FPD Alerts Public On Sex Offender

Well, here’s the information provided by Andrew Goodrich & Co. about some dude who needs to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life.

Antoine Dennell

Everybody’s supposed to be scared. At least this loser did his time.

Too bad Pat KcKinley’s boys never bothered to alert the women of Fullerton that a serial molester of women, Albert Rincon was prowling the streets of Fullerton  preying upon precisely those women McKinley would characterize as not credible. See, Rincon was one of Fullerton’e Finest. Really.

And he was actually put back on the streets after a little sensitivity training.

  1. But Antionne Dennell doesn’t wear a badge, therefore he is not credible and a REAL dangerous sex offender.
Albert Rincon wore a badge and Pat McKinley hired him, therefore he is credible and NOT dangerous.

  2. If you are sexually assaulted by a Fullerton cop you are supposed to call “Chief.”

Do it and see where that gets you!

  3. In Rincon’s defense he used handcuffs and the back of his patrol car. This guy used a knife.

You guys are comparing apples with pears.

    1. Are you insane? A knife or handcuffs still holds a woman hostage so that the perp can do what he wants. Sick!

Hey Andy Fatbitch, have you ever been raped or fondled without your consent? Probably not.

  4. It’s like Fullerton PD is trying it’s hardest to be the biggest fuckups in the history of Law Enforcement. Can’t they see the irony of this?

  5. Because we have cops who have committed heinous crimes, it does not diminish the significance or reality of the fact that non-cops also commit such crimes. It strikes me as unproductive to discredit even good moves made by the police moving forward as a result bad behavior in the past. Let’s be hyper-critical of the bad actions…not the good ones.

    1. Stop being such a weenie Chris.

They’re being hypocrites. Here they’re warning the city about a sexual predator who they know where he lives and they have him under surveillance and he hasnt done anything since he’s been released. YET they have a repeat rapist by the name of Officer Albert Rincon on their payroll, they havent warned anyone about this guy, they havent told anyone if he’s still on patrol, on leave, etc AND to make things worse they’ve already settled with his victims.

If this isn’t hypocrisy, I don’t know what else is so stop being such a cop kissing brown nosing weenie Chris.

AND BY THE WAY, I’m not discrediting them for DOING THEIR JOBS I’m pointing out the hypocrisy.

      1. AND… They’re doing the right thing by notifying the public about this guy THATS WHAT THEY’RE SUPPOSED TO BE DOING! but they failed to do it with the sexual predator on their own payroll.

        THAT IS CALLED HYPOCRISY!

        1. They also refuse to release a photo of Officer Rincon, just because of their shame.
Just like Penn State U protecting Jerry Sandusky and his perverted actions.
It is more important with many in high ranking authority to to what it takes to protect the integrity and reputation of their institution than protecting the safety, well-being and civil rights of the public.

      2. Your choice of words Umm represents the worst this blog has to offer. I’m just so sick of the unnecessary F-bombs and other cursing that pushes good, small government people away from this resource. The foul mouthed rants do nothing to build up what is an otherwise valuable forum to discredit bad government where discredit is due. I support the blog allowing it, but the gratuitous cursing is a net negative to the effort nonetheless.

More to your point, one would logically conclude from your comment that the mere act of the cops doing their job in this case was hypocritical and therefore the wrong thing to do. If that is not what you meant, then it is good news and I’m glad I pointed it out.

        1. Agreed whole-heartedly, Chris, with your points on Hmm’s language and name calling choices, however, I believe the point he is trying to make is that FPD should have taken the same stance with Rincon as they do with any non-leo sex offender like Dennell.

          1. I agree with that WG and the hypocrisy is worth pointing out. I think it would be more effective and beneficial to accompany the point with an acknowledgement that the right thing seems be taking place here. I assume that there are some cops on that force who are highly motivated to do the right thing…although I cannot forget the fact that none have had the courage to publicly condemn the wrong doing. I would say this point is talked out. Mellow out on the cursing. Condemn wrongdoing. Take note when a job is well done. Moving on…

            1. the hypocrisy is worth pointing out.

You are becoming a seasoned politician, I’ll give you that. About an hour ago you suggested that pointing out the hypocrisy (which was the point of this blog post) was “unproductive” and “hyper-critical” of the department.

              In fact, to quote you…

It strikes me as unproductive to discredit even good moves made by the police moving forward as a result bad behavior in the past. Let’s be hyper-critical of the bad actions…not the good ones.

              And…

one would logically conclude from your comment that the mere act of the cops doing their job in this case was hypocritical and therefore the wrong thing to do.

            2. Chris,

Don’t you want Fullerton and the PD moving forward? How are they going to move forward if you rip on everything they do in the past and fail to acknowledge the good things they do currently? Just curious. Do you think you will ever be able to move forward and have any type of confidence in the police department that patrols the city you love? They fired Rincon right? Isn’t that acknowledging that things were done wrong in the past and they want to make things right for the future?

Not being sarcastic. Just asking how you plan on moving forward or if you will always be negative toward the city leaders and police no matter what changes are made.

              1. Oh, we’re supposed to pet them and give them a cookie for doing their jobs all of a sudden?

Nobody who put Rincon back on the streets has suffered any adverse consequences. McKinley hasn’t suffered any consequences for hiring the perv.

The first step toward recovery is acknowledging your problem, not denying it.

FPD won’t get an attaboy from me until somebody takes responsibility for hiring and deploying all these misfits, sickos and goons.

                1. Well, you won’t get that ever it appears so I guess you will be whining until you die. You may, (may) get replacements on the council but the PD will remain identical with the exception of the Chief (maybe) and some of the young baby cops leaving for other PD’s. So then what? Just being realistic. I know you hate that though.

              2. Rincon wasn’t fired until THREE YEARS after his offenses were revealed.

And he wasn’t even fired for the original offenses. He did something else that we don’t even know about yet.

                1. Tuco says: Officer Rincon was a good man. He was hired by Pat McPension. He offered women sexual massages with a little bit of light bondage! It was not until the City paid out $350,000 that Officer Rincon lost his job!
Should I feel good about the 3 year wait time? Well, think about this folks, Officer Cicinelli has lost his pay, Officer Ramos lost his pay and they have not been convicted nor has the city settled on damages yet. So it appears that its possible to fire these miscreants much more quickly than the case with Officer Rincon.
Now understand this: While Sellers is hiding on sick leave, who is in charge making these decisions? I believe it is not the Acting chief acting alone, but good ol Pat McPension trying to clean up after himself with his 3 dinosaur majority on city council. If not for the recall, Rincon would still be working and Ramos and Cicinelli would be on PAID administrative leave.

              3. @Reality is – Are you referring to Chris Thompson’s post? “Rip’ing on everything (the PD) does in the past.” ? He was actually saying the opposite of what you are accusing him of. There remains much to be discontented about regarding the FPD, but each issue can be addressed as it comes up. We do need to correct FPD on it’s shortcomings, while acknowledging the positive actions as well.
As long as any City officials continue to act like this is their little fiefdom and we are all the ants they control without any recourse, then they are going to experience this site blasting them mercilessly.
People like Chris Thompson who seem to be in touch with what is happening are to be applauded.

                1. It’s possible. I read 3 posts in a row going back and forth on it.

Yes, exactly. But the cities and PD also aren’t going to do everything you say. Just because you feel that tasers are against the law and dangerous and you say get rid of them, doesn’t mean they are going to get rid of them. Right?

        2. one would logically conclude from your comment that the mere act of the cops doing their job in this case was hypocritical and therefore the wrong thing to do.

That would not be a logical conclusion.

I made it very clear that it was the right thing to do and they did their jobs as they’re supposed to do but they failed to take the same actions against Officer Albert Rincon which put the public at risk.

This is where the hypocrisy comes into play. A logical person can’t ignore or deny that.

So, Chris explain why the Fullerton PD should not warn (or have warned) the public about Officer Albert Rincon who was accused of sexually assaulting 6 women while on duty.

Also explain why they should not release his photo to the public in the event that there are other victims out there.

          1. Ummmmm. Not backing up the officer or the circumstances, but there is a huge difference between someone that is accused of doing something wrong and someone that has been convicted and served time for doing something. That’s the biggest difference I see in your comparison.

  6. However, we do have a former chief of police that sits on the city council defending any of his hired thugs crimes, downplaying them as ‘not a dangerous thing’.
Wonder what he actually has to say about this perv.

      1. Sid Landau is a name that has meaning to me, but I can’t remember why. Was it his original crime? Or ws it crimes committed after hisrealease?

  7. There are at least 100 registered sex offenders living in Fullerton. I wonder why this particular one necessitated a full-blown FPD press release?

          1. That sounds like a good post. If there are 100 sex offenders in Fullerton how did the one black dude get selected for star treatment.

    1. @plain glazed – This is a great post. Thanks. Yep – these “public servants” are hosing the system forward and backward. It is theft, plain and simple. “Reality Is” ( who posts on this site regularly states that he/she is a retired FPD, living on pension) , and clucks that he/she is happy as can be because “nobody can touch his pension”. We’ll see about all of that. These “public servants” who for years have been abusing the system by padding their final year’s income with fake overtime and baloney like that so they can get a larger pension amount are nothing more than petty criminals and they should all be arrested for their crime. Police, Fire, city administrative staff, weed crew, whatever and whomever…I’d love to send a chill up the spine of public employees who are hoping no one finds out what little devious little criminals they have been, stealing from the public coffers as they have been doing. “It’s all legal”, “nothing you can do”, harrumph, harrupmh. We’ll see about that. The wheels are turning here at FFF and we will continue to dig and find out who has been putting their little paws in the cookie jar and taking more than their fair share. I’m actually glad for the turn in the market, and the shortcomings in city coffers for the obvious reason. It has revealed the petty criminals and their doings. I am sure they didnt ever expect to get caught. “Everyone is doing it” “This is the way we do things around here”. Well, not any more!

(wait for it…..here comes @Reality Is to tell us how nothing will get done about it, forget about changing things, its just this way and thats that. blah blah blah).

      1. LOL no need to get into a reply. Learn about the system first, then make your attempts to change it. Research the Orange County pension lawsuit. Someone like you said the same thing and $5,000,000 tax payer dollars later he learned the hard way he had no shot to change it.

        1. re: post 47: Is simply not true or misleading.
Yes, current pensions will only be changed if Cal Pers goes broke, and the state has to make some of that missing money up. However, new hires can be under a new system. In addition, If a city goes bankrupt, ALL THE CONTRACTS are then up to judicial decision in bankruptcy court. So Fullerton better stay solvent and remember, they are a self insured city so their settlements come out of the city treasury (general fund).
As long as California continues with the great recession, public opinion is swaying against public employee unions – its a slow moving tide.

        2. You may want to talk to the public pensioners in Rhode Island if you think your retirement funding is a slam dunk.

        1. There were others. Presumably they did not want to initiate their own lawsuits.

Their shrinks probably told them to move on. I would imagine dragging the incident out for two years in court is emotionally destructive.

          1. how do you move on from a cop or anyone you trust, handcuffing you then fondling or exposing your very private parts anywhere let alone in the back of a vehicle?
I would think a person would want to pursue this, escpecially if it involves a cop, no matter how long it took, Isnt there a people vs. name of person, available? wow

  8. What is taking this Recall so long. I am losing confidence in it. Fraud happens everyday in Fullerton, and the Fraudsters are still there. Enough is Enough, Fullerton. Get theses Sociopath’s out.

    1. Give me a call Ty. You’re welcome to help gather signatures if you are registered to vote in Fullerton. 949-485-5658. Don’t worry yourself too much.

  9. Reality Is :
Well, you won’t get that ever it appears so I guess you will be whining until you die. Not whining. Just telling the truth: no justice, no cookie.

  10. Chris was right, the profanity needs to stop but IMHO I’d take it further.

The ad hominem attacks, the nitpicking of spelling/grammar, the name-calling, etc. all should stop as well. They serve to cheapen this blog and detract from its legitimacy.

Since I’m guilty of everything I’ve just mentioned, I’m recognizing this and saying I won’t be engaging in same any longer.

    Hopefully others will follow suit.

Yes, and the name calling during the council meetings does not do anything to advance the standing or reputation of the people of Fullerton!

  12. If feel the need to express via profanity I will do it on the internet and off.. If you don’t like it, it’s not my problem it’s ALL YOURS. I only post as myself and not a bogus name trying to hide who I am.. I say what I mean and I mean what I say… Get over it people. If the pansies can’t handle it then, maybe you don’t belong in society let along the internet..

    1. I also post with my real first name. But, because I’m a woman, I don’t give my last name. I have really tried not to use profanity, but I am human, you know.

Some of this is just so maddening.

      1. I would be lying if I did not acknowledge the occasional use of profanity…which I regret and never in public writing. Much of this stuff is maddening. I do think it is VERY rare that profanity on the blog improves a post or a comment.

    2. It is your right to use profanity Erin and it is your specific right to use it on this blog. It’s my right to point out that gratuitous profanity comes at a net cost to the reach of the blog.

  13. I think this is a positive move from the FPD, showing their concern for the community. Yes, there are problems to be addressed from before, but the management from that time will never be overseeing FPD again. It’s a new day.

That’s what you asked them to do…..clean up the mess and show us that you’ve changed………It seems that’s exactly what they’re trying to do….

    1. Jordan: I’m here to register as a sex offender.

FPD: AH HA! Caught you! You sick black bastard!

Jordan: What the hell? I served my time. I registered …what more do you want?

FPD: MEDIA! OH MEDIA!!!!! We’re have this sick black bastard in our community! …Sure, we have 100+ others just like him living in our neighborhoods and motels but it doesnt mattter …because he’s big, black and black looking! …and that’s all that matters.

Unregistered Sex Offender: See, this is why I don’t register.

Transient Sex Offender: I don’t have to register.

      Officer Rincon: …ladies?

  14. People, we’re nit-picking here. NIT. PICKING. What was FPD supposed to do? Not tell the unsuspecting public that this (sorry Chris, I know you don’t like f-bombs, but it fits here) mother f’er was in our midst?

    1. They’re supposed to let people know about guys like this and guys within their own department who have sexually assaulted women.

No one is saying they SHOULDNT alert the public when these creeps move into the neighborhood. Posters like myself are just pointing out the continued hypocrisy of the Fullerton PD.

It seems everyone has to follow the law except them. They never warned the public about officer rincon, in fact they havent even released his picture to this day or asked the public if they’ve had any encounters with him.

The law should apply to everyone regardless of their status in life.

  15. With the Madame Quirk-Silva as new mayor and some recent positive actions on the part of FPD, namely the apprehension and arrest of that parole who stabbed that cabbie, we should all feel at least a bit more optimistic about the direction of Fullerton’s leadership. But that’s the optimist in me speaking.

    1. The arrest has you feeling optimistic?

Veth Mam was arrested, too; and prosecuted. You see where I’m going with this, right?

      1. No I don’t. We know Veth Mam was wrongfully arrested on trumped up charges. This stabber I referred to above was a legit criminal.

        1. I’m guessing where Fred was going on this was, given FPD’s history of trumped-up charges, false arrest, and perjury, it is hard to feel confident in the general integrity of the institution. We have no idea how many false arrests have been made, or how many languish in jail to this day because of false arrests and perjury.

It is sad when an institution of justice loses all credibility, but they have only themselves to blame.

          1. Agree. That’s what I was saying. If you can’t look forward no matter what then the only answer is to go Sheriffs. You will have half the force go to the jails and other cities, and the remaining ones will look different in tan. I don’t think you will like having Sheriffs for many reasons but you will learn that over time. Bring em in. 🙂

    2. we should all feel at least a bit more optimistic about the direction of Fullerton’s leadership. But that’s the optimist in me speaking.

The FPD responds to thousands of calls a year, made countless arrests and continued to perform their duties faithfully during the Kelly Thomas investigation.

In fact nothing has changed in how they police the community. They continue to conduct themselves in the same manner as always.

I guess my question to you and Chris Thompson is: What was the point of protesting in front of the police station, in city hall and demanding a recall?

They conducted an investigation in the beating and they fired the officers directly involved in Kelly’s death so …what more could you ask for or even want?

What was the point of calling former mayor jones horrible names like “boss hog”, “pig”, “fat” to his face when he simply asked for calm until the investigation into the matter was completed?

      1. Wrong. Nobody involved with “Kelly’s death” (or as we like to call it “Kelly’s murder”) has been fired. Nobody. Our Heroes wouldn’t tolerate that.

        No justice, no cookie.

        1. Great follow up JT. However, it is my guess that you will acknowledge in hindsight that the comment would have greater reach and no less effectiveness without the fbomb. For me, cursing is primarily a self indulgent act. I cannot recall impressing anybody with it.

          1. Chris, I truly respect your quite possibly Quixotic quest to clean this blog up of cursewords. In fact I wanted to go back and edit my fbomb to “fracking.” I suggest we use 19th century “Minced Oaths” when emotion overtakes us and we are unable to avoid swearing. Here’s a handy list. Warning – this list contains cursewords though I provide it for the sake of encouraging the following substitutions. When in doubt, just think Yosemite Sam.

            1. Funny.

I’ll add that when an evangelical pastor tells you that “all we can do is pray for you” that means “fuck off”.

      2. FF- Im not Chris Thompson but Im going to answer anyway, The point is/was regarding:

1- the protesting issue in front of the FPD-this is/was an expression/pressure and is an American right-to show the government that what they are doing and have been doing is not acceptable to the majority of the public -this is a freedom sacrifice that soldiers fight for. The FPD is a goverment establishment that use taxpayers money -the local Taco Bell is a private business

2-there was no investigation or firing of anyone until the public placed/showed pressure by the protesting, nor would there have been if no one cared enough to protest.

3-What more do I want? Politicians and government leaders that citizens pay for, to abide by the US constitution, to listen to the people and do their job the right way-and this does not entitle them to react like they are in an episode of Wild Kingdom or Rifleman or grab extra rights for themselves

4-as far as calling names, I cant speak for everyone, I believe people express their anger in different ways, it sure is better than beating someone or tasing them also, speaking your mind is a first ammendment right-Kelly Thomas didnt have a chance to call anyone names-or exercise his rights-on the night of july 5th
what is the point? what was the point of allowing a 10% fee on water bills just to fill coffers in the city so pensions and salaries could be paid without a special election? what was the point of allowing Rincon to roam the streets arresting women that he molested? what was the point of falsely arresting and beating innocent people? what was the point of releasing that One Eyed cop on the streets of fullerton? what was the point of searching thru peoples belongings and person without a warrant? i could go on and on but you get my POINT, I hope.

        1. Not too shabby Merijoe! What she said. Honestly though, I don’t think I ever really protested. I’m not a big protester. I’m more into taking specific and directed action. Having said that, I think that the first 4 or 5 Saturdays had tremendous value to the cause and awareness. The diminishing returns kicked in hard when they kicked in, but the value has gone to good use. Thanks to the generosity of Tony and the hard work of dozens of people, we will be recalling these three council members who in my view, have done absolutely nothing for this city.

        2. Are you saying that when the City government kills one of the weakest amoung them, that the people have a right to disagree, protest, and hold logic up as a measure for responsability?

          Shocking,

  16. wrong guy-

What has Silva done in the past that would make you optimistic about her? And by past, I mean further back than Kelly’s murder.

    1. She collected socks for the homeless and on KTLA she called for an investigation into Rapist Rincon …even though one was completed months earlier.

This and her threats to have FPD forcibly remove people for speaking out during the city council meeting makes me confident in her leadership.

      …oh you mean further back

  17. At a city counsel meeting Ms. Walker talked about being sexually assaulted by a Fullerton cop last year has that cop been arrested and fired? Or was that Rico?

    1. If I remember correctly she said the officer who assaulted her is Edgar. If anyone runs into her again try to get more detail about it, she attends every city council meeting.

    2. That would be officer Edgar..no he was not let go. They did an investigation, and did contact Ms Walker, what those results are Ms Walker to share. But I do know, he was not removed.

  18. Two cops are on unpaid leave. Sounds like fired to me. The others who face no charges are off being paid because people on this blog wanted the cops to get a long paid vacation.

      1. If they’re found not guilty by a jury of their peers. They should get their jobs back with back pay. It’s only fair.

  19. Erin :
If feel the need to express via profanity I will do it on the internet and off.. If you don’t like it, it’s not my problem it’s ALL YOURS. I only post as myself and not a bogus name trying to hide who I am.. I say what I mean and I mean what I say… Get over it people. If the pansies can’t handle it then, maybe you don’t belong in society let along the internet..

You can post whatever you want to and say whatever you want to say during council meetings. All I’m saying is that comments will not be taken as seriously if delivered with screaming and name calling much like a fifth grader on a playground. I don’t think I ever heard Ron Thomas scream or curse at the council members during open forum even though his son was murdered by the police!! His deliveries were focused and to the point.

Yes, you can say what you want to, guaranteed by your first amendment rights. But how you want people to view your comments and demeanor is up to you.

    1. “Mr. Mayor, I came here tonight to offer you an olive branch, but when you open your mouth, I want to grab a baseball bat instead,” – Ron Thomas

Yeah, that seemed very peaceful, level-headed, “focused and to the point”. 🙂

      1. Got a son? Let’s try this. We’ll have a bunch of cops beat him to death. Then we’ll have the mayor say “I don’t know why he died.” Then we’ll see how “peaceful and level-headed” you are.

One for the Books is right – Ron Thomas has been a model of level-headedness considering the circumstances.

        1. At that time no one officially knew how Kelly died. Most of it was based on rumors and speculation.

An investigation was still being done by the police department and DA which he was fully aware of so for Ron to say something like that was appalling.

The Mayor had no way of knowing. It was not his place or position to know for that matter. I have no clue why Chris Thompson, Ron Thomas and others tried to destroy that poor man for simply telling people to wait until the investigation was completed.

Chris has some nerve complaining about people cursing and name-calling him when he and his blogger buddies did that for months.
If anything they owe the Mayor Jones and his family an open apology before trying to “move on”.

          1. Other than the phrase jackass, I don’t believe I have ever cursed on this blog. I would hardly characterize Dick Jones as “that poor man.”

            1. Chris I love how you glossed over 99% of the points I made. 🙂

You’re not going to get much support for the recall outside your group of friends if you continue to double speak and B.S. Voters are much more savvy than you think.

You, Ron Thomas, Tony Bushala encouraged people to be rude, use foul language, name call and so forth and none of you were happy with any answer you got from the city, you wanted more, more, more and even more.

You, your friends and your proxies made city hall the joke of southern California and when you could have done something to restore calm, you sat on your hands and continued to let it happen.

All Mayor Jones asked for was for everyone to calm down until the investigation was complete and because of that your buddies called the man all sorts of disgusting names while you sat in chambers laughing and applauding.

Now you have the nerve to tell people not to use foul language or name-call when it involves you. Shameful Chris.

If you ever want to lead by example and begin “healing” and “moving on”, start by apologizing to Richard Jones and his family who not only had to endure name calling but threats and your buddies visiting their house.

This so-called recall effort is just that, an effort that isn’t going to go anywhere all thanks to your double speak, blatant hypocrisy and wavering stance.

Don’t even think of hiding behind the Fullerton PD or use them as props for your personal agenda. The fine officers of that department have demonstrated that they can stand well enough on their own.

              1. That jackass Jones has been a rude loudmouth to anyone who annoyed him for over 15 years. Apology? Yes he owes us one!

He also stole 10% of my water bill for 15 years and gave it to his pals in City Hall and to give himself a car allowance!

                We want our money back!

              2. Fullerton Friend…Your remarks sound amazingly similar to Fullerton’s current Planning Commissioner, and leader of the Anti-Recall movement, Larry Bennett?
FYI…Fullerton Planning Commissioner Larry Bennett has also served as ex-Mayor Dick Jones campaign treasurer for every one of F. Dick Jones City Council campaigns.
Am I the only one that thinks that this sounds like a conflict of interest?

              3. @fullertonfriend nope! You encouraged it, wether you know it or not. You and your friends and the crew you hang out with. You have encourged all the mayhem atcitycouncil meetings. Think about. You are to blame.

          2. At the time, many inside the department assumed the standard coverup was under way, and that the victim’s would mysteriously become tainted with PCP or some such substance.

Once the murder caught the eyes of the international press, everything changed.

Dick Jones did everything he could to hide his delicate eyes from the truth, while many of his constituents suffered from the fear that they might be the next victims of the FPD.

          3. How he “officially died?” Hahahaha!

Everyone knew exactly how he died. The cops murdered him. Only the cover-up crowd pretended that the Coroner was somehow going exonerate the killers.

          4. Hell, I’ll apologize to Doc HeeHaw.

Doc, I’m sorry you’re such an ignorant, loud-mouthed jackass.

There. I feel ever so much better.

          5. I disagree. I have been a student of government since 1964, when I was 8 years old. It has never been acceptable for a leader to “not know”.

This was true when the Dead Kennedys were the radicals in town. It is true now that the Dead Kennedys are the status quo.

In my years, I have heard every excuse pertaining to how those who are in charge have to differ to some other entity to make the determinatins for which they were installed to take charge.

            The excuses always fall flat.

          6. Your timeline Fullerton “friend” of FPD is all wrong. You see approximately 100 people saw all or part of the incident and they were appalled. The mayor had known about this through his close association with Pat McKinley former police chief. The current police chief left on a two week cruise. Your glossing over info to throw digs at the recall tells me you are nothing more than a troll. Glad you are not active in my city or I would be after you at city council meetings.
Then I see another long winded reply from you trying to dig Chris THompson while you hide behind your former badge. Intractable views from people usually mean they get something in return since there is no logic. What are you getting?

    2. Yes, One for the books –you are spot on..and Ron has said numerous times how much he loathes the profanity, screaming, and name calling at the council meetings. He prefers Kelly’s Army to sound articulate, and, well, sober….But he talks to those people in private –I am sure to model what he expects.

  20. And because of the leave of the officers as the public demanded, it opened up 6 paid overtime spots……….ch…ching$$$$$$$

    1. Oh, now the FPD is giving the public what they want? In that case, the public demands not to be robbed, raped or killed by the police, too.

  21. Fullerton Friend :
If they’re found not guilty by a jury of their peers. They should get their jobs back with back pay. It’s only fair.

Rincon was never found guilty. Should he be back on duty too?

  22. Fullerton’s city council has identified Fullerton women with a dubious past lure Fullerton police officers to commit lewd and lascivious acts on them. This is an emergency that may only be fixed by forming a task force compiled of the usual propellor heads who will offer suggestions on how to fix lewd women.

  23. Wrong Guy :But Antionne Dennell doesn’t wear a badge, therefore he is not credible and a REAL dangerous sex offender.Albert Rincon wore a badge and Pat McKinley hired him, therefore he is credible and NOT dangerous.

So if you work for Walmart and you are caught stealing, blame it on the person that hired you? You guys are lame!!

    1. McKinley hired a whole stable of thieves, and yes, he is responsible. 25% of the current force has been party to some malfeasance. I’d say that goes to McKinley, wouldn’t you? Don’t forget, he bragged about hiring “all of ’em.”

  24. seer2some :I think this is a positive move from the FPD, showing their concern for the community. Yes, there are problems to be addressed from before, but the management from that time will never be overseeing FPD again. It’s a new day.
That’s what you asked them to do…..clean up the mess and show us that you’ve changed………It seems that’s exactly what they’re trying to do….

Every city does it, not just Fullerton.

    1. I’ve never seen it posted in the media from
another city……..it was in the OCR too……

It’s a start to show caring concern for their citizens…..

  25. That’s Elmo :And because of the leave of the officers as the public demanded, it opened up 6 paid overtime spots……….ch…ching$$$$$$$

These officers are not off cause the public demanded. It’s police policy. They are not doing anything different cause a bunch of screamers.

    1. Uh, yeah, sure, whatever you say porky. But maybe you can explain why it took a whole month to get the swine off the streets. Policy? Hahaha!

  26. Anonymous :How he “officially died?” Hahahaha!
Everyone knew exactly how he died. The cops murdered him. Only the cover-up crowd pretended that the Coroner was somehow going exonerate the killers.

The coroner said how he died and the physicians said he died a different way. They will both be on trial. There is so many holes in this case it looks like swiss cheese.

    1. He died because he couldn’t get any air into his lungs.

The treating physicians were the first to see him when he was brought in…..and said he choked on his blood…

The Coroner saw his body after he had been on life support for a few days and the blood had been cleaned up…..

Both came to the same conclusion, , just different theories as to why he couldn’t get any air……

  27. Fullerton Friend :“Mr. Mayor, I came here tonight to offer you an olive branch, but when you open your mouth, I want to grab a baseball bat instead,” – Ron Thomas
Yeah, that seemed very peaceful, level-headed, “focused and to the point”.

Maybe he could of used his fake Ju-jitsu on him.

  28. KHQ.COM – A jury has found Spokane police officer Karl Thompson guilty of using excessive force in the 2006 death of Otto Zehm in a north Spokane convenience store. Thompson was also found guilty of lying to investigators about the fatal confrontation. Thompson, 64, was the first officer at the scene the night police beat, hog-tied and tased Zehm inside a North Spokane Zip Trip in 2006.

Zehm died two days later. When he arrived at the gas station Thompson said he saw Zehm entering the store. Thompson said he was under the impression Zehm may have robbed two women in car using a nearby ATM. That information later proved to be false. In closing arguments on Monday Federal Prosecutors said “this case is about a police officer who chose to strike first and ask questions later.”

Victor Boutros, U.S. Department of Justice Trial Attorney, said Zehm posed no threat to anyone. Boutros said Zehm was a regular at the Zip Trip who would often times go just to get a soda. Boutros said, “With his dying words, he (Zehm) never understood why the defendant had beat him: ‘All I wanted was a Snickers.'” Prosecutors argued Thompson abused his badge as a police officer and urged the jurors to make a statement with its decision that no one is above the law.

The defense contended the prosecution never proved Thompson acted with bad or evil purpose the night of the incident. Thompson said he was on his lunch break when he first learned information about the suspicious activity, and soon checked himself into the call. “This is the actions of a man that we would be proud of,” Defense Attorney Carl Oreskovich said.
Throughout the trial the prosecution worked to prove that Thompson struck Zehm in the head or the neck with his (Thompson’s) baton. A strike to the head or neck is considered lethal force. “You had evidence from not only the witnesses, but the doctors in this case, that there were strikes to the head and to the neck,” Boutros said. “If you find any willful neck strikes or head strikes, find the defendant guilty of count one.” On Monday, Boutros pointed out 14 baton strikes he considered ‘unreasonable’ or ‘excessive’.

In closing arguments on Monday the defense spoke of Thompson’s long career as a police officer. “This is an honorable man,” Defense Attorney Carl Oreskovich said. “This is not a man who comes up on somebody with a baton. This is a man who is constantly trying to be better.” Oreskovich also brought up a letter written by Thompson’s fellow officers in 2006 petitioning him to apply for the police chief position eventually filled by Anne Kirkpatrick.

The trial moved to Yakima after Judge Fred Van Sickle ruled he did not want pretrial publicity to bias a jury. The incident at the Zip Trip took place five and a half years ago on March 18, 2006. “This is a tragic and terrible story, but you all get to write the last chapter,” Boutros said, “You get the final word and the final word is guilty.”

RELEASE FROM THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE:

Spokane – Today, Michael C. Ormsby, United States Attorney for the Eastern District of Washington, announced the jury’s guilty verdicts in the excessive force and falsification trial against Karl F. Thompson, Jr., age 64.

The Indictment charged Karl Thompson, a Spokane Police officer, with the deprivation of Otto Zehm’s civil rights on March 18, 2006, by repeatedly striking him with a baton and tasering him, resulting in bodily injury. The Indictment also charged Karl Thompson with making a false entry in a record in a matter investigated by a federal agency. The jury trial began in Yakima on October 12, 2011, and concluded today with the jury’s verdict.

Michael C. Ormsby, U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Washington, said, “Law enforcement officers are entrusted with important power and authority. With that authority comes the responsibility not to abuse essential constitutional rights of those they serve, to be honest in the reports they make, and not block legitimate efforts to investigate allegations of excessive force. It was very important for this community to have the events of March 18, 2006, revealed to the public and to seek justice for the innocent victim of this abusive police conduct. ”

The civil rights charge carries a maximum penalty of ten years imprisonment, a $250,000 fine, up to 3 years of court supervision after release and restitution. The falsification of records in a matter investigated by a federal agency carries a maximum penalty of twenty years imprisonment, a $250,000 fine, and up to 3 years of court supervision after release.

The federal civil rights statutes prohibit intentional acts by law enforcement officials who misuse their positions to unlawfully deprive individuals of constitutional rights, such as the right to be free from unwarranted assaults, illegal arrests and searches. Because almost any matter which presents a violation of federal law is also a matter involving a local or state law violation, deference is given to local prosecutions. But where there is no local action or where the results of the state or local proceedings are insufficient to vindicate federal interests, a federal prosecution may be brought.

This investigation was conducted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation. This case is being prosecuted by Timothy Durkin and Aine Ahmed, Assistant U.S. Attorneys for the Eastern District of Washington and Victor Boutros, Trial Attorney for the Civil Rights Division of the Department of Justice.

Statement from Spokane mayor Mary Verner:

“The jury in the trial was in the best position to render a verdict in this case.  And, we accept their decision. This verdict is only one step toward closure and healing for our community.

“I remain committed to completing a thorough internal and external review of all aspects of the case.   Our citizens rightfully require their elected officials to acknowledge mistakes and problems and make changes to avoid them in the future.  That’s what we’re going to do.”

    1. Yep, , Federal charges are where they are going to get the time behind bars…….

Reading what officer Thompson did, compared to what happened to Kelly is like comparing rain to a flood……..But, it looks like cops that do this are having to answer for it.

      1. It’s about time we start treating violence by police like we would violence by anybody else. Glad to see that officer will be serving time.

  29. Chris Thompson :I agree with that WG and the hypocrisy is worth pointing out. Moving on…

Maybe cause they all feel nothing was done wrong. How about that conclusion?

  30. Umm… :Stop being such a weenie Chris.

Rincon was fired…stay with the times.

  31. just a guy :There are at least 100 registered sex offenders living in Fullerton. I wonder why this particular one necessitated a full-blown FPD press release?

Probably the others are not as violent as this one.

    1. You’re right. Most of those guys just fondled or raped a child or two and probably wasnt much violence involved if you consider their size and mental capacity BUT this black guy …boy, I’d be scared because everyone knows they’re stronger, extremely violent and those wacky liberal judges will probably turn him loose yet again because he’s black.

Last thing we need is one of them on the loose.

I applaud the FPD for warning the community about this subhuman animal roaming our streets.

  32. Steve here in Fullerton-Ofc of Indpndnt Revw says invstigation into beating death of Kelly Thomas is half over, report may be done by Feb

  33. Wonderful, we were all waiting for that important piece of inspector Caluso/Pink Panther work to be done-and only 7 months later.
We will all know for sure whether it was natural causes or not that took kelly out of here, in feb or whenever they feel like it, and whether or not Ramos and Cici, wolfe, hampton, blatney and craig should be sipping on Rob Roys in the south of france or in santa ana mens central

    1. I think they first reported on FPD as a whole and then chose to do the Kelly Thomas investigation separate………

Yeah all those South County cities are so miserable and crime-ridden!

Great point as always Tony…The city of Stanton( who contracts with OCSD) must be your vision for Fullertons future. They should change the name to slumlord city you will fit right in as king.

  35. So, people who post with a username or pseusonym “hide who they are” while people who post as their “real self” with their first (and no last) name somehow are not equally anonymous.

That’s real rich. I would like someone to explain how that works. Maybe Erin would be so gracious, as she all but called people who post with pseudonyms cowards with that rough n’ tough talkin’ rant earlier.

    1. Slow down a bit. I don’t what’s going on here, but maybe we all need a break from this.

When I first started posting I wanted to use my entire name, but for safety reasons I didn’t.

Yes, in a way I am still anonymous, but I did not try to hide. I was only saying what my reasons were.

I see all the cops and their friends with all those crazy names, and I think it just makes everyone crazy too. They are meant to incite, and they do.

  36. Also, the fact that someone states on here that their name is “Steve,” or “Joe” (e.g.) doesn’t mean that is their name. We only have their word for that.

        1. O.k.! I am feeling a bit sensitive. I am only here because of my strong beliefs, and want to do what I can to help.

It’s everyone’s problem now, not just Fullerton.

          Thanks though.

          1. In a town where officers of the law commit crimes and beat, molest, and murder its citizens, I would not use my real name on a blog that brings to light the crime and corruption of said law enforcement. Seriously. How can you feel safe there?

            1. Right as rain blessusall.

Some of us use fake names, some of us use aliases that can be easily figured out, but the point stands. Anonymity – not only here, but in general when saying this that those in power may not want to hear – is self-preservation.

    1. Good point, however, if you are referring to Steve Brow, he is a certifiable member of the Dead Kennedies.

He was also co-editor of the classroom newspaper in Mrs. Young’s second grade class at Golden Hills Elementary. Later he wrote for the school newspaper at Fullerton High and was editor in chief of the school magazine, Indigo.

He also wrote for the failed Brea Good Newspaper, and has the framed bounced check to prove it. He covered Sacramento for the UC Davis California Aggie. He wrote for the two failed precursers to the Fullerton Observer, Grass Roots Organizing and The New Voice of Orange County. He worked as a fill-in reporter for the Daily New Tribune of Fullerton when it was a daily.

More importantly he was a member of Mrs. Catlin’s class in fifth grade at Golden Hills Elementary when her husband Buck was an engineer at Hughs Aircraft and before his 20 years on the Fulleton City Council. There he heard arguements between the Diedrich kid before his dad was our Orange County Supervisor and the Dannemeyer kid before he was our US Congressman.

He has heard of other poster’s identities being hijacked, but no one has ever hijacked his. Good thing, for his sister-in-law is an attorney specializing in intellectual property and her son is a grauate of Stanford University in computer science who would have no problem tracing true computer identities.

Steve can’t vouch for Joe, but Steve is Steve.

And, although he has posted freely on this site, he is also holding back.

LOS ANGELES – Assemblyman Chris Norby defended himself Thursday against charges he illegally used campaign funds for a weeklong stay in a cut-rate Fullerton motel in 2007, when he was chairman of the county Board of Supervisors.
Lawyers for the state Fair Political Practices Commission argued before an administrative judge that Norby was having marital difficulties and sought refuge at the Fullerton Inn, where he used $340 in campaign funds for a seven-day stay.

Norby said he was researching homelessness and poor families who stay in budget motels. Campaign funds can legally be used for governmental purposes, including research.
Norby later published an article on homelessness, which cited his stays at the motel and at National Guard armory shelters. He also reimbursed his campaign for the $340, although FPPC lawyers pointed out that both actions came after a newspaper report detailing the motel charge to his campaign.
“The expenditure was made for personal purposes because of respondent Norby’s marital difficulties,” the FPPC’s Luisa Menchaca told Administrative Judge Ralph B. Dash.
Dash has 30 days to submit a recommended action to the FPPC. Norby, who said he turned down a settlement offer from the FPPC because it required him to sign a declaration of wrongdoing, faces a maximum $5,000 fine.
Norby and his wife, Marsha, divorced later in 2007. He married his current wife, Martha, in 2009.
Norby and his attorney, Darryl Wold, built a case that Norby had an interest in homelessness dating back to his time on the Fullerton City Council in the 1990s – and that he didn’t need a place to stay. Norby testified that he only spent three of his seven nights at the motel, sleeping at the rest of the time at the home of previous wife, Charlotte Chai. Chai testified that she’d asked Norby to look after her house while she visited China with Alex Norby, Chai and Norby’s son. She said Norby was welcome to stay there and that she was aware that he’d slept over.
“He had other places to stay,” Wold said. “He did stay elsewhere during that week. He would not have stayed in that location if not for the homeless issue.”
Key to the FPPC case was 2008 Los Angeles Times story on his motel stay, in which Norby called the use of campaign funds a “mistake.”
“I’m going to reimburse the campaign because I was there for personal stay,” the paper quoted him as saying. “The campaign should not have been involved in it.”
Discussing his marital troubles at the time, Norby fought back tears for a moment until Dash called a brief recess. When testimony resumed, Norby said he simply wanted to address the question so that his domestic issues would not be further publicized.
“It was an extreme embarrassment and I wanted to put it behind me,” he said.
He said that at the time, he didn’t dispute the reporter’s implication that he stayed at the motel because of marital problems.
“I said, ‘If anybody thinks that’s the appearance, I’ll refund the money,’ ” he said. “I do not want to argue with reporters. They have the ink.”
Norby spent 18 years on the Fullerton council, seven years on the Board of Supervisors and was elected to the Assembly in 2010.

When is this crook going to end up in jail where he belongs?

    1. “When is this crook going to end up in jail where he belongs?”

Maybe when he and five of his pals murder a helpless homeless man?

  38. He did not beat his wife although it was witnessed by the FedEx guy. He stayed at the motel to do research on the homeless during his divorce …… Also true, best place to find the homeless in a motel. Bruce Whittaker works for this clown!!

  39. Yes Norby is pals with the masters of this Blog. That’s why we hear crickets. Government corruption and lies are ok as long as they are committed by your friends this too is Fullertons future.

    1. We already knew that. Tony will admit he’s not the cleanest guy in the world. That’s why he pays people to do his dirty work. His name is not held in high esteem in Fullerton. He’s an ok guy though. He tries. Tony has and knows all kinds of people that are in line with what he wants in Fullerton government. It’s just a matter of sliding them into office. Tough job. Behind the scenes moves. Chess game. He knows this is his first solid chance to run Fullerton government. It’s possible to pull off but will be tough for sure.

      1. Behind the scenes? No. Tony’s name is on everything. Upfront. You, on the other hand must remain behind the scenes hiding your name. Why is that? What are you afraid of.

      2. RI -Bloviating again?
And, you know this how? you are Tony’s personal gardener?
Just reading your assine posts, you prove yourself to be dirtier than anyone alive- you lying worthless sack.

Nobody has time to listen to your fantasies-yenta

Those arent crickets you hear those are the sounds of dusty farts coming from the butts of those do nothing, ignorant city council politicians sitting in their big leather high chairs

        1. LOL Hoe that was hot. I missed you while you were in jail. I bet your cell mate misses you too. You really are funny. Love it. 🙂

  40. Reality Is :

DAMN… that sounds like the plot for a hell of a movie!

  41. Does anyone else feel, that Carolyn has taken over? Or does it just read like that? LE has has taken over here, with Carolyn telling them what to say……lol….

  42. Fullerton Friend :
“Mr. Mayor, I came here tonight to offer you an olive branch, but when you open your mouth, I want to grab a baseball bat instead,” – Ron Thomas
Yeah, that seemed very peaceful, level-headed, “focused and to the point”.

Okay, but did you ever hear Ron scream or curse at the council members?

Yes Tony, any crime short of murder is ok as long if the crime is committed by one of your supporters.

    1. Crime? Says who? Some Sacto bureaucrat? I’ll wait for that trial by his peers thingy you pigs are hanging your hats on!!

      Hahahaha!

    2. Elmo-what the hell are you TALKING ABOUT? what crime?

No one here has tasered anyone or pounded someones face into hamburger meat or put on gloves real slow, while threatening someone-no one here has molested anyone, no one here has stolen money and falsey arrested anyone –
so girlfriend, if you got somethin to say, say it- cause Im one of them thar supporters you babble on about, you pompous windbag

  44. Anyway, getting back to the topic of this post, I hope Fullerton P.D. finds Mr. Dennell before he hurts an innocent woman or child!

  45. One for the books :
Anyway, getting back to the topic of this post, I hope Fullerton P.D. finds Mr. Dennell before he hurts an innocent woman or child!

CORRECTION: Keep an eye on him, not find him.

    1. Don’t worry they’ll keep an eye on him while ignoring the 70 other child rapists who reside in Fullerton. Why? Because FPD is that dedicated.

    1. Major, Mejia Hampton, Nguyen, Blatney, Klein, Cicinelli, Wolfe, Ramos, Tong, Mater, Rincon, Thayer, Hamilton, Cross, Sellers, McKinley….

Hahahahaha! My list is longer than yours!

  46. Fred Alcazar :McKinley hired a whole stable of thieves, and yes, he is responsible. 25% of the current force has been party to some malfeasance. I’d say that goes to McKinley, wouldn’t you? Don’t forget, he bragged about hiring “all of ‘em.”

You are and sound very ignorant.

    1. Nope. Just do a search. At least 20% of the FPD has either suspended, convicted, implicated in crimes, helped in the KT murder cover-up or quietly showed the door in just the past year or so.

And the Bald Eagle of Fullerton McKinley hired them all! he said so!

    1. Wrong, again porky. They were taken off the street because the public raised Hell. Remember that their bosses helped them write their reports? We do. Then they went back to “work” with their “broken bones.”

Remember there was no “internal investigation” until AFTER they hired Gennaco. Oh no. The only policy involved was the usual cover-up.

  47. Anonymous :

Wrong Guy :But Antionne Dennell doesn’t wear a badge, therefore he is not credible and a REAL dangerous sex offender.Albert Rincon wore a badge and Pat McKinley hired him, therefore he is credible and NOT dangerous.

So if you work for Walmart and you are caught stealing, blame it on the person that hired you? You guys are lame!!

MY comment was not about blaming anyone. It is about being consistant in punishing sex offenders, whether or not they wear a badge. No blame on McKinley. Just using McKinley’s logic.

    1. you’ve actually had a kid beaten and tased to death by 6 giant cops for nothing and video that showed 1 cop putting on gloves real slow threatening him/her- then you saw a tape of your kid yelling out “Dad dad dad and Im sorry”? and then they covered it – wow my bad

  48. Anonymous got McKinley logic…..illogic….reality isn’t….dark side….smell of dirty pig…..gloomy outlook on life unless others suffer….rolling eyes….etc..

  49. merijoe :you’ve actually had a kid beaten and tased to death by 6 giant cops for nothing and video that showed 1 cop putting on gloves real slow threatening him/her- then you saw a tape of your kid yelling out “Dad dad dad and Im sorry”? and then they covered it – wow my bad

    Thats call resisting…Shit happens.

Don’t give these mental patients and pot heads any credibility by going down that route. Even the DA disagrees with the resisting arrest theory.

    2. Yes “shit happens.” The favorite excuse of lazy cops. We don’t have to do our jobs. Shit happens. Say, how about 4@45?

  50. merijoe :you’ve actually had a kid beaten and tased to death by 6 giant cops for nothing and video that showed 1 cop putting on gloves real slow threatening him/her- then you saw a tape of your kid yelling out “Dad dad dad and Im sorry”? and then they covered it – wow my bad

He was screaming I am sorry Dad..He thought his dad was beating the shit out of him.

    1. Excellent point and I’ll add that Ron Thomas is a compulsive liar, very hard to communicate with if you disagree with his narrow point of view and a very violent man. Just look at his current wife, she looks like a battered woman.

He lied about his law enforcement “career” and he lied about training law enforcement officers. The problem is no one called him out on it because he was really playing up the Dad angle.

Whatever he did left Kelly insane. The guy is a monster and its unfortunate that he is now benefiting off the son he never gave a crap about and likely mentally, physically and maybe even sexually abused.

That psychopath never shed a tear for his son.

    2. oh is that what it was? I guess me and a zillion other people heard wrong-but not you and your blue friends-oh do you have a link or something I can see to back that up? or is that more of the same tactic-belching BS?

  51. Fullerton Chief Issues Intent to Fire Cop Accused of Groping Women
    October 4, 2011

City Atty. Dick Jones said the city has issued a notice of intent to terminate Officer Albert Rincon.

“His badge and gun have been taken,” Jones said.

Too late. Damage already done. I don’t think women felt any safer after that…because you sure don’t need a badge and gun to fondle and rape women, when your boss (FPD) looks the other way..

    1. Please note: badge and gun were taken AFTER the taxpayers of Fullerton got soaked for $350,000. Had there been no charges filed Rincon would still be preying upon his targets.

He was screaming I am sorry Dad..He thought his dad was beating the shit out of him.

LOL. Really? You must have heard a different copy of the audio than the rest of the planet did. Don’t be so ignorant.

  53. Just know that all these trolls spewing crap about Ron Thomas are simply jealous because they are most likely cops that trained under Pat McKinley who’s training consisted of Nazi-like military tactics, completely ignorant of decent humanity.
Ron Thomas was trained properly, knowing how to apprehend a suspect without the use of a taser or other cop thugs to take down one suspect, unlike those panzi-ass McKinley trained cops that killed and allowed the brutal death beating of Kelly Thomas. However, in their distorted minds, Kelly was just another homeless person; a waste of air space, so now we’ll really show the people our IQ and disregard for citizens and blame the man of reason, his dad, Ron Thomas.
Is that the defense Ramos’ and Cicinelli’s attorneys are going to attempt.
No “dream team” of attorneys could defend this case, with accurate video and the DARs alone.

  54. AS I understand it, and Independent Review is simply for the city officials to see how the police department is following proper procedures.
I also wonder how effective and accurate it will be.

    1. Gennaco has two deals. He’s supposed to be reviewing the KT murder and do some sort of assessment of the FPD.

      1. Gennaco is running a scam. For a 6 figure fee all he does is write an a nicely worded report that makes the public feel warm and gushy and the department say “gee that wasnt so bad”.

What he doesnt tell the public though is that the department that he’s investigating has no duty or legal requirement to cooperate or even provide him with factual information.

If you want real results you have to rely on the city, county, state and federal review or investigation. They are agencies that have teeth and in the Kelly Thomas case I’m really not sure what the FPD conclusion was, the county filed charges, the state declined to get involved and the feds are still investigating.

The office of independent review is nothing more than a private business with an official sounding name like State Bank for California or California State Auction Services.

          1. Guys, I don’t know where everybody is getting their info from and it may be better than mine. But a former LEO, high-ranking, whom I actually trust (I know, I know) told me that she thought Gennaco’s report would not be a whitewash but would contain some pretty damning stuff about FPD.

            I guess we’ll see.

  55. Did that judges report have much teeth? We still have not had any kind of response from the PD or Council from that report? The WEAK SAUCE judge……stunning isnt it?

  56. At the next city council meeting, instead of everyone standing at the podium wasting time throwing out insults, why don’t you DEMAND to know what the status is of ALL pertinent investigations. DEMAND accountability for all wrongful actions!

    1. Citizen: I demand the status of all pertinent investigations!

City: The gennoco investigation …federal investigation …blah blah blah. 30 SECONDS!

Citizen: Well, okay then. So… I guess I’ll spend the remainder of my time expressing my love and admiration for Capt Hughes and Madam Mayor or should I call you Mayor Silva? …teee heee heee!

City: Thanks you’re too kind …time is up, move along.

Citizen: I feel so honored that the City of Fullerton acknowledged my existence by speaking directly to me! I have so much faith in the new leadership!

  57. The federal judge who issued that scathing report about the city’s weak response to officer misconduct (sexual misconduct) is in itself a valid reason for recall.

  58. Marisa Gerber, Chingona Cub Reporter, Leaving the Weekly to Go Back Home 🙁

But all along, Marisa was covering THE OC story of the year: the Kelly Thomas murder. Lunacy, right? A cub reporter taking on such a huge story instead of Moxley or Schou? Not only did Marisa handle it, not only did Marisa do well, not only did she excel, but she hit a grand slam in the bottom of the ninth, down three runs, in Game 7 off a damn eephus pitch. And it culminated with her majestic “The Bullies in Blue,” which documented how the Fullerton Police Department had long run roughshod over everyone and anyone. The story was an immediate smash–sources tell me the city of Fullerton is REAL mad at the Weekly right now, and I know that police spokeshole Andrew Goodrich ranted at Marisa after it got published, but f**k them! Marisa did such a great piece that Fullerton activists read the story during the public comments of this week’s Fullerton City Council meeting in its entirety.

    http://blogs.ocweekly.com/navelgazing/2011/12/marisa_gerber.php

    1. Wow, that’s a bummer. You are correct in that any newspaper will be lucky to have her though. Good Luck Marisa!!

    2. I want to know more about Marisa getting ranted at by Goodrich! Gustavo or other OC Weekliers, give us the details please.

Is ranting at reporters an official duty of police spokesholes?

  59. “The story was an immediate smash–sources tell me the city of Fullerton is REAL mad at the Weekly right now.”

AAhhh… isn’t that just too bad!

  60. merijoe :
you’ve actually had a kid beaten and tased to death by 6 giant cops for nothing and video that showed 1 cop putting on gloves real slow threatening him/her- then you saw a tape of your kid yelling out “Dad dad dad and Im sorry”? and then they covered it – wow my bad

… I’ve never owned a doll, however I would honestly like to have my very own “Merijoe” doll for a Christmas present this year.
This doll would look like Barbie does, and would sound like an edgy Joan Rivers!

  61. merijoe :oh is that what it was? I guess me and a zillion other people heard wrong-but not you and your blue friends-oh do you have a link or something I can see to back that up? or is that more of the same tactic-belching BS?

All you guys are in denial of Mr. Ron Thomas. He gonna get ripped in court. Come and be the judge of it.

  62. Tuco Ramirez :Tuco says: Officer Rincon was a good man. He was hired by Pat McPension. He offered women sexual massages with a little bit of light bondage! It was not until the City paid out $350,000 that Officer Rincon lost his job!Should I feel good about the 3 year wait time?

Sexual massages-LOL! Sorry, but that was a good laugh.

  63. Fred Alcazar :Nope. Just do a search. At least 20% of the FPD has either suspended, convicted, implicated in crimes, helped in the KT murder cover-up or quietly showed the door in just the past year or so.
And the Bald Eagle of Fullerton McKinley hired them all! he said so!

He hired them, so its his fault. You are so full of it.

  64. Was trained in lying.
