At 3:36 a.m. Thursday morning, OCFA responded to a reported structure fire at the OCFA Station 61 in the 8000 block of Western Ave. An explosion in the apparatus bay woke firefighters, extending into the living quarters of the station and becoming well involved. The fire went through the roof, and firefighters were still fighting the fire after several hours.
