are sociopaths. Even most criminals in prison are not sociopaths – they hold empathy for others. These scumbags don’t, and their supporters make that point plain as day.

This is what I say to you and you should rationalize….
Simple basic truth…Kelly would still be alive if not beaten to death by the FPD6 that night….FACT NUMBER 1. So what evidence is more evident…..how much time the turtles need to gather evidence??? Just think? What if you were the one beaten that night, would you need help????/

  43. we are all helping Kelly, and equally helping ourselves, by standing up for what is right. I never met Kelly, but injustice to one is a cancer that left unchecked will damage thousands-I would say ask the Mayor Dick Jones since he is a doctor, but hey he doesn’t know how Kelly died!! Dick Jones is a cancer.

  44. “Tragedy that Ron and Kathy didn’t care to help him.

    Tragedy that Kelly resisted.

    Tragedy that Kelly passed away.”

    really, outraged? really?
Resisted? how does a person who’s unconcious “resist”

“passed away”? you souless jackal-he had the life beaten out of him-he had plenty of life left in him until it was taken

“Ron and Kathy didnt help him”-how the hell do you know that Miss Cleo?

  45. Change of pace…let’s not even focus on Kelly for one second-the FPD is an equal opportunity abuser of civil rights. All of us could potentially be the next victim. Im sure the FPD would have no problem beating another homeless man, a minority, a white, or even their own family as long as they don’t get caught and they still get the fat pay check.

THANKS TO ALL FOR KEEPING THIS FIGHT ALIVE!

    1. Here’s another one:

      Loren P.
      Los Angeles, CA
1 star – 8/20/2011 I was down there two Saturdays ago, was at a nearby protest and needed a drink and to use the restroom. Thought it seemed like a place that could fit the bill.

While making my way to the bathroom I overheard who sounded like the owner talking about the Kelly Thomas Incident.

Apparently this place who called in a false police report of car burglary in order for the cops to come down and clear away the homeless. “Cause they’re always in here using the restroom”

Resulting in cops beating to death an innocent man. Slidebar didn’t lay a hand on anyone, but they initiated the contact by calling in a false report.

Something that is apparently their status quo, using the police to scare off customers they decided aren’t there crowd.

And something that from what I overheard they are not sorry for, but rather thought it was enviable because of ‘those people’. I was so discussed at what I heard that I walked out without getting that drink.

Screw this place, they have blood on their hands. Lots of choices out there, this should be last on your list!

      1. FALSE REPORT THAT’S WHAT I BELIEVE ALSO. THOSE BASTARDS DESERVE TO BE INVESTIGATED BUT THEY WONT. THE RESTAURANT PAYS OFF THE CORRUPT GESTAPO POLICE FORCE.

  47. What I think is evil is this group of people who have tried and convicted six police officers without any proof. Who do you think you are? You say if the DA doesn’t do the right thing you will protest in front of his office. Do you really mean the right thing or do you mean WHAT YOU WANT? Because those are two different things. Now you think you are so important that you can close down a local business? You guys are really full of yourselves. Hey, have you heard there is a whole town for sale in South Dakota for for less than a million dollars. It’s called Scenic, look it up. You should purchase it and you can all move there and make up whatever rules you want. First one would be “Put to death anyone WE THINK may have murdered another person” No proof or trial needed.

    1. hey, I heart cops, you sound like that short chick I saw doing a rail in the men’s room of the slidebar. I think you used to be hot at one time, but man you really let yourself go…eww

  48. who really cares…. fullerton is a shit hole….. u want to live in NICE place, go to irvine, newport coast, coto de caza, nellie gale… u won’t see nasty stinky homless people….cuz those cops get rid of them and thanks to fullerton allowing them to stay at the armory from 6pm til 6am. they have day to roam around fullerton.dig in trash, drink liquor, pee & poop everywhere, beg 4 money, lay on the sidewalk and sun themselves…for all the bleeding hearts…go help the homeless, give them some money, take them to ur house and let them get some rest, cook them some good food…….like that will ever happen…..no one gave a shit about some dirty crazy homeless guy, even the parents had to get a restraining order on him, they did not want to deal with him… so now u want justice…. then get justice and help some homeless people..los angeles has a bunch, maybe we can get them to re-locate to fullerton….

      1. If you are gonna graduate from college what makes you think people want to be cops..give me a break. Do something rewarding. People hate copes, they can never do anything right. According to the dip shits in this blog. They will never please no one. Its a hard job with very little rewards..You see it here.

      1. Fullerton citizen..Are you mad cause you cant be a cop?. To bad cry baby. The way you write, you are to stupid to be one.

        1. @john doe >spoken like a true cop why would you even think i would be a cop i leave that to your GED education.police are getting busted all over the USA and thank God for that .lets face it the whole FPD is in the cesspool what a shame Cry baby think not unlike you i want the American constitution upheld and not having police killing people because they don’t like the way they look etc..it is to bad that all the cops are taking the heat for a few but than again they caused there own situation by staying silent. We need to do better than giving any one with a high school education or a GED police law enforcement duty’s.It is not working any were in the USA.We need homeland security for our own law enforcement!.

      What a great idea!

Why not take the $30,000+ raise Felz wants and build public restrooms in downtown Fullerton? Then the homeless would have a place to,” pee & poop,” and you would have a place to scribble your brilliant ‘philosophy’ on the walls. Great idea FP, you rock!

  49. Good reading. Good posts. Pros and cons. The info about the call and the other info is false. I was there and that will all be shown to be made up and solely a blatant attempt to involve the slide bar for some reason. So be it. I’ll be there Saturday just to them through this Bs.

The other thing is I think you activists will get what you want. Here is why. No one is going to want anything to do with the present or the future of Fullerton. There is no reason to be. That’s from the standpoint of a mayor, council, city manager, city attorney, chief, police, or any other employee. So you will see that slowly all the council will resign, and all the other employees will transfer out to other cities. This probably sounds like what you want, but in 5 years you will see what you will end up with. You won’t like it and you will be doing this all over again. Good luck. Fullerton is a place that only the people that can’t get hired elsewhere will go to. I’m just glad I work there and don’t live there. The future will not be bright for Fullerton even though the activists think it will be.

  50. I would love to move there if I had a 200k pension like McKinley or inflated salaries like the FPD-but I don’t get paid to beat up people. No proof???? We are full of ourselves because a man was killed by the FPD and somebody needs answers. Proof is there, evil still lurks.

  51. @162, u r right. people do not want stinky dirty crazy homeless people around so they call the police to get rid of them. i personally would not support any kind of proptests to any local businesses… people r just trying to make a living and have a nice place for people to eat, drink, shop or whatever. no one wants to sit and hang out out with homless… we call police to get rid of them

@163 stacy…..bring some homeless people to ur home if u care so much about them…o wait let me guess, u don’t care quite that much..

    1. I sure hope not. Last thing Fullerton needs is more homeless hanging around wanting free handouts. Or maybe with all the eventual turnover you all should just make Fullerton one big homeless camp? Great idea.

      1. Gotta say, you must be in PR. Making a hell of a case for moral integrity by blaming the homeless for “handouts” when you are nothing more or less than a well-paid employeen of ours. If indeed, you really think you are gaining our sympathy with this argument, you are more deluded than I initially thought possible. Every word you say just makes us want to see an FPD where people with your mindset could never get or keep a job, no matter what your “arrest quota” is.

Of course this may all be moot since you might just be a really effective troll with no higher motivation.

      2. Isn’t that what the Fullerton Six are getting right now – free handouts aka paid admin leave? You’re too smart to respond about “innocent until proven guilty” right? Because as you most assuredly know that standard is reserved for criminal trials – not administrative actions or public opinion.

          1. If you really are one of the six, I’d like to get your side of the story. I am quite serious here. Check back through the previous posts and you’ll see that I’ve done some articles online for this for a Web site and damn am I getting hits for this. If you want to talk about it, contact me. I know that’s vague, but if you want to get your story out, you can find me. (Sorry Tony and Travis to be soliciting on here, but this is a golden opportunity if he’s telling the truth.)

          2. One more thing. Contact me ONLINE. And for those who would be so stupid as to do anything else, I’m a gun owner and I don’t miss……

  52. Lets just hire the next wave of FPD to beat the crap out of them then; then give them their checks and they can go eat at the Slidebar

  53. FREE HANDOUTS..FREE HANDOUTS..FREE HANDOUTS..

THAT IS WHAT IS GOING ON WITH THE EXCESSIVE PAYMENTS TO ALL OF THE FPD, AND THE THREE BLIND MICE, ESPECIALLY MCKINLEY!!!

  54. slide bar to give donations…..why???? let all these people who sit and hold signs in front of the police department donate some money to the homeless…..
@172…. great idea. since all these fullerton residents are soooo concerned then re-locate the homeless to fullerton and they can all hang out together….better yet since the thomas family is looking for a large payout, have them pay to help the homeless in the name of their “beloved” son…yes the stinky, dirty, crazy homeless guy that they are so heartbroken over…so heartbroken they had him restrained from their home and person…..

    1. @fullerton people, you really are a vile, evil sociopath. If all the FPD officers feel the same way that you do about the “…stinky, dirty, crazy homeless guy that they are so heartbroken over…” then we know that we really do have a huge problem on our hands. Turn in your badge; you have no business at all working with the public. With your attitude and lack of empathy and compassion, you are a danger and a menace to everyone in your path. You are a much greater threat to public safety than all of the homeless, mentally ill people combined. Once we finally get rid of the sociopathic “peace officers,” we’ll all be much safer.

  55. GOOD NIGHT TO ALL-I WILL SLEEP WELL TONIGHT KNOWING WE ARE DOING THE RIGHT THING. I WILL ALSO WAKE UP AND NOT SPEND MY MONEY AT THE SLIDEBAR TOMORROW.

  56. by Nyc on August 20, 2011
This is not embarrassing in anyone’s eyes, I’m across the country and I’m proud of Fullerton for stepping up. Even 1 corrupt cop getting away with murder is too much and worth a protest.

    outraged on August 20, 2011
Across the country, huh? What neighborhood? What are YOU doing to commemorate 911? Isn’t your city busy with all of that. I think, if YOU truly are, across the country, then you truly have better things to do.

    outraged:

What possible better way to commemorate 9/11 than to celebrate our Constitutional Right to publicly demonstrate against government corruption at home? Didn’t President George W. Bush proclaim “they hate our Democracy?” Then how better can we rub ‘their’ noses in their failure to cow America with their terrorist acts on 9/11 than to demonstrate against terrorist acts committed by those sworn to uphold our laws and protect us? Yes, I consider the FPD to have terrorists embedded in their ranks. Violence against citizens? Sexual abuse in the back seat of police cars? Murder of helpless victims? All MO of terrorist governments throughout the world. Sounds like something straight out of Moammar Gadhafi’s or Bashar al-Assad’s play books. By the way, time is quickly running out for Gadhafi, and soon will be for Assad, just as it did for Hosni Mubarak. You can keep trying to put off justice for the six Fullerton animals with badges run amok, but Justice comes, my friend. In time it comes for all tyrants.

You are right to feel OUTRAGED, just way off base in what you are outraged about. One would think your priorities and values badly skewed.

As one of you trolls pointed out before, this is America. Yes, it is, buddy. And, in America we have the Constitutionally Guaranteed Right to protest injustice from our leaders and civil servants, and the civic duty as citizens to demand justice when they have done wrong. Doesn’t it make you Proud to be an American? It sure does me. Along with nyc I too am proud of the people protesting in Fullerton. They seem to have a far greater grasp of what it means to be an American than you and your skulking FPD troll friends do.

  57. outraged :
Sorry you didnt learn how to count in grade school but there’s no way there was 1000 protesters.

Would you just shut the hell up already? More than anything, your just a waste of space Cincinelli. Go poke your ther eye out.

    1. S/he meant there was no way there “was” only 1 person there. That’s why s/he used the singular verb, I assume. S/he is way too smart to have made such a third-grade error in basic grammar.

  58. Outraged, your a knob you owe me a dry shirt, my girlfriend just shot her beer all over me, reading your post over my shoulder LOL

    1. Hey Nomad, just speaking what I believe to be is true!!! This one eyed jack-hole is probably this Outraged ass looking to stir up more trouble since he was out on a time out. I’ll definitely give you a shit though. Only, its going to have Cincenelli’s face on it with a target over the good eye.

      P.S.
      YOUR A DICKWAD OUTRAGED

  59. Anonymous :
So how hard would be to:
    1. put this information on a flyer
    2. walk around slidebar every night and give the flyer to the patrons
    3. put the flyers on every car windshield in that parking lot
    4. watch Slidebar’s business slowly disintegrate

GREAT IDEA! I’ll help. Let me know!

    1. I hope someone fires off a bunch of rounds to make a point. Oops not intentional, just hit em on accident.

  60. Cely :
We’ll be there every Saturday. Justice will be served. As for your comment “the bosses know this, they will out wait you and laugh away on their generous pensions”, send the “bosses” a message.. these have been peaceful protests, can’t promise they will remain peaceful if the killers and conspirators remain free… there is more than one way that Justice may be served, up to you which way you want it to go down.

Protesters in Fullerton Beware: Cely is either a police provocateur or an anarchist. Both can prove extremely dangerous. Be sure to warn people against anyone wearing bandanas or cloth masks (ski masks, etc.), carrying glass bottles or rock/bricks at the Saturday protests. Anarchists tried to hijack the legitimate WTO protests in Seattle, WA some years back, and gave the police excuse to tell media the protesters were violent and rioters. Protesters in Seattle were neither, but the anarchists were and got a lot of good people hurt. Police will not hesitate to use either anarchists or provocateurs to start tear-gassing and cracking heads. If you spot an anarchist or police provocateur OUT them immediately to everyone within earshot. Whoever is organizing your protests must have some sort of strategy devised for how to handle these trouble makers. Let people know what to do at the beginning of each protest!

You people are doing a marvelous job so far. Please be very careful.

    Thanks for reading this.

    All the best,
    Xer

    1. Baahaa! I so meant shirt. It’s late. Typo’s always seem to happen after 1am. And its sister! Unless I didnt check well the last time.

  61. Just sending some questions out to make you really think about what you really know…

Where did I get that fact?

    Has that been confirmed?

Why are we in such a hurry for answers?

In America, aren’t we innocent until proven guilty?

Why am I against authority and the government?

How can I help the mentally ill and/or homeless?

Will I support higher taxes to pay for their meds?

I believe Fullerton will never be the same and I hope it will be better. Instead of protesting and blogging, why not do something positive for the community, like a feed the homeless day, not just socks… do something to change just one person’s life, its called Pay it Forward.

    Think about it.

  62. It’s late, so I wanted to put up my next post before getting to bed.

    http://www.examiner.com/community-in-los-angeles/kelly-thomas-protests-taken-to-a-new-level

    A few things first:

    1. Stupid me had to go home for something and I wanted to scream that I missed the march! So, if I missed something from the march that you feel needs to be included, please tell me.
    2. I can’t call Kelly’s death a shit kicking for various reasons related to the Web site protocol (and legalities). Don’t jump all over me or compare me to Alan because of this, it’s just a fact.

  63. Here is Jeremy Popoff’s MySpace page:

    http://www.myspace.com/jeremypopoff

This is the scumbag who made the fake call to the police about “car burglaries” which of course led to Kelly Thomas being murdered by 6 rogue cops.

Not surprisingly, his settings only allow friends to send him messages. I really, really wanted to contact him and let him know about the wrath that was about to rain down on him and how everyone from California to Antarctica was going to know that he was the one who made the false report and got Kelly killed.

I wish I could say that I could give him the benefit of the doubt and that now he is probably wracked with guilt over the results of his actions. But somehow, I don’t think that is the case.

Make sure that everyone knows The Slide Bar and Jeremy Popoff are the ones who made the fake call. I hope this shows up on Google for eternity.

  64. @ chris, thanks for posting. i wouldnt trust jeremy popoff of the slide bar in fullerton, around my drinks yet alone near my food. i was at the protest and will continue to fight for kelly thomas’ justice. i for one am boycotting
    “the SLIME bar”

  65. Jeremy Popoff… Jeremy Popoff made the initial call to FPD from the Slidebar. FBI needs to hold them to the fire: face first!!!

Face first into the fire, Jeremy, you reported a false report, You know He was not violent…. you will be sent to jail with the rest of them.

  67. jeremy popoff of the slime bar is a real piece of work. more people need to see this piece of work and boycott his bar

  68. …entry from Jeremy Popoffs facebook page telling us in his own words why “he’s such a big deal”. The eerie part about this entry is at the end where Jeremy’s son Jacob laments to his father that it’s too bad that Angels can’t talk when they’re in heaven”.

…I’m sure that Angels can speak Jacob and they are all shouting encouragement to you to do the right thing each and every day so that you don’t turn out like your father did.

    Jeremy Popoff’s Blurbs

    About me:
I don’t know how to put this……. but…….. I’m kind of a big deal. People know me. I’ve seen a million faces….. and I’ve rocked them all. HaHa! Ok…… I’m the guy with the goatee from Lit. I was born and raised in Orange County, CA. I survived on a diet of Heavy Metal and BMX. I wasn’t that rad at sports, so in order to get chicks I started plaiyin’ guitar. I joined a rock band when I was 15. I play guitar, write songs, produce, etc. I was on Cribs, and I was eaten by Pamela Anderson. What? I also have a 8 year old son, Jake, who rules! When I’m not traveling, or doing the music thing, or hangin’ with Jake, I’m probably at my bar/ restaurant called The Slidebar. Downtown Fullerton. It is OFF THE HOOK! You should come by. Let’s see…………. What else?? I spend a lot of time in Nashville, TN. It’s my second home. I write a lot of songs there. I love country music. I’m a Republican, but I am pro- choice and I support Stem Cell Research. I’m a neat freak. I try to eat healthy, but I love Del Taco….. especially at 2:15am. I like to sleep for 9 or 10 hours but I can function just fine on 2 or 3. When I’m home, I sleep in a 8 foot round bed. Yes it sucks finding sheets for it. Every once in a whle I take a nap in the 3 o clock position. I drink 5 or 6 cups of coffee a day. Large ones. Most of the time I’m a nice guy. I enjoy sunshine, happiness, fun, rainbows, puppies, ice cream, Santa and things that smell good. I shy away from field sobriety tests, rectal thermometers, things that suck, or cause swelling. That’s probably enough info for now……. Oh……. it took 5 years. Yes they hurt. She was cool. Yea, my windshield is tinted. If you wanna hear a sample of some of my country stuff, check out myspace.com/jeremypopoffmusic “Too bad angels can’t call us when they’re up in heaven” Jake Popoff

    1. You left out one more thing from Jeremy’s face book page: ” oh ya, and I’m a total dousche bag.. I think my shit don’t stink.”

    2. In Popoff’s defense, “I’m kind of a big deal. People know me….” is just a line from “Anchorman,” it was ridiculous when Will Farrel’s character Ron Burgundy said it, and so it’s ridiculous and maybe even a little self-deprecating when those who have some kind of minor celebrity say it. I can see how it might not across so great with this crowd, but it really is just a line, a joke.

    3. While standing in front of the FPD station the other night and taking some pics, some kids came by asking for directions to the Slide bar. I told them where it was, but I also suggested they find a place to eat that wasn’t implicated in this atrocity. I suggested several places on Harbor Blvd. instead, and they thanked me for that and went looking for one of those places instead. 🙂

Seriously, that place is nothing more than a magnet for shallow, low-life 909-level ghetto trash.

      1. No matter what you say about the Slide Bar, things are not going to change. In fact, I was there this past weekend and it was packed. Its better than before. All it did was bring in more business. Chucks..to bad.

  69. Angels can call the DA’s office and let them know every single thing about the police force in Fullerton that created a culture of “Above the law”

The intense anger and hatred those cops had in their minds to murder that boy come from within the force..

We as peacemakers need to realize the men and women in blue are in a position that creates the type of stress that can explode and enforce training regimens for them that help them keep their minds so as not to go into monkeymind mode and choose violence instead of intelligence

  70. SAD 🙁 I just asked myself “Why would I say the DA’s office?”

It is also corrupt and too intermingled/tied to the police unions etc..

Where can a community go for unbiased justice when their government and police force are no longer part of the citizenry?

    1. that’s why we have to protest – there is no one, just us- but there are more to us then them-lets do it

      1. Its THEIR job to come when I call, to patrol streets. to arrest drunk drivers etc,- thats why I pay taxes-
Its not their job to beat me to death if they dont like my tone of voice or I didnt kiss their butt hard enough or even if I run a few feet. Its not their job to falsify a report with claims that I “resisted” or “interferred” because I video recorded them and its not the “good” cops job to keep a code of “silence” by withholding info they know about a “bad” cop

And here’s a question to all you trolls and Demi-gods -curious-what is it the official evidendence may show everyone?
That Kelly beat HIMSELF to death?
Or that the coppers accidently stumbled on top of Kelly, knocked him to the ground and they had some sort of seizures that caused them to beat him to death?
I think this “wait for the evidence to come out” shit is just a stonewalling tactic to avoid having to admit what most of the people (who arent on the take) know already-that Kelly Thomas was brutaly murdered by their nazi gestapo and then covered it like my cat covers her turds so no one sees anything.
And furthermore I think the people in charge of the “official evidence” are suspecious and on the take and I wouldn’t be surprised if they tried to taint this in their favor-and you trolls

Oh, yeah, in America you are innocent until guilty in a court, not on the streets-my “evidence” is the pictures, the videos, the witnesses, the covering up since day 1 and the fact that no in the FPD, DA, Council etc is not saying anything-in fact NO politician anywhere is saying anything except for beverly hills

one day of feeding the homeless by the citizens is going to change anything in fullerton-Places like that Slidebar and that donut shop on Harbor ought to do this always- protesting will evoke change, it will work-keep on-it takes time

        1. “one day of feeding the homeless by the citizens is going to change ”

          typo

is NOT going to change anything

    2. I’m on the east coast and I am disgusted with what is being done by the corrupt DA’s office and the federal phonies. I am reluctlant most of the time to post critical comments against the corrupt investigators and police enforcers. My concern is that I will be accused of being a terrorist and be arrested. I expect my phone and internet service to be turned off, after all I may be thinking about something the tyrants don’t like.

  71. We can only hope that Jeremy is proud of what has occurred because of his phone call that has “ROCKED” not only the City of Fullerton, but the entire World!

  72. I actually feel sorry for this Jeremy’s son Jacob who probably idolizes his father and thinks he does no wrong. Wait until he can discern for himself and begins to realize that his father was responsible for making a telephone call that left someone else’s father without his own son. I for one will keep this man’s innocent child in my prayers, and hope and pray that someday he will be wise enough to choose a different path than his father.

    1. Do you really think it’s reasonable to blame Jeremy Popoff, or any other business owner who might have called, for the murderous beatdown of Kelly Thomas at the hands of thug cops? Please.

      1. If the call was a false report, they share in some of the blame. The result is probably not what the caller intended but if Kelly wasn’t doing what the caller said he was doing, he was set up illegally.

If the call was made in collusion or instructions of FPD that hung out at Slidebar, even worse.

    2. Why are you all so mad at Jeremy. He just wanted to get rid of some scuzzy, smelly, dirty dude away from his business. What’s wrong with that?

  73. To Allen and the cop lovers…… kinda scary when people get a burr up their azz…. The police and the DA should have ponied up right at the begining. They did not so they have to face the consequences. People will go to prison, people will go to jail, people will be fired and people will lose their business’s. All to protect a couple of dirty cops……. shame you guys are on the wrong side and should be protesting to get rid of dirty cops too.

  74. I learned from Jeremy Popoff’s Myspace page that his favorite TV shows are about Prison, Fishing, and running from the cops ( you just can’t make this stuff up ).
It also says that his heroes are his mom and Allen, who I;m guessing is his brother. Is this the same Allen who has been trolling this blog?

  75. Does anyone have any info on just when we all can expect some information from the D.A, F.B.I, “special consultant,” or any of the many groups “investigating” this? It happened July 5th; it’s August 21.
I would think 45+ days is plenty of time to expect a report from someone…including autopsy findings.

  76. The lack of any “official” statements or findings is having the effect of a flamethrower on a pool of gasoline. The officials must have a real blockbuster of an explanation and “findings” to give us. I am finding this increasingly ridiculous, as is most everyone else.

    1. Call the DA up all day, every day demanding action. It will at the very least piss the heck out of the support staff and get them talking to their boss.

714-834-3600. Call and ask legitimate questions.

I noted when visiting the DA website they have a tab for “cases in the news.” Interestingly, nothing was mentioned about this case.

      1. Like the only people that see reality have said numerous times this issue is dying quickly. Your group of liars has lost all credibility. Your demands are laughed at. Call the DAs office all day and see how much longer thing are delayed on purpose. Your group of activists are the same as the latino activists, blind to reality and has to lie to get anyone to listen. Move on.

    1. Description: Excessive force; false arrest; malicious prosecution; pattern and practice of brutality; cover-up; evidence tampering and violations of constitutional rights claims an entire family whose bridal shower ended up resulting in approximately 100 deputies in riot gear surrounding the home of Arthur Dole. 36 guests were arrested, beaten and humiliated in front of family and neighbors by angry and overzealous law enforcement officers.

Outcome: Verdict for plaintiffs for $15.9 million.

  77. According to Wikipedia, the band LIT owns The Slidebar.Allen J. Popoff, and Jeremy Popoff since 2006.It would be a shame if The Slidebar got LIT.It would make an awesome rock video.

  78. fullerton lover :
It also says that his heroes are his mom and Allen, who I;m guessing is his brother. Is this the same Allen who has been trolling this blog?

The Allen Jeremy refers to, is the former drummer of his band, LIT. A great guy, and friend of mine, named Allen Shellenberger who was diagnosed with an aggressive form a brain cancer then was dead shortly after that. He hadn’t even reached his 40th birthday. It was tragic. Allen was all class and faced his death with such strength.

    http://www.mtv.com/news/articles/1618779/lit-drummer-allen-shellenberger-dead-at-39.jhtml

To clarify who called the police, where is the evidence that was Jeremy himself or, more broadly, Slidebar? I have heard the rumor, but have yet to see any evidence. I know some people are saying “ask this person or that person,” but that isn’t really sufficient. Does anyone have any evidence?

    1. Sorry to hear about your friend Allen and apologize for associating him with a troll. The information regarding this call being made from the Slidebar is golden and irrefutable. You have no idea just how slimy this place and it’s owners are going to look when this story is soon told.

  79. Jeremy didn’t make the call. A Slidebar manager did. That person feels awful for following Jeremy’s policy to call FPD in a particular manner (reporting that a crime is in progress) that allows them to be aggressive from the get-go. I believe this method was developed between Jeremy and his FPD cronies because Jeremy thinks the homeless scum is bad for his business. Well Jeremy, let me tell you what is ultimately bad for your business. When your staff is questioned by the FBI, and they will be, and it comes out that you have an internal policy dictating that staff call in false claims of criminal activity, you will face the following:

Your self described fame will turn to infamy and your business will fail.
You will face numerous state and federal criminal charges.
You will loose whatever wealth you have accumulated to the various civil lawsuits that will come from the Thomas family, and in all probability, your staff.

    1. What is this “I believe” shit. Back up your opinion with some facts.

Are you merijoe? Again, you’re taking the movement backward not forward with your opinions.

      1. Since when does anyone have to back up an opinion???

Why don’t you, instead, post your opinion and the facts or basis for it?

    2. Been askin around..why would Jeremy or his employees be questioned by the FBI. Stop watching TV and get back to the real world..What’s bad for business is having bums hanging around your business. He did the right thing.

  80. Anonymous :
Unfortunately, he turned up today with bullhorn in hand spewing his idiotic Christian Nation theories as if the subject had anything to do with seeking justice for Kelly Thomas. Fortunately, he jaywalked away after being told how stupid and inappropriate his ravings were in the context of the protest (or any other time and place).

I was happy to see him leave.

  81. Whenever I need a laugh I come onto this site to check things out. It never fails that merijoe opens her pie hole and says something that takes the movement back a few steps. It just cements the fact that people like her, no not fat ugly broads, but people who share her views are one sided. Here it is this time.

“I think this “wait for the evidence to come out” shit is just a stonewalling tactic to avoid having to admit what most of the people (who arent on the take) know already-that Kelly Thomas was brutaly murdered by their nazi gestapo and then covered it like my cat covers her turds so no one sees anything.

She says some telling things. First of all she said “taint”. That’s fucken funny admit it! Second, she admits she not going to wait for the evidence to come out because she has already passed judgement. Third, any outcome other than the cops getting hung by their balls is only because the DA is corrupt. Fourth she’s liar. She says, “Thomas was brutaly murdered by their nazi gestapo and then covered it like my cat covers her turds so no one sees anything.” We all know you have more than one cat. You’re that lady with 10 cats and the house smells like shit and urine.

Of course the PD, Council, and DA aren’t saying anything. They are going to wait for the complete investigation and put out an intelligent release. Do you expect them to come out and debate with you on this site?

You want this to drag on as long as it can so you have something to do on Saturday’s besides clean up the cat shit on your floor.

You love to talk shit about everyone that has a different view than you.

Next time you wonder why you’re not married or can’t keep a man just listen to the crap spewing out of your foul mouth. Or just look in the mirror. Your fat and fugly. Get over yourself!

    Moooooooo!

By the way, where was King Tony on Sat. I didn’t see him there. Has he resorted to having his minions do his political work for him now.

  82. Dole vs Los Angeles County Sheriff’s- Lawyer Garo Mardirossian. The case surrounded police Brutality, lies, and cover up. Sound familiar? One of the main victims, David Dole, suffers a stroke from the beating. All this over a family celebrating at a bridal shower.
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LlElPwMx870

ALSO!! Take a look at the O.C REGISTER this morning and there’s no story on the Protest/Kelly Thomas from yesterday. However, there are stories of “Recycled fashion in Laguna” and “Flashmob dancers at HB pier” from Saturday. I guess a Kelly Thomas protest is not a priority to the OC REGISTER any longer.

  83. like i said ..fullerton is a dump… @justice 4 all, make sure to go out and help a homeless, stinky , crazy guy…nobody wants to deal with them, begging 4 money, peeping & pooping all over, laying drunk on the sidewalk sunning themselves……..so why don’t u find out who is calling complaining about them….. cops usually have better things to do then dealing with nasty homless person..even if that means sitting and stuffing their face..do u really think they want to be interrupted and have to go deal with some dirty, smelly homless person???….but guess what people call in and officers must take an action…..sure have not heard any stories about anyone going out and helping a homeless person……people are more worried about the officers & officers pay checks……so if u want some relief to all the “pain” people seem to have now , then go help a homless person. nobody gave a crap about kelly when he was alive. his own parents restrained him and did not want him anywhere near them……wish some of the pro-kelly thomas people would address that issue……..please help me to understand why we should feel sorry for the thomas family who restrained kelly but now so sad he is not here…..i see $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ in their future.

    1. @fullerton people, please re-read some of the following insensitive and pathetic comments that you wrote, such as the following: “…please help me to understand why we should feel sorry for the Thomas family who restrained Kelly but now so sad he is not here…..i see $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ in their future.”

“cops usually have better things to do then dealing with nasty homless person..even if that means sitting and stuffing their face..do u really think they want to be interrupted and have to go deal with some dirty, smelly homless person???”

Your many similar comments reveal that you are a sociopath. And, if I were to give you the benefit of the doubt, at the very least, you are completely clueless. What’s more, you have no desire to remediate your ignorance by educating yourself about severe mental illness and homelessness. I have been trying my best to “help you understand,” but by your past comments, it is painfully obvious that you don’t care two cents about Kelly, whom you describe as, “…a nasty, homeless person..” , or his family, or any other families for that matter. The only one you are concerned about is yourself and protecting your buddies, your salary and your pension. There is no way that I can help someone to understand, who has no interest in understanding. Nor do I have the time to type a 12 class syllabus on this blog.

You could prove me wrong by signing up for a “Family to Family” 12 week course on severe mental illness, sponsored by NAMI. Each class is about 2.5 hours long. Don’t miss any of the classes. Each class covers different aspects of dealing with mental illness. They cover an amazing amount of information, and it is difficult to squeeze it all in the allotted time frame. In fact, I took the series twice because it is very difficult to absorb all of the information on the first go around. I actually need to take another series for a refresher and for new updates.

Officers, who deal with the public, must be compassionate and educated. You should be taking these classes and refresher courses at least every couple of years.

Your lack of compassion for the mentally ill is unconscionable and your posts on this blog are very telling concerning your lack of humanity and lack of professionalism.

Please do not try to justify Kelly’s murder, nor try to justify your lack of education and empathy by calling into question what I do every week to help the homeless and the mentally ill. You could never measure up to what I do on a weekly basis. You can trust me on that. And, besides that, I can not be everywhere at the same time. All I can do is my best, and also try to educate others and raise awareness about the challenges of mental illness and homelessness. In your job as a “peace officer” I truly expect more of you, and other officers, in your efforts to do the very same thing. But, I would expect you to be, at the very least, compassionate and merciful and understanding and a lot more enlightened about issues of mental health. I am ashamed that there are people like you working out on the streets dealing with the public who trash talk and denigrate and oppress the mentally ill the way that you do.

Obviously, changes need to be made in the morals and standards that are required of law enforcement personnel. We obviously need much better trained individuals serving in law enforcement. We need people who have more integrity, selflessness and compassion. It’s time for the sociopaths, like you, to be fired. If you’re really not a sociopath, then go ahead and sign up for the NAMI classes. Go ahead, take a break from sitting by the pool and golfing. Do it in the name of “serving the public.”

FIRST-thats right, I HAVE PASSED JUDGEMENT, thats right-THE ANIMALS YOU GIVE BJ’S TO ARE GUILTY OF MURDER

SECOND-how do you know who was or wasnt at the protest, were you there? if so why didnt you speak up with you point of view?

  85. @ #259 Wwjd > does not take much to see what your all about.it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out why Kelly Thomas is dead yea yea we know all all about innocent until proven guilty it’s no surprise all the piglets are running scared your little game is been outed the pressure is on for you bottom feeders spew vile shit to the public all your garbage you write in text is falling on deaf ears no one but your FPD butt buddies are interested in what you and your low life piggies have to say. What will you tell your kids when they finally know what you maggots have done what a legacy you have given your family’s.By the way low life Hampton you made the news again lair ,lair, lair you have been caught. Wwjd this is the cat shit you talking about do we need a panel to figure this one out.the feds will put all you sorry asses in prison.they are not friends to the local mindless police they will show all you bottom feeders who is running the show enjoy our vacation now be sure to put money aside for your books in prison you’ll need it to keep Bubba out your ass!!

    1. Same bullshit, different post. I can’t wait until the riots start when this is over. Unfortunately, most of the looters will not be from Fullerton, just like on Saturdays, when the professional tree huggers come into town.

I hope they’re not so passive when the cops start kicking the shit out of them.

Can’t wait to see that video on youtube.

      1. Again, invoking “God” with a moniker like “wwjd” and hurling contradictory epithets. That’s known as hypocrisy. 🙂

~“When fascism comes to America, it will be wrapped in the flag and carrying the cross.”

No doubt, if you existed in Germany in the late 30’s, you would have been the kind of citizen that would gladly report the Jew living next door, because that’s how people like you are.

      2. Then all these idiots will cry because the cops didn’t act fast enough to save their houses and businesses. I can’t wait. Laugh all the way to the bank.

        1. @Oink Oink, We don’t want any bad cops showing up anywhere near our homes or businesses. And, since we can’t tell the difference these days between the murderers and all of their accomplices, and the good officers, we much prefer that you all just stay in the pool or out on the golf links. In fact, take extra vacation time.

We don’t want you “‘peace officers” anywhere near us since you can’t quite seem to figure out how to “help” without murdering or seriously maiming someone.

Yup, we know that all you care about is your money in the bank. That’s a given. We know that’s your motivation for being in your chosen profession. (Except maybe for the guns, clubs, Tasers, cuffs, and the badge part and how it makes you all feel so self important) Your motivation certainly is not to “serve and protect,” that’s for sure.

I have a hunch that the number of citizen phone calls for assistance going in to the FPD is way down these days. I wonder why?? NOT

          1. Calls are up. Don’t think your pipe dream is that powerful. Drive around and talk to people. Fullerton is already sick of the agenda behind your little childish group. Yes vacation and money is good. Not using vacation and money is even better.

A GIANT REMINDER of what you and we are ALL up against.. there are elements that dictate what we are allowed to know and hear and WHAT gets promoted and germinated.

I know this is about Kelly but look up Operation Ajax. its on the CIA’s own website.. How the USA stole Democracy from the Iranian citizens so Britain could continue to rape them for oil profits..

STOLE DEMOCRACY and some think the USA is God’s Country.. If god is a fucking dollar sign then they are right

    1. OMG! Not another CIA coverup! I think you’re right. The Government IS out to get the citizens. We should show up the the CIA building and protest. That will make a difference.

Go tell someone who wants to listen.

  87. Hey Sissynelli… answer the question.. Did all that smelly dead homeless guys blood wash out of your uniform or did you throw it away?

  88. There is a larger problem because Police don’t have a tool between Taser and the Hand Cuff, until now! If they had a option between reaching for their Taser, (which is deadly force) or “The Apprehender” (a new cuffing control device trying to help bridge the gap less lethal) when trained properly, they would always reach for The Apprehender. It provide a safe and humane way to take people into custody. Watch the video here: http://youtu.be/z25m_Pekz7c

“Intent” is the key… They didn’t intend to cuff him.. they intended to beat the shit out of him and that is why they asked the slidebar to not use a 911 line.. so they could kill a homeless guy…

They murdered that dude in front of innocent citizens in a fucking bus station.. 🙁

Hopefully some of you young and socially connected minds are willing to get this out to the world because this is not about Kelly as much as it is about Humanity and Authority knowing they only have it because we give it.

    1. “Hopefully some of you young and socially connected minds are willing to get this out to the world because this is not about Kelly as much as it is about Humanity and Authority knowing they only have it because we give it.”

Finally, Anonymous admits this is not about Kelly. Just another fucking Communist using this incident as his forum for his anti-Government rhetoric.

You didn’t give a shit about Kelly either. Who are you? Tony Bushala or Ron Thomas?

  90. Wwjd :
    oh, you care

Yes, and clearly YOU care and FEAR merijoe’s “opinions” on this board, which is why you’ve made so many ad hominem attacks on her. Were I she, I would take pride in your hatred of her. Your fear gives her greater power over you, so keep up the vicious filthy attacks on her. You make her all the more sympathetic to the average reader. Once again, you stupid trolls shoot yourselves in your flat-footed #13s. Bravo for you!

Oh, and Just curious there, wwjd, does fantasizing about merijoe in a black and white “cow” bikini get you off? Does she weigh about 450 lbs in your sexually fixated fantasies? Or, is it the smell of dirty cat boxes that does it for you? Man, you are seriously obsessing about this lady.

Uh, just did a quick Google for you and guess what?

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tbIykzvxFzQ

Perhaps that will keep your right arm exercised for a while and allow merijoe to go about her business without fear of you continuing to stalk her online.

Can’t wait to see that video on youtube.

Please note, wwjd, I’ve already found a youtube just for for YOU!

    1. I apologize Xer, I am clearly wrong here. Merijoe does have someone. Obviously you got a thing for her coming to her defense like a damsel in distress. You must be her man. Go ahead stand behind her and her 400 lbs, and her cat’s shit.

By the way, by no means am I “stalking” her. Unlike what assholes like you want when people posted home addresses and phone numbers of cops that haven’t been convicted of SHIT yet. I don’t see this much outrage when a fucken child molester moves next door to you. Or are you that person trying to deflect the attention on other people?

I will leave merijoe alone until she opens up her pie hole again. Until then, I will focus my attention on you. Thanks buddy, for providing me entertainment! It’s priceless!

      1. Some child molesters can be identified on the websitehttp://www.nationalalertregistry.com/cgi-bin/shop.cgi?product=NAR&offer=DBS27RB9

Now, unfortunately, we are realizing that we are going to need a website to identify the evil, murderous officers in our neighborhoods and towns. Anyone who warns their neighbors and friends about a potential murderer, even if he is a cop, is doing us all a great favor. I’m sure you don’t have any problem with publicizing the names and photos of those who are suspected cop killers. Turn about is fair play, I’d say.

        1. If you had a clue most people know all the cops in their neighborhoods. They also know to go to those houses for help and not to break into those houses at the wrong time or they will be shot dead. Obvious.

          1. I think most people want to AVOID the evil officers’ houses (just as much as they want to avoid a child molester), not go inside them. Most people know to be extremely wary of sociopaths.

  92. Oink Oink :
Buy her a razor to shave her legs and pits. Yuck.

Okay, look. You Boyz gotta do SOMETHING for yourselves. Use your right hand on the keyboard for a while for a change. Do your own Google search for ‘sexy shaved fat girl’s. I’ve already done my bit for wwjd’s depraved fantasies. Sorry I couldn’t help him out with the dirty cat litter box, oh well.

It is a sad day when you speak with the name wwjd..

Anyhow.. how is Kelly more important than Government Brutality against its citizens?

A coverup will be the same as physical violence
Keeping their jobs and pensions and positions of power and corruptness after all these years will be worse than physical violence committed against Fullerton..

Those people try to give themselves raises while homelessness rises and unemployment rises all the while they ARE COMPLETELY INEPT AND COWARDLY

If socialism means the people own the government then “By the people for the people” means?

    1. Until you PROVE a cover up you have nothing. No, don’t just throw bullshit against the wall and see what sticks. Back it up with facts. Unfortunately you won’t be able to until the OFFICIAL investigation is done. Not the investigation in your clouded, misguided mind. Not the investigation of “So and so said blah, blah, blah. I heard blah, blah, blah.” No one has presented EVIDENCE.

By the way, a video that doesn’t show anything or not the whole incident is not VALID.

Oh, I forgot to mention I did see the KTLA news report on Friday night where good old Ron “found” a witness and brought him to the FBI. The same Ron that was on camera giving MONEY to the same witness! How come no one has mentioned that?

Any one see that report? Please clarify.

    1. “Yes, you do win .. your use of that screen name with your black heart is very offensive”

…and so is the bullshit you spew on this blog

Yes, they were going about it all by the book restraining a 160lb man bludgeoning him into a coma.. the witnesses at the bus station on the busses and such said “the cops just beat that man to death”

why did they kill him if all they had to do was “restrain” him

why did they falsify their police reports in the Vietnames dudes incident and CHARGE him with CRIMES TOO…

you will blindly let your government rob and steal from you and never care to do anything about it

Mr Thomas is the only reason this death is being investigated.. I wonder how much more will come up

A pattern exists and doesn’t look legit

  95. The “big talk” on this site has gotten too rhetorical. I’d like to read more ration and thought than all the tough talk and name calling.

  96. Wwjd :
I apologize Xer, I am clearly wrong here. Merijoe does have someone. Obviously you got a thing for her coming to her defense like a damsel in distress. You must be her man. Go ahead stand behind her and her 400 lbs, and her cat’s shit.

Lame apology accepted for what it was, after all it came with a complement. I’m priceless? Why, thank you, very kind. Unfortunately, except for comic relief you are of no value to anyone at all.

Seems I managed to strike a nerve with the earlier observation about your Jonsin’ for merijoe, and the immediate disclaimer about your stalking her? Hum, must be something there to get your panties in a bunch so quick.

As for being blessed by your attention until you go sniffing around merijoe’s catbox again, I am simply shaking in my boots. Nothing quite as terrifying as being stalked by a toothless mad chihuahua (Shirley Temple’s voice, “Oh, my goodness”). Truth is, sport, without a gun and a badge you’re just another cheap punk. Glad you’re giving merijoe a breather anyway. She can no doubt use a break from that infernal high-pitched yapping.

And, perhaps while taking a break from ‘hounding’ merojoe, you could sign up for that Anger Management Class you keep seeing advertised on the pinboard at the PD. Bet it would make life a lot easier for your wife and kids. Then again, so would getting back on the wagon for a while. Now that brings up an interesting thought:

Could it be the reason FPD hates homeless people so much is they realize without their badges and guns they’d be in the same boat within a few months? Don’t they already have the drinking issues down? From descriptions of Slidebar, it sounds like they have substance abuse issues already too. Projecting their own weaknesses onto poor little schizophrenic Kelly Thomas incensed them to the point of murdering him? What gutless cowards. Such a shame their self-hatred cost Kelly his life. They will soon find killing homeless people will never still their own personal demons. At least in prison they’ll finally be off the bottle. In the meantime, good luck with that drinking problem, wwjd.

    1. No one is taking a stupid class like that. Real citizens (not you out of town whack jobs) and real business owners want the homeless out of this town for good. With the out of town nut balls now wanting Fullerton to be a homeless camp, homeless from all over so cal will come to Fullerton. The future looks bleak for Fullerton.

  97. Joe Sipowicz :
Time you guys started to ignore the trolls.

Hey, Joe. Come on. A little comic relief now and then helps relieve the stress of a very serious issue. Without these half-wit trolls this board wouldn’t draw half the attention it does now. Their constant Keystone Cops routine sure keeps me lol. People like to laugh, Joe

  98. Wwjd :
You failed to comment on Ron paying off a witness.

You think I am dumb enough to think this case has anything whatsoever to do with Ron Thomas?

FPD Bludgeoned to death a mentally ill homeless resident of Fullofshiterton, CA, USA .. this has nothing to do with your hearsay .. proof is ..

people who knew Kelly said he wasn’t violent
6 cops beat him into a coma
he was pronounced vegetable 5 days later. truth.. vegetable on arrival

yes ppl come in here and try to deflect the murder of Kelly Thomas onto outside BS..

    grow some adulthood about yourselves

Our agenda? Oh, you mean to get justice for Kelly and to get rid of the corruption in city hall, the FPD and the D.A.’s office? You mean to get rid of the vile, swamp creatures that are currently wearing badges? And to get some educated, decent, human beings with integrity, honesty and compassion wearing the badges? I know, it’s a tall order, but we’re working on it. And, I bet the most calls that are coming in to the FPD are calls demanding that you all be fired ASAP.

  100. Anonymous :
So how hard would be to:
    1. put this information on a flyer
    2. walk around slidebar every night and give the flyer to the patrons
    3. put the flyers on every car windshield in that parking lot
    4. watch Slidebar’s business slowly disintegrate

Great idea. I’m in, but we’d probably get accused of breaking into cars and get our brains beaten out by the cops.

  101. @justice for all, maybe u should have told kellys family to go sit in ur class before they got a restraining order on him….so u want to use a sensativity chip,,,maybe the fullerton 6 should have gave kelly a backrub and some food……..
people call and complain about the homeless, digging in trash, peeing & pooping around the city, begging for money & ect….so if they are mental issues then maybe a 5150 hold would be a better choice,,,
the truth is, nobody seems to want to have the homeless roaming around their personal homes, places of business or places they visit. so people get scared and call the police. so it seems like u want the police to provide counseling. but guess what, if u do not make the problem go away people will keep calling and complain the police won’t do anything..
since u are so concerned for the homeless why don’t u set up camp at ur house & help some…. there r plenty of them in fullerton…but i believe that u probaly don’t want them at ur house, thomas family got a restraining order so i guess they did not want kelly near them and i sure as hell don’t want them in my neighborhood….maybe they can find some participants at ur class that want to house them and keep them off of the streets???????

    1. @fullerton people, As I have said many times on this blog, if the FPD thought that Kelly was a danger to himself, a danger to others, or gravely disabled, they could, and should, have transported Kelly to a hospital on a 5150 WIC for a psych evaluation. Why they didn’t, I don’t know. Perhaps they had their own agenda.

The officers do receive training (although not nearly enough) on how to handle mentally ill people and they know that they also have a C.A.T. (Centralized Assessment Team) that will respond out in the field to help them 24/7.

And, yes, if the FPD couldn’t remember how to properly handle someone who is mentally ill, then a “back rub and some food” would definitely have been a far better option than beating Kelly to death.

LE do provide counseling to the public. However, they can counsel the mentally ill all they want, but the mentally ill person may be too sick to correctly interpret, understand, remember, or put into use, what was told to them. They are often unable to read very much because they can’t remember what they just read; therefore, they often will re-read the same sentence over and over and over and over. For instance, they would have a great problem just trying to read a bus schedule and figuring out how to get to a homeless shelter, etc. or understanding and remembering directions. If you tell them a list of two or three things to remember, they most likely won’t be able to remember the list.

As much as I try, I can’t make the homelessness and the problems of mental illness “go away” by myself; all I can do is to help educate about mental illness and do my part to volunteer and advocate.

There are 300,000 new diagnoses of schizophrenia each year. This problem is not going away any time soon. And, with more and more people being unemployed and losing their incomes and their homes-the homeless problem is not going away any time soon either.

The FPD can not make these problems just “go away” by beating every homeless and mentally ill person to death.

You state, “..since u are so concerned for the homeless why don’t u …” Well, I do quite a lot of volunteer work for the mentally ill population; however, your statement makes it obvious that YOU are NOT concerned. The homeless and mental illness problem is EVERYONE’S problem, not just mine. Everyone needs to be concerned about their fellow man and not just try to shove all of the responsibility off onto a few people.

Maybe if you took the NAMI classes, you wouldn’t be quite so afraid of mental illness, and then you would understand a bit more about what it is like to suffer from a mental illness, and you would know more about how to help.

In order for parents to get their adult child hospitalized for longer than 72 hours, they have to sign an affidavit or a restraining order stating that the child/adult is not able to live at their home. This is in order to show that the mentally ill person is “gravely disabled” and that he has no where to live, and that he does not have a place to live, that he can not provide food, clothing or shelter for himself.

If the parents don’t do this, then the hospital will say that the person is NOT “gravely disabled” and they will release them back out onto the street, after just three days. Three days is not nearly long enough to get someone stabilized on meds or to change their meds, or to get them eating properly again, obtain cognitive behavior therapy, or anything else. “Gravely Disabled” status is also very often a necessary step in the process of obtaining a conservatorship for a mentally ill loved one. It is a very difficult process, and often times seemingly impossible.

Often, we know that our loved ones are very ill and not “in their right minds”, and not functioning properly; however, when we call a PERT team to come and evaluate them, the PERT team may refuse to take them to the hospital because they “are not a danger to themselves or a danger to others.” The officers or the PERT team has to wait until the sick person has actually threatened violence, or committed violence before they will do anything to help. By that time, perhaps as in Kelly’s case, he may have “taken a swing at his Grandpa with a poker,” or some other such thing, that he would NEVER have done if he had been in his right mind. It was not Kelly’s fault that the system failed him and that officers, nor a PERT team, nor his parents could get him to the hospital for treatment BEFORE a crisis developed. Our system makes it very difficult for parents to get help for their adult children over 18.

And, if a parent tries to transport an adult child with paranoid schizophrenia to the hospital themselves, the child will often just jump out of the car in the middle of an intersection and run away, disappear for days or weeks, etc. Often, a loved one is so sick, confused and paranoid that you can’t even get them to come out of their room, or get them to go outside or get into at all.

Every situation is a bit different. And, a lot of parents are in the dark about this illness, just as much as you are. Parents often don’t even have a clue what is wrong with their child for a long time. They may think it is a “rebellious phase,” or a “stage” or “teenage angst” or depression, or they may wonder if their child is on some type of drugs or something else. Sometimes it takes a long time for parents to figure out what is really wrong. And, some parents are just plain in denial and don’t want to admit that their child could have a mental illness.

It is terrifying to watch your child’s personality and ability to function deteriorate, while at the same time you don’t even understand what is happening, and you are not able to, or don’t know how, to get any help for them.

It is NOT a crime to be mentally ill. It IS a crime to murder someone because he is mentally ill. Mental illness is NOT a choice; it IS a serious and devastating brain disorder, just like Alzheimers, Parkinson’s Disease and Multiple Schlerosis.

And, YES, a LOT more sensitivity and education is needed, by the public and by law enforcement.

      1. sorry, some corrections of typos;

    2. JUSTICE FOR ALL!

Before you respond to: by fullerton people on August 21, 2011
@justice for all, maybe u should have told kellys family…

Consider this: Many of these trolls are the same person. The few actual trolls already know that you do volunteer work. They already know ALL the facts and logical arguments posted on this blog. They are simply posting the same ridiculous lame-brained propaganda ad nauseam, and adding new troll names every so often (probably from multiple computer terminals in the FPD, and likely T-Racks office) in attempts to simply wear people down and LITERALLY make this all just go away, as they keep predicting will happen (wishful thinking on their part).

This site is what, more than any other single thing, keeping this issue in the public’s eye. They believe if they can just wear you all down you will give up and the public will forget as the FPD and T-Rack sorely wish the public would. I would suggest, when you present a good logical argument or set of facts succinctly to something that has been posted here by trolls many times already, you simply copy it into a file on your computer created for the purpose. The next time that troll name, or another ridiculous troll name (fullerton people indeed!) spews the same vile garbage as before, just c/p your previous response. It will dramatically save on the keystrokes and your nerves.

When an animal is fighting for its life it has no morals, no ethics, and no honor. It is only interested in survival. The FPD Six made a grave miscalculation the night they murdered Kelly Thomas. They had no idea the eventual repercussions. If these FPD garbage mouths weren’t terrified they wouldn’t be working so tirelessly to take you down.

Bear this in mind, even an animal gets tired, even a terrified animal fighting to avoid exposure. Predators wear down their prey every day in the wild or they would starve. Many cops enjoy being the predator, but this time THEY are on the run. The FPD clearly has many skeletons in their closets that will be uncovered if the Kelly Thomas issue is ever dealt with openly and honestly. Same goes for T-Rack! Why do you think he is trying SO HARD to cover this up? Do NOT give in to them. Don’t let them wear you down. If you want to play with a troll for a moment’s idle humor, fine, do that, I do myself sometimes. But, remember to save those lucid comments for recycling when the trolls turn on the recorded message.

They got to me once. Fool me once shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.

Stay alert, but don’t exhaust yourself.

Everyone here keep up the good work! You people so ROCK! If only Kelly could have known how much so many people would once day care about him. I never knew him, but I think such knowledge would make anyone regardless how ill feel better about their life.

Someday I intend to come visit his memorial.

      All the best,
      Xer

      1. @Xer, Thank you so much Xer! BTW, you are already MY hero! You are amazing! And, I do think you should write some memoirs, at the very least. Seriously. You have so much of value to share.

I do save a lot of my posts for future use- just in case. Besides, sometimes my posts get lost in cyberspace, and that can be maddening, unless I have saved them. LOL

The trolls won’t wear me down. I have a lot of patience and dedication for this issue/cause. I am busy though, and so I am not on this blog as much as I would like to be. However, I will continue to do what I can to help educate. It is the only way to really help the Kellys of the world. And, I am so heartbroken for Kelly and his family; I am truly in mourning. This is good therapy for me. And, I know that a lot more people read the posts than just the sociopathic trolls. So, we are educating a lot more people than we might realize. I actually couldn’t care less about all of the trolls, but they do give me an excuse to write about the things that I am passionate about.

I would love to get in touch with you sometime; perhaps I could try to ask admin to give you my e-mail. Have a good night Xer. Rest up for tomorrow.

        1. @Justice for ALL, you are going to turn my head with your flattery. lol But, thank you so much. 🙂

Admin certainly has my permission to forward you my e-mail addy. It would be fantastic for many of us to be able to keep contacts online when this is over. Suppose we could continue posting right here? And, when I finally make it down there I’d love to have you show us the sights It would also be great to see some of the places you work. Perhaps we could even have a small reunion of posters from here. Just not at the Slidebar, okay? 😎

          atb

      2. You really just need to open your eyes to the big picture every once in awhile. The trolls really don’t care about wearing anyone down, or relaying the wrong message. Most of us are really here because we know people aren’t basing their opinions and stances on facts, they are basing them on rumors and lies created to spark interest. Yes, we know someone died. Tragic. But we also know what happened in the incident, we know it wasn’t intentional, we know force was used, and we know it’s all being investigated. We also know that the police can’t make public statements, the city employees can’t make public statements, and all the evidence and power is in the DA’s hands. So if everyone here was basing their actions on fact it would be much different but most don’t have fact yet. Soon. That’s all. So yea, you are right, it’s tough but it’s not what you think it is with all your macho talk about beating the beasts. You will see soon enough. Until then, keep up the good work. Fullerton will never be the same and I actually do feel bad for the residents because they are the only ones that will suffer in the long term. Everyone else will move on and never been seen again.

        1. @Xer Cist, (aka the demon), The one thing you ARE correct about: “…Fullerton will never be the same…”

Fullerton is awake now and will do it’s best to remove the rot within that shames us all.

At some point, after you have bashed a person’s head into the curb hard enough, kicked, beaten and Tased a person long enough, and continued to bludgeon the head until the person is not responding, and then you still keep on bludgeoning and Tasing that person even after he is unconscious- you have to know that you are killing that person. This was no accident, by any reasonable standard. I am basing this on many witness statements, insider info, photos, videos, etc. We are all waiting to see the surveillance video, sickening as it will be. Until then, we are not about to let this incident just roll under the carpet and disappear.

Horrified, disgusted, terrified people, in fact, all people, have a right to express their opinions, and the right to try to make changes to a system that clearly failed. And, this incident is just the tip of the iceberg. There is a LOT of coverup going on, and we’re not about to let that happen.

No one is restrained by beating them on the head until dead. That is called malicious and willful murder. That is my opinion. My eyes are pretty wide open and I can see what is in plain sight- without need of your interpretation, but thanks anyway. As for “macho talk about beating the beasts..” I must be really tired, because I have absolutely no earthly idea what you are talking about.

I wish I could believe that you felt that the Thomas murder was “tragic.” You really don’t come across as very empathetic to me.

        2. Thats your opinion and the liars/Coverup artists you work for, i AM basing my opinions on the facts :
KT hospital photos, the videos I have heard/seen, the witnesses that have come forth and the history of the brutality by the arrogant Gestapo and what they’ve been allowed to get away with-now goosestep back to whoever your commandant is and make sure you give the Nazi salute then repeat what I said to that person-and dont forget to add- I just got acknowlegement from Austrailia and Canada regarding this case and the saturday rally- THIS IS NOT GOING AWAY AND NO ONE IS CALMING DOWN NO MATTER WHAT ANY OF YOU HEARTLESS DEVILS SAY OR THE CRAPOLA YOU TRY TO PUSH

        3. “The trolls really don’t care about wearing anyone down, or relaying the wrong message. Most of us are really here”

Hahahaha! Then you admit you are a troll!!

          Psych!!!!

You really just need to open your eyes to the big picture every once in awhile.

Interesting: In my lifetime I have studied California State History, American History, Middle Eastern History, and World History in general (from Ancient Babylonian, Mediterranean-Greek and Roman-History through Indian and East-Asian History. I have studied philosophy, the major religions, Human Cultures through the Humanities, Mythology and the ‘history’ (archeology and genetics) of the human species since before pre-apes periods. I gobble up National Geographics like your children (provided you have any) gobble up comic books, and I particularly enjoy the study of American Politics and Foreign Affairs. I’ve also learnt about the ‘history’ of the Earth, our Solar System, and the ‘history’ of the Universe from the Big Bang until the ultimate grey lukewarm soup it will eventually become. In my spare time I’ve pursued knowledge of String Theory, M-Theory, and the Multiverse.

From the day I first recognized I was an individual separate from the other children I interacted with (yes, I’ve learned a little about psychology along the way too) until this day my mind has been an insatiable sponge looking for something new to learn. I am never satisfied with how little I know and am profoundly aware of how woefully inadequate my knowledge and understanding are. So, exactly how large a “big picture” would you like me to “open [my] eyes” to?

Since I’ve such a limited grasp of big pictures, perhaps you could explain in some detail the “big picture” want to educate me about? I will be your willing disciple until I’ve sucked all the knowledge out of your brain, if you will but impart your vast wisdom to me. However, perhaps before describing your “Big picture to me,” you could provide a brief analysis on what you believe would be the similarities and/or differences in American Foreign Policies in ten years based on, say, whether Christine O’donnel is elected next US President, or John Huntsman, or if, Obama stays in the Oval Office? Forgive my curiosity, but since you understand the “Big Picture” so well you would be bestowing a wonderful blessing on me with your beneficent understanding. It would really be good to know before the next election who we should vote for, oh Great Swami?

  102. It happens daily if you didn’t know. Here’s another one for you all to head over too. Another homeless schizo left dead and naked by the cops. Be loud and be heard!! Send the B team over for the recall!!

CATHEDRAL CITY (CBS) — A man who had been escorted, naked, by police from the lobby of a downtown Cathedral City motel scuffled with officers an hour later, and then died at Desert Springs Hospital, Cathedral City police said Sunday.

The man, whose name and age has not been released, was first spotted causing a disturbance inside the lobby of an undisclosed motel at 10:35 p.m. Saturday.

Cathedral City officers responded to a call from the innkeeper, escorted the naked man outside and helped him get dressed, police Lt. Glen Haas said.

About an hour later, officers were called to the Cathedral City Auto Center in the 68100 block of East Palm Canyon Drive and found the same man lying on the sidewalk, wearing only shorts, Haas said.

The man tried to run away when he saw the officers, but he was subdued and handcuffed when he attempted to resist.

“Shortly after handcuffing the subject, officers saw that the subject appeared to have labored breathing,” Haas said. “Officers attempted to assist the subject until paramedics arrived.

“Paramedics treated and transported the subject to Desert Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased,” Haas said.

The district attorney’s office is investigating the circumstances of the case

  103. Some punk here in Florida got 40 years for stabbing a homeless man. I wonder what six rogue cops will get in California for beating one to death?

    1. 6 cops didn’t beat him to death. 2 cops were in the initial fight and 4 arrived as it came to an end. 4 cops won’t get anything and 2 might get something minor, if at all.

      1. “..as it came to an end..” You mean as Kelly’s life came to an end. Don’t be afraid of the truth. The other officers held Kelly down, aided and abetted. They did nothing to stop the murder of Kelly Thomas. They are also guilty. Whether, or not, they are charged- is another matter.

  104. @justice for all..ur right. i don’t want to deal with the dirty, crazy, stinky homeless people. i do not want them anywhere near my home, kids, family or places i go. i do not know a single person that wants the homeless anywhere near them thus i pay alot and work alot of overtime so i don’thave to see them… try going to fashion island in newport, never seen a nasty homeless person roaming around that area.

as far as mental illness, u have alot of excuses. the pet team does respond 24/7 but if u have ever dealt with them, its difficult for them to ever take anyone. if they do they go to costa mesa and usually get out within 24 hours..
to address ur issue with family trying to transport and the child gets out and runs in the street….o well, if then that is whats in their fate. it sounds as if u want to dump the problems of the crazy homeless into the lap of the police or pet team. which is only a 24 hour fix. then peopl see them and call pd angain and the process starts all over again.

its nice u help out with homeless but why can’t you take them to ur home and help out and get them off the streets so people like me and many others won’t have to see or deal with them being as u r so highly trained.

the bottom line is….nobody wanted the homeless guy around them so they called the police to make the problem go away. if the cops would have done nothing or called out the pet team, he would have been roaming around doing the same thing withing a short amount of time. then the cycle will repeat itself…

please answer a few questions that still make no sense to me…

    1. why can’t u, along with all your protester buddies help out and house these people or relocate them to a shelter? it is so disgusting to even have them near or my kids, half of them are drunk, dirty, have defecated on themselfs and are to put it lightly, full of germs & bacteria and possible contageous infections, then they hang around the park where kids play, babies learning to walk, touch things , put their hands in their mouth.

    2. how can the thomas family claim to have so much sorrow, when they in fact restrained kelly which clearly indicates they did not want him around them or their home. yes maybe sad because its a death of a person, but clearly they did not want him anywhere near them.

    3. all these people who have stepped up and hang around at the police department all day with signs, have u ever tried to have each person donate THEIR time & money to help the homeless. maybe instead of them sitting there all day hating the police, they could use that whole day to participate in habitat for homeless. use the money they spent on the signs, even if it was a dollar, to go to the market and buy bulk food for them. offer their home to let these people take a shower???? since they care so much about crazy, dirty, stinky homeless…

and i have found that the majority of people that hate police are the people that are all screwed up and get into trouble, the people that wanted to be cops but could not cut it and some bleeding heart liberals who wants to complain about everything and bad mouth our country but yet if its so awful in the usa, then they should move elsewhere……

    1. “and i have found that the majority of people that hate police are the people that are all screwed up and get into trouble, the people that wanted to be cops but could not cut it and some bleeding heart liberals who wants to complain about everything and bad mouth our country but yet if its so awful in the usa, then they should move elsewhere……”

And I have found that this is the most comical statement yet written on this thread.

    2. FP – SO BASICALLY YOU JUST WROTE THE COPS THAT KILLED KELLY THOMAS DID THE COMMUNITY A FAVOR. YOU’RE REALLY SCREWED UP IN THE HEAD.

    3. @fullerton people, just because you “…work a lot of overtime so I don’t have to see them” does not make the problem magically disappear, and it does nothing to solve the problem. If you go to Fashion Island, or Balboa Island in Newport Beach, you WILL see the homeless and the mentally ill, if you open your eyes a little bit more. No, there might not be as many, but they are there, nonetheless. All of your denial and wishing and hoping for a sterile environment where you don’t ever have to see “dirty, crazy, stinky homeless people” is just not reality. It’s people like you who treat stray animals (and wild bears, lions and tigers who get loose in populated areas) much more humanely, and with more respect, than you do a fellow human being who is suffering with a debilitating brain disease.

If the mentally ill person that you see on the street had brain cancer, or a traumatic brain injury from an accident, and his mind was destroyed and no longer functioning properly, would you perhaps have more sympathy and empathy for him? You need to realize that mentally ill people are just exactly that. Devastatingly ILL. They have brain disorders. In fact, some of them may actually have huge arachnoid cysts, or tumors inside their brains, or they may have sustained injuries that are causing some of their symptoms. But, no one takes the time or money, or effort to do the MRIs, etc. to find out the real cause of their illness. Instead, the mentally ill are just lumped into the category of “dirty, crazy, stinky homeless people,” by other people- just like yourself.

The mentally ill need and deserve respect and help. They do not deserve to be called “dirty, crazy, stinky homeless people.” Your lack of empathy and respect is appalling. Your lack of desire to help anyone other than yourself is very sad and selfish and it shows the state of your bankrupt soul.

The problems associated with mental illness will not just go away by themselves, no matter how hard you try to ignore the reality of those problems.
You say that I have …”a lot of excuses.” Excuse me? You say that I have a lot of excuses??? At least I try to help, and I don’t make excuses such as they are just “dirty, crazy, stinky homeless people.” At least I don’t use any of your excuses such as “…it is difficult for them to ever take everyone. If they do they go to costa mesa and usually get out within 24 hours..” {sic} or, “…full of germs & bacteria and possible contagious infections…” I, at least, would never, in a million years, consider using your excuses to try to justify abuse, neglect, and murder. BTW, a 5150 WIC is a 72 hour hold, not a 24 hour hold.
      “to address ur issue with family trying to transport and the child gets out and runs in the street…o well, if then that is whats in their fate.” It sounds as if u want to dump the problems of the crazy homeless onto the lap of the police or pet team. Which isonly a 24 hour fix. Then people see them and call pd again and the process starts all over again.”{sic}

Apparently, you would treat wild animals and the endangered Delta Smelt in the San Joaquin Delta, better than you do the mentally ill and homeless. You would rather protect a tiny little fish, the Delta Smelt (which is a non-indigenous fish by the way), and let the farm fields and orchards wither and die, which previously had been flourishing there for hundreds of years. You would rather let the bread basket of America be destroyed, and cause our food prices to skyrocket, and force us to import our vegetables from foreign countries, and cause a high unemployment rate in the area, (which increases homelessness by the way)- rather than let the water be used to irrigate the crops and orchards.

There are those who would rather let HUMAN BEINGS starve and be dependent on welfare and food bank programs…rather than let a tiny, non-indigenous fish- the Delta Smelt, be squished in the water pumps.

      I wish that you had the same lack of concern for the “fate” of the Delta Smelt as you do for the mentally ill. Per your statement: ““…o well, if then that is whats in their fate.” {sic}

But, no, people like you are just fine with the Kellys of the world being ground up by LE and destroyed in the “water pumps” of society- so that you don’t have to see them, but OH NO!- wait, you MUST save the Delta Smelt! But HUMAN BEINGS, high employment, drought, the destruction of farms and orchards, foreclosures, and homelessness be damned!!

You’re most likely the type who cares more about a tiny, inedible fish than you do about starving, suffering, people without homes, food or jobs-let alone the mentally ill people.

      You state: “ It sounds as if u want to dump the problems of the crazy homeless into the lap of the police or pet {sic} team. which is only a 24 hour fix. then peopl see them and call pd angain and the process starts all over again.” {sic}

No, I don’t, however, you need to realize that the police officers are PAID public servants, and they DO come in contact with the mentally ill and homeless and the public in general, every single day. We have a right to expect the officers to treat the public with respect and dignity and to provide everyone with their constitutionally guaranteed right of Due Process of Law. The way that our system currently works, more than 2/3’s of mentally ill people are not receiving any treatment. Until that fact changes, the officers are going to have their hands full. The fact that so many untreated, and under-treated, mentally ill people are on the streets does NOT excuse brutality or murder.

Yes, go back to your pool and golfing or whatever, and go back to blaming everyone else for “the dirty, crazy, stinky, homeless people,” and just pretend that all the problems of the world don’t exist, or that they can be fixed overnight without any effort or compassion for human suffering on your part. That will fix everything.

      Question #1) why can’t u, along with all your protester buddies help out and house these people or relocate them to a shelter? {sic}

Answer: A lot of people, myself included, do volunteer work, and are MUCH more sympathetic to the plight of the mentally ill and homeless population than you would appear to be, based on your judgmental comments which demonstrate a great intolerance for those who are different from yourself. However, it is not possible for all mentally ill people to live at my home, no matter how nice that might be. But, maybe you could tell me where you live, then I could buy a home right next to your house and then you and I, together, could house a lot more people. What do you think? I’m sure you are willing to help. (Don’t worry, I realize that you have absolutely no intention of helping anyone other than yourself.)

Funny you should ask though, since I AM in the process of researching the possibility of opening a residential facility for those suffering from severe mental illness. Even then, a facility that I open will most likely only be able to handle up to 50 or maybe 100 people max. Now, how about you? Do you still just expect everyone else to solve the entire problem, or are you willing to do your share? Do you realize that 3500 new cases of schizophrenia are diagnosed every year? Do you think that I am going to be able to solve the entire problem by myself?? Or, are you just pleased every time another mentally ill human being is tortured and murdered on the streets, because then you no longer have to deal with that particular disabled person?

      Question #2)
      “How can the Thomas family claim to have so much sorrow, when they in fact restrained Kelly which clearly indicates they did not want him around them or their home. Yes maybe sad because its a death of a person, but clearly they did not want him anywhere near them.” {sic}
Answer: And, just for you, who evidently didn’t care enough to even read through my last answer to this same question, before you asked the same question over AGAIN:
      Here goes:
In order for parents to get their adult child hospitalized for longer than 72 hours, they have to sign an affidavit or a restraining order stating that the child/adult is not able to live at their home. This is in order to show that the mentally ill person is “gravely disabled” and that he has nowhere to live, and that he cannot provide food, clothing or shelter for himself.

If the parents don’t do this, then the doctor and the court appointed advocate will often say that the person is NOT “gravely disabled” since they have family who will/can take care of them, and they will then release them back out onto the street, after just three days, which is long before they have had adequate treatment. Signing such a statement, and not allowing your child to come home, is one of the most heart and gut wrenching things that a parent must do, but if you talk to a mental health attorney, you will learn that they will advise you that it MUST be done in order to get involuntary, inpatient treatment and confinement. PLEASE take a NAMI course so you can understand this more clearly.

      Question #3)
      All these people who have stepped up and hang around at the police department all day with signs, have u ever tried to have each person donate THEIR time & money to help the homeless. Maybe instead of them sitting there all day hating the police, they could use that whole day to participate in habitat for homeless. Use the money they spent on the signs, even if it was a dollar, to go to the market and buy bulk food for them. Offer their home to let these people take a shower??? Since they care so much about crazy, dirty, stinky homeless….” {sic}

Answer: First of all, the people who are protesting about Kelly’s death and many other instances of brutality are NOT protesting against “crazy, dirty, stinky homeless people…” They ARE protesting against POLICE BRUTALITY, EXCESSIVE FORCE, and CORRUPTION. They COULD and most likely DO a lot of good things to help the mentally ill and Habit for Humanity, etc.

I spend a LOT of my own money preparing full course meals, and delivering and serving them to the mentally ill each week. I get up at 6am, cook all morning, and then deliver the food so they can have a hot lunch. I may take up a collection at a future protest, or collect clothing, or bring lunches to feed the homeless, but all of that is really BESIDE THE POINT OF THE PROTESTS.

Spending the day working on a Habitat for Humanity home is NOT going to rid the Fullerton and Orange County public servants of the corruption and sociopaths who feel that it is somehow justifiable to beat someone to death.

What happened to Kelly Thomas could happen to any of us, whether you realize it, or admit it- or not. The issue is NOT homelessness, NOR mental illness. The issue we are protesting is THE UNLAWFUL DEATH OF KELLY THOMAS!! The issue IS the lack of compassion, integrity, honesty, education and morals of our public servants, who have sworn to “protect and serve.”

The protesters that you see no longer have faith in law enforcement, and until the city council, mayor, and law enforcement start policing themselves, admitting when they are wrong, and admitting that there is a huge problem, and start holding those evil doers accountable- the outrage will continue.

It is not against the law to have a mental illness; it IS against the law to abuse and murder someone who has a mental illness. And, there but for the grace of God, go I, -or you, or one of your loved ones. Don’t be so arrogant to think that it could never happen to you. It has already happened to a LOT of other people besides Kelly Thomas. Kelly was the “straw that broke the camel’s back.”

      Your final paragraph reads: “and I have found that the majority of people that hate police are the people that are all screwed up and get into trouble, the people that wanted to be cops but could not cut it and some bleeding heart liberals who wants to complain about everything and bad mouth our country but yet if its so awful in the usa, then they should move elsewhere….” {sic}

Answer: Concerning this issue of police brutality, you couldn’t be more wrong. This is an issue that affects EVERYONE, not just the “bleeding heart liberals.”

I, personally, have never wanted to be a “cop;” however, I have always respected “honest, respectful, educated, officers of the law who have integrity.” My husband is a retired Navy pilot who comes from a family with many who have served in the Air Force, Army and Navy and I am very far away from being the type that “bad mouths” our great country. However, I do have a problem with conspiracy and cover-ups. I do have a problem with collusion to conceal a crime. I do have a problem with blaming victims of mental illness for their own murders.

People who suffer from mental illness, (as well as many other people who are not ill), have been targeted by corrupt officers, (and by a corrupt culture in law enforcement), for abuse- at the hands of those who should be protecting them.
By turning a blind eye to wrong doing, by your lack of compassion for others, by your blind loyalty to the FPD or others, by your ignorance, and by your inability to be outraged by injustices to fellow human beings, you are condoning the brutality, abuse and corruption-that other citizens are rightly standing up against.

I don’t have any desire to move elsewhere; I want to clean up the place where I live, and I plan to help do just that.

    4. fullerton people on August 22, 2011

i don’t want to deal with the dirty, crazy, stinky homeless people. i do not want them anywhere near my home, kids, family or places i go. i do not know a single person that wants the homeless anywhere near them thus i pay alot and work alot of overtime so i don’thave to see them…
….. the majority of people that hate police are the people that are all screwed up and get into trouble, the people that wanted to be cops but could not cut it and some bleeding heart liberals who wants to complain about everything and bad mouth our country but yet if its so awful in the usa, then they should move elsewhere……

Edmund Burke: Those who don’t know history are destined to repeat it.

It sounds like you are the one who has problems with the USA. You have problems with the Constitution and Bill of Rights. I’m curious if you have ever read either. You might benefit from taking a Political Science or Civics class. You could take one at your local two year college fairly inexpensively. Think of it this way: A two year, A.A. degree would make you more employable so you would be more rapidly promoted at work. It’s a win-win for you.

The reason for the Edmund Burke quote above is because what you posted above could have been torn from the pages of Mein Kamph. Too many people over the years have over used both the words Love and Nazi until neither has real significance of meaning any longer. But you, my friend would truly make Hitler proud, as you’ve probably never even read his autobiographical work. Again, I am curious, have you ever read any biographies or autobiographies? A simple question. Try getting hold of copies of biographies of such luminous American thinkers as Thomas Jefferson, Alexander Hamilton, James Madison, George Washington, Raymond Burr, and Benjamin Franklin. There are others, but the ones mentioned here first are in my opinion more important to be read first. You can find copies in your local public library. Ask the librarian to help you find Middle School level copies. Those will be easy to read rapidly, and at this point it is important for you to pack as much as possible between your ears, as you seem terribly uninformed. Later you can go back and study in greater depth about whichever is most interesting to you after learning something. You will very likely find you actually enjoy reading the biographies above. It will not be as much fun to read, but you would also benefit by familiarizing yourself with Calvinism as it had an impact on early life in the Colonies, and had much to do with instigating the SALEM Witch Trials. Perhaps, someday you may be able to read and grasp the significance of the thought in Mein Kamph. You are nowhere near ready yet to understand the horrors you are touting in your posts, an odd admixture of Calvansim and Hitlerian philosophy.

Let me make this quote once more because it is so relevant to your beliefs: Those who don’t know history are destined to repeat it _Edmund Burke

What frightens me most isn’t that you may be a cop, may be defending brutal murderers (or even be one). What frightens me most is you are trying to spread these terrible beliefs at a time in history when homelessness is exploding more rapidly than any time since the Great Depression. This is very frightening indeed.

Though not @Justice for All, I can respond to a couple of your thoughts briefly. You are correct homeless people are dirty and so unhealthy. Their plight is a travesty and huge blemish on the face of America to the rest of the world. The discrepancy between what we preach to the world and what we practice at home makes us look as the world’s greatest hypocrites. We need to provide shelters and medical care for our homeless. We need to create jobs for those who want to and are able to work, and we need to provide care for those who can’t. This is a time in American history that will be written as a dark period. But most important immediately is to insure that no one, not homeless people, not me, and not you can be mercilessly beaten to death in the streets of America. The only way to insure this is to bring to justice the criminals who disgraced their badges, their city, and the USA by smashing the life out of Thomas Kelly in a gutter. I will not go down in history. Neither will you, but I guarantee Kelly Thomas will. Let’s try and see to it there are no more innocents in Fullerton to soon join Kelly in the pages of history.

      All the Best,
      Xer

  105. Great work people! Keep up the pressure.

    NO JUSTICE NO PEACE!

Wouldn’t it be great if we could get a report each day to see how many names were posted under the same IP; one can dream.

It is excellent entertainment watching “it” respond to himself. I bet he is 98% of the trolledge that roams this blog. He and the one hysterical woman who claims she isn’t hysterical.

  106. fullerton people :@justice for all..ur right. i don’t want to deal with the dirty, crazy, stinky homeless people. i do not want them anywhere near my home, kids, family or places i go. i do not know a single person that wants the homeless anywhere near them thus i pay alot and work alot of overtime so i don’thave to see them… try going to fashion island in newport, never seen a nasty homeless person roaming around that area.
as far as mental illness, u have alot of excuses. the pet team does respond 24/7 but if u have ever dealt with them, its difficult for them to ever take anyone. if they do they go to costa mesa and usually get out within 24 hours..to address ur issue with family trying to transport and the child gets out and runs in the street….o well, if then that is whats in their fate. it sounds as if u want to dump the problems of the crazy homeless into the lap of the police or pet team. which is only a 24 hour fix. then peopl see them and call pd angain and the process starts all over again.
its nice u help out with homeless but why can’t you take them to ur home and help out and get them off the streets so people like me and many others won’t have to see or deal with them being as u r so highly trained.
the bottom line is….nobody wanted the homeless guy around them so they called the police to make the problem go away. if the cops would have done nothing or called out the pet team, he would have been roaming around doing the same thing withing a short amount of time. then the cycle will repeat itself…
please answer a few questions that still make no sense to me…
    1. why can’t u, along with all your protester buddies help out and house these people or relocate them to a shelter? it is so disgusting to even have them near or my kids, half of them are drunk, dirty, have defecated on themselfs and are to put it lightly, full of germs & bacteria and possible contageous infections, then they hang around the park where kids play, babies learning to walk, touch things , put their hands in their mouth.
    2. how can the thomas family claim to have so much sorrow, when they in fact restrained kelly which clearly indicates they did not want him around them or their home. yes maybe sad because its a death of a person, but clearly they did not want him anywhere near them.
    3. all these people who have stepped up and hang around at the police department all day with signs, have u ever tried to have each person donate THEIR time & money to help the homeless. maybe instead of them sitting there all day hating the police, they could use that whole day to participate in habitat for homeless. use the money they spent on the signs, even if it was a dollar, to go to the market and buy bulk food for them. offer their home to let these people take a shower???? since they care so much about crazy, dirty, stinky homeless…
and i have found that the majority of people that hate police are the people that are all screwed up and get into trouble, the people that wanted to be cops but could not cut it and some bleeding heart liberals who wants to complain about everything and bad mouth our country but yet if its so awful in the usa, then they should move elsewhere……

I couldnt have said this better myself. Unfortuately, people don’t care unless they’re going to get something in return; they had a similiar thing happen to them; or liberal….

    1. @ outraged, I believe you are right. You don’t care about anyone else, unless you are going to get something in return. You have no idea what it means to volunteer, or care about anyone else other than yourself. Please read my response to fullerton people above for a more complete answer.

  107. Do you ignorant predudice Jackals understand what everyone is trying to accomplish by “hanging out with our signs”? helllloo.
This is not about moving the homeless or even feeding them -especially just to satisfy you, this is about JUSTICE FOR KELLY THOMAS AND HIS MURDER-KELLY THOMAS, NOT EVERYONE IN THE UNIVERSE
If you guys are so turned off by homeless folk in general then why dont you take it upon yourselves to house them, bathe them and feed them- oh and heres a novel thought that you keep telling us, dont judge everyone by one or two bad experiances you’ve had.
And, can you stick you noses any higher in the air? arrogant fucks.
It could be you like that one day. and Im not even a liberal-just human with ethics

God is going to get you -karma.

  108. @merijoe, i am sure u did not give a crap about kelly when he was alive. justice is what u want? what is justice, death penalty for the officers?????
so even if that happens how does that make anything better????
people will still call police when they see homeless and ur right i will keep my nose in the air and keep my kids far away from any homeless person in fear that may catch something.
if all the people hanging around holding signs used all that energy, time & money to go build a habitat for humanity or raise money to help them i would think that would be justice for kelly.
it seems u have an opinion for all this. so without using curse words please answer the questions i listed above.

and can u please explain to me, why its a novel idea to ask why u and many other people that claim to be so devestated over this, to open ur homes and pocket book up to a homeless person???….

and please don’t ask me to do it. i want nothing to do with a homeless person but then again i am not sitting in front on the police department holding up a sign all day. whenever i see a homeless person wondering the parks or in my personal neighborhood, u bet i will call the police in hopes to get them away from me & my family. and if i turn out to be some crazy homeless in my future then i guess thats what is meant to be and i will have to deal with it???

once again please be civil, no need to name call & use profanity….

    1. I don’t speak for marijoe but I want to touch on some of your comments.

“i am sure u did not give a crap about kelly when he was alive. justice is what u want?”

The vast majority of us want justice whenever somebody is murdered whether we gave a crap personally about that person or not. For instance even you probably wanted justice for 9/11. Even though you didn’t give a crap about the majority of victims when they were alive. I want justice for every firefighter, police officer, janitor, or investment banker involved in 9/11. Didn’t even know a single one of them.

“what is justice, death penalty for the officers?????”

Is that usually the sentence for murder 2? Most of us want to see them get the same penalty that the rest of us might get for beating somebody to death. Some here may want more because law officers should be held to a higher standard because of the power & authority & trust they are given and the attempted coverup afterward.

“so even if that happens how does that make anything better????”

Read this really slowly so you can understand: when people who beat other people to death get punished, other people will usually think twice before beating somebody to death. When those people are police and are used to getting away with stuff like this and they see that from now on they will be getting punished, they will be more likely to avoid behavior like this in the future. You know…the whole concept behind actually having penalties for doing bad things? Seriously, do you advocate that all criminals be released from jail immediately? Well your logic sure does.

“if all the people hanging around holding signs used all that energy, time & money to go build a habitat for humanity or raise money to help them i would think that would be justice for kelly.”

That’s a great idea. Thankfully the father will be using the settlement money to help the homeless through the Kelly Thomas Foundation. That, along with jailtime for the killers will indeed be justice for Kelly, if there is such a thing for a murder victim.

“and can u please explain to me, why its a novel idea to ask why u and many other people that claim to be so devestated over this, to open ur homes and pocket book up to a homeless person???”

It looks like you are trying to say our only 2 choices are either accept and beating deaths or else take in homeless people. This isn’t what you really believe is it? Please clear that up for us.

      1. Wow Stud Lee, great post.

Way to take his complete backwards logic and use it against him. I wouldn’t expect a response from him after that…at least not a very well thought out one.

  109. “if its so awful in the usa, then they should move
    elsewhere……”

That sounds like something a p*ssy would do. You would have protested the war for independence and fighting back against the Japanese in WW2 had you been alive during those eras, wouldn’t you? These would be your quotes:

–“If you don’t like British oppression then move elsewhere.”

–“If you don’t like getting bombed in Pearl Harbor then move to a different state.”

At some point in time American people inevitably decide they aren’t going to take this crap anymore.

    1. Thank you Stud Lee, I’m afraid my answers are not nearly as succinct as yours. I think I’ll just let you answer the ignorant trolls from now on…LOL

    2. Stud Lee, it’s already been said by others in other words, but if I may add my voice to the chorus, Great posts! Thank you.

  111. Do any of you people have jobs?
None of you people were around to help this person or give him a place to live… Now his parents and family will be millionaires.
Lets not forget his mother had a 5 year restraining order out on him and his father gave up conservator ship because it was “ too much work, took too much of his time and cost him money”
Don’t break the law be a contributing citizen and the FPD will not bother you.

    1. Unless I’m wrong, most police work involves people ACCUSED OF violating the law.

Therefore, according to your twisted, perverted logic, anyone beaten, raped, humiliated or murdered by the cops has it coming since they chose to not be a “contributing citizen” under your definition. Do I have that right, soulless loser?

    2. What country do you reside in?? It’s certainly not the United States. Let me try to educate you, Rocky (I know it won’t be easy, based on our post):

      1) All American have the right to protest and be outraged (the Constitution does not apply only to the employed).

      2) Whether the people reacting to this story ever met Kelly Thomas or his father, have ever been to Fullerton, or have every donated their time or money has absolutely NOTHING to do with the police action the day he was put into a coma (from which he died).

      3) Civil rights and basic humanity are afforded to all of our citizens, whether they have been accused of a crime or not. You would think police officers, of all people, would know the law. (By the way, not that it even matters, but there has been no evidence that Kelly broke into any cars that night.)

      4) The FPD has no right to “bother you” (i.e. — brutally kill you) no matter what they think you have done. The death penalty is given under only certain cases and only through a court of law.

  112. #396 : 100000000% agree !!!!!! Homeless dude’s parents out on TV, crying and how much you love your son bullshit !!!! You the PARENTS KILLED your own son long ass time ago. All you see is f@#kin MONEY on your face, don’t ya ??
90% of those damn losers out on streets doing protesting have no f@#kin clue why they’re prostesting. Most of yall probably got rolled for DUI or speeding tickets or some stupid shit which you did, so this might be perfect time to go out and say f#ck the police, right ?

    1. @Rocky and JO, I am reposting a previous post from above to try to answer some of your questions. I’ll be glad to post more to clear up your misconceptons. Please pay particular attention to the answer to #2 below.

      “to address ur issue with family trying to transport and the child gets out and runs in the street…o well, if then that is whats in their fate.” It sounds as if u want to dump the problems of the crazy homeless onto the lap of the police or pet team. Which isonly a 24 hour fix. Then people see them and call pd again and the process starts all over again.”{sic}

      I wish that you had the same lack of concern for the “fate” of the Delta Smelt as you do for the mentally ill. Per your statement: ““…o well, if then that is whats in their fate.” {sic}

      You state: “ It sounds as if u want to dump the problems of the crazy homeless into the lap of the police or pet {sic} team. which is only a 24 hour fix. then peopl see them and call pd angain and the process starts all over again.” {sic}

      Question #1) why can’t u, along with all your protester buddies help out and house these people or relocate them to a shelter? {sic}

      “How can the Thomas family claim to have so much sorrow, when they in fact restrained Kelly which clearly indicates they did not want him around them or their home. Yes maybe sad because its a death of a person, but clearly they did not want him anywhere near them.” {sic}

      All these people who have stepped up and hang around at the police department all day with signs, have u ever tried to have each person donate THEIR time & money to help the homeless. Maybe instead of them sitting there all day hating the police, they could use that whole day to participate in habitat for homeless. Use the money they spent on the signs, even if it was a dollar, to go to the market and buy bulk food for them. Offer their home to let these people take a shower??? Since they care so much about crazy, dirty, stinky homeless….” {sic}

      Your final paragraph reads: “and I have found that the majority of people that hate police are the people that are all screwed up and get into trouble, the people that wanted to be cops but could not cut it and some bleeding heart liberals who wants to complain about everything and bad mouth our country but yet if its so awful in the usa, then they should move elsewhere….” {sic}

    2. P.S. I haven’t had so much as even a speeding ticket-EVER. This protest is NOT about the parents. It IS about Kelly Thomas, who was brutally beaten to death under the color of authority.

    3. Quit your lying, please, and horrible inferences. You have no knowledge firsthand about this family, mental illness, or the life of Kelly Thomas.

Let’s stick to the facts: he was killed by the physical trauma inflicted by six FPD officers. This case has absolutely NOTHING to do with money and everything to do with police brutality. Kelly was killed by these cops regardless of Ron’s motivation, pure or not.

Also, his name was not “homeless dude.” You insisting to take his name away and refer to him in this way is your pathetic attempt to diminish him as a human being and minimize the loss of life.

In short, “asshole dude,” you suck as a human being. Go drown kittens or whatever you do for “fun.”

    4. wow.. You sure will have a sad little life with that piss poor attitude and such a limited capacity for reason. A product of a failed school system and/or poor parenting I suppose. With such a complete lack of compassion and social skills I think your mommy should send you outside to play more with real human beings.instead of wanking in front of the computer all day. Oh well, maybe your job in life will be to set a bad example. Good luck to you!

Thompson for Mayor’s Lesson Learned: “Don’t smoke”

REALITY BASED LESSON #1 LEARNED: LE ALWAYS BLAMES THE VICTIM

Don’t ever be unfortunate enough to have a brain disease such as paranoid schizophrenia-Law Enforcement do not pay attention in their NAMI classes and do not understand mental health issues.

      INFORMATION RE: SMOKING AND SCHIZOPHRENIA

Most sufferers of paranoid schizophrenia smoke because it helps to alleviate anxiety and it also helps improve cognitive functioning.

“The high use of nicotine in patients with schizophrenia has also been attributed to nicotine lessening the side effects of some antipsychotic medications. One article noted that “there have been indications that nicotine can reverse the memory problems and slowness of thought induced by a commonly used medicine, haloperidol” (Watts, 2003). There has been some evidence that this is the case, but it seems that the major reason for nicotine use in those with schizophrenia is due to the benefits it can have relating to the disease specifically. One of the reasons that nicotine is thought to have the effect that it does is that it mimics the neurotransmitter acetylcholine. The nicotine does this by attaching to receptors (receptors are specific areas on the surfaces of cells that “act as molecular switches”), and therefore increases the activity of acetylcholine receptors. This gives one the feelings that they have after they have smoked a cigarette or had any other form of nicotine.”

Patients with schizophrenia smoke at 3x the rate of the general population.

Some studies show prevalence rates as high as 90%

Looking at the specific research, one study done by Yale University “found that when study subjects with schizophrenia stopped smoking, attention and short-term memory were more impaired, but, when they started smoking again, their cognitive function improved. No effects from stopping or resuming smoking were observed in smokers without mental illness” (Yale University, 2005). Another report from Columbia University further supports the idea the smoking (or, specifically, nicotine) helps in concentration.

Thompson for Mayor’s Lesson Learned: “don’t wrestle with cops”

REALITY BASED LESSON #2 LEARNED: LE ALWAYS, ALWAYS BLAMES THE VICTIM- EVEN, AND/OR ESPECIALLY WHEN THE PERSON IS DISABLED WITH A BRAIN DISEASE

Even if an officer intentionally provokes you- a paranoid mentally ill man, into running for your life, by making the threat that, “These are the hands that are going to beat your ASS,” don’t try to defend your own life against abuse, assault, torture, and ultimately murder, by those committing these crimes against you under color of authority.
Don’t writhe in uncontrollable pain and agony, for heaven’s sake-don’t scream that you are sorry for running in fear or for writhing in pain, or for screaming uncontrollably in pain and fear, don’t scream for help, don’t scream for God or your dad to help you after you skull has been bashed into the concrete curb. Don’t try to defend your life against officers who are using excessive force and torture by repeatedly kicking you and Tasing you after you are already face down on the cement and hog tied.

And, when you are FINALLY unconscious and motionless, and you are still being Tased and bludgeoned with the butt end of a Taser until you are brain dead, and the brutal, vicious bludgeoning causes your blood to spray all over the hands and arms of the accomplices who are aiding and abetting, and you are finally taken to the hospital in a coma from which recovery is not possible- don’t even think for one moment that the D.A., mayor, council members, or other officers working under the code of silence will see to it that justice will be done on your behalf.

MORE REALITY BASED LIFE LESSONS AFTER KELLY THOMAS’ DEATH:
Witnesses and citizens who are horrified and outraged by this vicious torture and willful murder of a vulnerable disabled man WILL cause a mighty outcry for justice.

It will be very difficult to find men of true integrity in office who will not betray the public trust; this is due to the conflict of interest caused by powerful union money, influence and cronyism.

It will be very difficult to have charges brought against, or to get convictions against the guilty for their willful and malicious crimes against a vulnerable human being, no matter how overwhelming and compelling the evidence might be. The evidence will most likely be altered, or not released at all- by those who have “too much to lose”, or who think that by not releasing the evidence that citizens will eventually go back to sleep, or forget Kelly Thomas entirely.

No matter what the criminal charges, or the lack of criminal charges-Kelly Thomas WILL be remembered in death.

Kelly Thomas’ screams for mercy and help, even though now silenced in life, WILL continue to be heard around the world, and WILL reverberate LOUDLY in the consciences and memories of all men and women who seek justice.

Kelly’s willful murder by those hiding behind badges of authority WILL inspire citizens to be even more vigilant in protecting their constitutional rights from abuse- by tyrants, both foreign and domestic.

No man is above the law, no matter what the uniform or badge he wears.

Until good officers PUBLICALLY REVILE AND RENOUNCE and REMOVE and CHARGE and PROSECUTE the evil within their ranks, ALL officers will be suspected of having the same evil mentality that would harm a disabled man who is begging for his life.

Kelly suffered from paranoid schizophrenia. Like others who suffer from this same disease, he was more than likely very paranoid, confused and suffering from disorganized thinking and cognitive deficits- including short term memory loss. He very likely had problems interpreting peoples’ motives, conversations, facial cues, body language and events correctly.
Despite suffering from this debilitating, disorienting, confusing and truly frightening brain disease and despite living with discrimination, misunderstanding and hatred constantly being directed towards him and despite trying to survive on the streets without security, food or shelter-Kelly didn’t give up.

Kelly Thomas lived his life as bravely as he could, while battling his inner demons, despite everything going against him. He didn’t commit suicide as do 10 percent of people who suffer from schizophrenia. No, Kelly begged for his life, up until the very last moment- when oxygen deprivation to the brain, (likely caused by blunt trauma to his head and neck from bludgeoning and knee drops to his nose, head and neck, and likely also by the holds that were used on him by officers), caused him to lose consciousness. BUT FOR the merciless, deadly beating inflicted by the officers, (despite Kelly’s screams for mercy), Kelly would still be alive today.

By his death at the hands of law enforcement officers, Kelly Thomas is an unwilling hero who has finally brought a bright light to shine on the atrocities and brutalities that have been committed by evil men under the color of authority, not only in Fullerton, but in every state across our great nation.

Kelly Thomas’ name IS a rallying cry for due process, transparency, truth, mercy, justice, life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness FOR ALL.

Cries for justice WILL be heard.

  113. Rocky :

Don’t break the law be a contributing citizen and the FPD will not bother you.

Now beating a citizen into a coma is just called “bother you”

  114. Fullerton People #221
You are a truly sociopathic individual, no empathy, you have the emotional development of a reptile. Unfortunately I have professionally worked with people like you, including your fellow sufferers, the six policemen, who on video and infront of 80 witnesses beat Kelly into a coma which led to his death. Your combative hostility very probably extends to the rest of humanity, and I feel sorry for those who have to deal with you. I have fortunately dealt with patients like Kelly. He did not chose to be mentally ill and homeless and was not a mere object to be dehumanized and cast off, like garbage, and because he may have offended you by his very existence. Medication and psychiatric care could have made a great difference in Kelly’s quality of life, and also in his behaviour. Kelly was a victim of a dysfunctional mental healthcare system in this country. In the 1970s psychiatric hospitals across the nation were pretty much emptied due to harsh conditions and ineffective treatment. There were also fewer effective medications available to treat patients. The federal government made wonderful plans for outpatient clinics, and transitional housing, etc. Well, the goverment did not adequately carry out these plans. Where did the majority of the mentally ill go? They went, for the most part, on the streets, in homeless shelters, jails, prisons, to live with families/friends, or in Kelly’s case, the morgue. Having worked in a jail, I have seen with my own eyes the large percentage of the mentally in the jail population who are often preyed upon by people like yourself. Wouldn’t be too suprised if you had done some time for some outrage against society. 40 years ago I didn’t see but a quarter of the homeless that I see today in the city. Maybe, with a nearly 700 billion dollar defence budget this year, we could sell a few of those 2 billion dollar apiece B2 bombers to Saudi Arabia so we can atleast help as many of the homeless as possible. I am afraid that I have written the above all for naught. But when I see incredible ignorance, “Fullerton People”, I feel that I must address it. I really believe that you think that it is “all about you”, that everybody exists to meet your twisted needs, that is not, and never will be the case. There is something called the Karmic Principle, and maybe with improvement in the economy many years away, you will loose your job and join the masses of the homeless you so loathe. I just pray, that if that happens, you meet people as heartless as yourself.

  115. “Fullerton People”
Say it aint so, after reading the above posts I have a sneaking suspicion that you are a Peace Officer? That would be too surreal. Like going down the rabbit hole and coming out into some other demension. Real Twilight Zone stuff here. How did you ever pass psychological testing? A somewhat competant psychologist would have seen through the facade right away. I would bet my bank account that you are a sociopath, you know like Ted Bundy, at least he could be somewhat charming, but he didn’t have a sub normal IQ. I mean people like you rape children, kill female college students, steal their panties and avidly sniff them while cuffing their diseased weenis’. That tax dollars go to support a miserable prick like you is outrageous. I really thought nothing could truly shock me at this stage of my life, but this has really stunned me. I have to stop right now, the very thought of you is nauseating me..
