We often give the Fullerton Police Department such a hard time; so let’s switch things up and send out this PSA on their behalf. It’s on the house, guys.
Loyal readers, feel free to turn in your expired Viagra and Prozac on Saturday, no questions asked. No mention of prescription materials acquired at one of our fine local collaborative establishments.

Hmmm. Does this presuppose we are all too stupid to handle this situation ourselves? Assuming for a moment that folks with surplus prozac (kind of scary) or vicodin don’t want to save them for some future need, what is it that would prevent their proper disposal right from our homes.
Seriously, we need the FPD’s assistance with this? Has it ever occurred to them we can all figure out how to grind them up and throw them in the trash. Stick them in with coffee grinds or other biodegradable trash and toss them even without grinding them and you prevent scavengers. I have heard a dirty diaper is the best place to put unused drugs but you need to be raising a young family or maybe over be the hill to have a ready supply.
What’s next for FPD? Drop off your un-drank booze? Old V.O. bottle or Seagrams 7 you will never touch again sitting in the corner of that bar? An old bottle of vermouth that you have owned for 20 years and can’t figure out what it would go with even if you wanted to use it? Come on down to P.D. HQ.
After all, many juvenile delinquents get their booze by swiping it from their family and friends. You could be a bartender and not even know it.

We realize it’s a “collaborative effort” as the add says. We are used to collaborators here in Fullerton and they seem to be up to no good most of the time. By the way idiot, no one but the FPD themselves directed people to their front door. They dont have to participate or sponsor the event. I’m sure it’s merely an incidental detail that the people are directed to the Fullerton Police Department. No doubt the FPD was caught by surprise that they were conscripted in to this effort against their will.

Wake up. This is a feel good effort that means nothing other than to call the citizens idiots in a nice way. Unless one accepts the people are too stupid to properly dispose of their own unused prescription meds, this effort by the police department has no purpose.

Police Department prescription drug take-back day successful
The Fullerton Police Department’s prescription drug take-back day was very successful, according to Sgt. Andrew Goodrich. The Department collected approximately 150 pounds of prescription medication from more than 50 persons. The attached article explains the event.
