Dumb, Dishonest, or Just Delusional?
Sometimes you just have to ask yourself whether somebody is just plain stupid, a liar, or truly untethered to reality. No where is this better seen than in the case of failed City Council candidate Vivian Jaramillo and her followers. We have already seen Jaramillo’s pitiful valediction, full of spite, and of course bemoaning “dirty tricks” of an undisclosed nature as cause of her (heroic) downfall. It was a twilight struggle of good versus evil, see, in a Manichean battle for the soul of Fullerton. Light versus darkness.
One might find this whole thing ludicrous in a way, and write it off as sound and fury, signifying nothing.
But there seems to be more going on here than a self-entitled Karen of a candidate crying about how the kids got into the HOA swimming pool. The holier-than-thou delusion of self-righteousness still seems to run deep in Fullerton. And it matters when the waste of public money, and a lot of it is wasted on stupid, empty gestures, is defended by people like Jaramillo and her supporters.
FFFF has observed how the Observer Kennedy Sisters did their level best to ignore the Scott Markowitz candidacy, a perjurious fraud perpetrated on the voters of the 4th District by Jaramillo’s Team. Sharon Kennedy, the elder sister and self-styled journalist even went so far as to contact key persons in the scandal, Diane Vena, ostensibly to aid in disseminating a plausible backstory – one that made no sense. And no printed story about the true Markowitz tale was ever forthcoming. The story was dirty tricks against Jaramillo.
Apparently, Jaramillo’s friends on Facebook are now lamenting her loss, and many are blindly following the dirty tricks narrative even though none of them seem to be able to articulate just what those may have been.
We all know that social media provides no barrier for people who don’t know what they’re talking about to opine freely, but this is pretty ridiculous. Jaramillo’s friends either don’t know or don’t care about:
- the self-sabotage the Jaramillo Team inflicted on itself
- the fraudulent Markowitz scam, created by Jaramillo’s supporters to harm the candidacy of Linda Whitaker
- that Jaramillo publicly supported the establishment and the later re-enactment of the MJ ordinance that could have allowed a dispensary 100ft from a house
- the fact that out-of-town dope dispensary lobby pumped $60,000 to support Jaramillo
- that the dope money was laundered through the national HQ of the grocery store workers union
- that the marijuana loot was used pay people to hector and harass voters multiple times
- that precinct walkers for Jaramillo slandered her opponents, Whitaker and Valencia
- that Jaramillo used City personnel to have her opponents signs removed
- that Jaramillo’s signs were illegally placed on public and private property
Et cetera, et cetera.
The election is over, but I get the sense that for the near future, at least, the boohooing and hand-wringing of Fullerton’s self-righteous left-leaners will continue – the self-pity, the blissful ignorance, and the high-horseyness competing for dominance.
When you are completely confident in your political belief system as a moral imperative you will not be dissuaded by any facts. And your candidates will be pure and spotless.
Welcome to the precincts of Fullerton BooHoo, where the “good guys” have the answers and the answers ALWAYS revolve around spending (your) money, efficiency be damned. It’s the thought that counts and the more money spent on the gesture, the better, especially when the “underserved” can be patronized.

And he says all the things that need to be said. Who cares if he sneaked into the USA, faked a marriage to a desperate woman in Arkansas and never left? Who cares if he’s a publicity seeking camera hog, a plagiarist, an hysterical megalomaniac and a con man?
Fullerton BooHoo is still alive although the ancient practitioners of the cult are dying out. Flory, Jaramillo and their supporters are a herd that is thinning out. Will it be around in 2026?

You forgot a LIAR! Remember when Zahra reported a FALSE crime on Fred Jung?
What fake crime did Zahra report? I thought he got off? False crime? Jung? Tell me more!
Apparently he filed a police report saying Jung assaulted him after a CC meeting, but everyone there said it never happened. But Zahra was never charged with filing a false police report which is ANOTHER crime he committed.
If you’re counting, add marriage and immigration fraud, assault and battery against a woman, and who know what else.
What she said about cops and firefighters was beyond the pale.
Fullerton should remember who endorsed this spiteful public safety hating sore loser.
A good portion of Fullerton knows who she is, it’s why she lost.
She spent years shitting on the community. People don’t forget.
Fuck the public safety union goons. Those parasites have been bribing elected officials and corrupting local elections for eons. Fullerton is the perpetual sad sack city because of them.
The question is whether Fullerton BooHoo, as a philosophy will survive the expiration of its old school members.
The self-righteous blindness can still be seen in the handful of dummies who believe the Observer is a real journalism exercise, but you get the feeling these are fossil-people.
Zahra’s very existence depends on it. So does Charles’ and neither one of them got 50% of the vote in their elections. Without a phony candidate courtesy of Ajay Mohan, Zahra wouldn’t even be there today – and it took $100K for him to be there. Charles won against 2 awful candidates.
District 1 and 2 seem resistant to BooHooness and 3 will too with a decent candidate.
Well, if you count up the people who DIDN’T vote for Jaramillo you get 65%. So I’d say D4 is looking good, too.
Don’t forget – Newman is gone, too. He’s not old, but he’s steeped in Fullerton BooHooism.
I noticed Sharon Quirk commented on the Jaramillo post that this site is misogynistic in its content and comments. Quirk who oversaw the greatest surplus in California history freefall to one of its greatest deficits has the balls, yes big brass balls to call out this content. It’s content lady. Not policy. Your policies are bankrupting the state. Where’s your kudos now? I like how quick she is to credit Jaramillo for being good. Good how exactly? Good for calling out publicly one Greg Seborn and accusing him of being on a redistricting committee so he could run for office. He didn’t run. You were on that committee. You did run. Lost. Who is so white as snow now? Smells and looks like piss to me.
She forgot about homophobic and Islamophobic, per Zahra. But she used to kiss our ass when she thought it might help her. It never did.

The self-righteous left in Fullerton will keep the ‘boohooing’ going for as long as they can milk it. Self-pity, ignorance, and high-horses all competing for the top spot. It’s almost as if Team Jaramillo thinks the election results were a tragic twist in a movie, rather than just the natural outcome of ignoring facts and reality.
The election results were what they were because Team Jaramillo put a fake candidate in the race. They must feel like crappola…LMAO!

At 65%ish, at least most of the folks down here in Dist 4 know what’s good for them. And that is NOT having the pink mudslide Jaba tamale making farce be responsible for anything when it comes to common sense she obviously doesn’t possess. As someone said, all I have ever known from her is self interest driven. She could care less about anyone. Look at what she did for a living. Went around and dumped on anyone she could to fill the coffers at city hall. Unearned power is what she wielded over the citizen of this city and she has tired time and time again to regain that through a seat at the table.
Well, hopefully no more.
She represents several steps backward for Fullerton. Hopefully people who are interested in doing the job and helping the city fight back on her.
She is only interested in wearing the name tag and kissing the babies…and the union$.
