Two More “Aliens” in the FPD?

Former Fullerton Police Chief and current council recall target “Patdown” Pat McKinley once likened cops Manny Ramos and Jat Cicinelli to “aliens,” meaning, presumably, that the only plausible explanation for bad cops on his force must be a visit from extraterrestrial travelers.

Of course the litany of bad cops in the FPD has now gotten so long that you really have to wonder if McPension ever hired any regular human beings at all.

And now some more potential bad PR for the FPD – an e-mail we received about two more cops who ran into difficulties in 2009, and whose problems may have been swept under the proverbial rug:

Subject: bad cops

fpd officer christopher robert wren, date of arrest 01-30-2009, assault of a minor. case # MCH 900309 ..SH 200900572 .. but he took a deal…got probation and k9 officer………still on patrol….

officer gary potts, dui arrest date 07-17-2009. orange county case # 09cm08352… still on patrol and a corporal………

Christopher Wren, of course, was the second cop originally named in the lawsuit against the sex perv Albert “Alby Al” Rincon. His name was dropped later, but he must have some interesting stories to tell about his running buddy, Rincon. “Assault of a minor”? I wonder what that means.

The name Gary Potts is new; DUI? No bueno, if that’s true.

Naturally we’ll be looking into the these cases, particularly that of Mr. Wren to see if there’s any there, there.

  1. There is no Culture of Corruption, there is no Culture of Corruption, there is no Culture of Corruption…

      1. Fullerton is now the official laughing stock city of the country. I travel all over the country for my company and I’m embarrassed to tell people that I meet that I’m from Fullerton.

        1. LEON THIS IS HAPPENING IN EVERY COMMUNITY IN THIS COUNTRY. AS SOON AS THE CORRUPT COP UNIONS BRIBE THEIR CORRUPT COUNTERPARTS IN POLITICAL POWER YOU WILL SEE OUR RIGHTS FADE AWAY. IF THE PUBLIC DID NOT RECORD THE KELLY THOMAS EXECUTION AND PUT THE PROOF ON THE INTERNET THIS WOULD NOT BE GOING FORWARD. SADLY THIS WILL BE SQUASHED. THE RECALL WILL BE A FAILURE AND THE CITY BOSSES WILL CRUSH ALL INVOLVED THE COMMIE UPRISING. THE DA WILL THROW THE TRIAL AND THE BOYS WILL BE BACK ON THE STREETS FOR SOME PAYBACK.

          1. THE CITY BOSSES WILL CRUSH ALL INVOLVED THE COMMIE UPRISING.

You’re either incredibly dumb or a troll.

AND THE BOYS WILL BE BACK ON THE STREETS FOR SOME PAYBACK.

Yeah, keep dreaming. “Jerry” when your contact is up with the city, you and your boys at on Commonwealth avenue will be back on the streets …pushing carts because you’re not going to have a job when we’re done with you scum.

  2. Another fine example of community-oriented policing; another thousand dollar door prize and millions of dollars legal settlements paid by the good people of Fullerton via our city council

  3. Oh sweet iridescent glow in the dark baby jebus, not another one, but two more rotten apples! Is it ever going to end?

  4. One thing is absolutely true.

Cops are not held to a “higher standard” as it’s generally communicated to the public.

They are held to a “lower standard”.

And there is example after example to prove that to be a true statement.

Always remember that: Highest pay and lowest standards.

  5. When good people, police or otherwise, come forward and share information about the bad officers on the force, the public wins. Thank you, unidentified insider!

  6. Not just FPD.

I recall when the sheriff’s harbormaster (a lieutenant) was arrested a couple years ago for DUI while driving her government issued car after causing an accident. She never lost her county job either.

There is no ‘higher standard’ in law enforcement. They protect their own.

  7. Due to the Police Officer Bill of Rights (POBOR)if these allegations are true the court records are probably sealed and you won’t be able to access them. Systemic secrecy protects them from public scrutiny. Just like in the police states of the 3rd world banana republics. No different.

    1. Very interesting, the fact that these officers were charged and convicted of crimes is proof of a system of cover ups. We at FFFF would also like to know which officers have had divorces and who’s kids have learning disabilities.

      1. I’d like to know why a cop who assaulted a kid would still be working as a cop. Anywhere.

As far as officers divorces, I assume most have or be divorced at least once or twice. Nobody cares about that unless there’s a record of spousal abuse that has been swept under the rug (not uncommon).

As far as the kids poor learning abilities, nobody cares, either. After all, the poor kids don’t have a lot of intellectual genetic material bequeathed them. Many of them are likely to follow in GED dad’s footsteps.

        1. Fred. Thats the old days. Now you have seen here how pissed the wives get when ignored. OJ case made it clear cut. New laws last 5 years made punishment clear cut. Hit your spouse, male or female, lose your job cause can’t carry a gun anymore.

          1. Deputy George Graves of RCSD was a wife beater and allowed to plead down. He kept his gun and badge, he was such a good cop that he got all drunk and stoned and proceeded to shoot at a bar that cut him off. Glad he got a pass on that wife beating thing. Only people getting guns taken away seem to be non LEO types.

        2. It wasn’t assault. Kid was caught vandalizing his house. And the kid got caught! Awww…. Kids. The gift that keeps on giving!! But then again no one will discipline the KID! Where are the parents?! Thats why the Officer is still working. Cause he did nothing wrong. He caught the lil criminal! Funny, if it was Harry the hardware man instead of an officer everyone one would high five the home owner! This guy didn’t do anything that thousands of other homeowners haven’t done over the years. He protected his home from a shithead vandal. No one was injured or assaulted. The parents protected their rotten apple gang banger wanna be shithead of a kid. This guy got screwed because he was a cop. Cops are human too. That’s the problem. People forget that. What would you do if someone vandalized your house and you caught them? Most people would beat the person up. Because this guy’s a cop that did not happen. Just remember that.

          1. What? No brake check? Screen test? Broken fingers? Stomping on head? Slamming head into car? Nothing?
Poor guy should have called Tong, Thayer, Cicinelli, Hampton or one of the other FPD brutality specialists. They could have shown him the right way to handle a vandal. Or college student. Or mouthy civilian. Or non-mouthy civilian. Well you get the point. They’re all resisting arrest anyway.

            1. …..likely has a few of the aforementioned injuries or his brothers in blue would not have arrested him. If you’re innocent you don’t plea bargain

          2. Sez you, coplicker (gift that keeps giving)…if there was nothing to it then there wouldn’t be a case number on him -just remember that.

He’s still working because of dirty lowdown urinal cakes who keep coddling, making excuses and protecting each other and he probably faked yelled “stop resisting” into his DAR.

            1. I’m so glad your on here merijoe! I’ve been wronged too.. Its good to have no life and get justice! Cause when its all said and done.. Nothing will change anyway!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL!!!! Our plan as FFF is working!!

              1. > Nothing will change anyway!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL!!!! Our plan as FFF is working!!

John “Cincinelli” Doe is that you?

            2. @ merijoe.. You talk with such conviction.. So lady like.. FYI You can catch a case and NOT BE GUILTY .. That’s why all criminals are guilty until proven innocent.. No urinal cakes can help no one in any department. It can get dimissed and stay on your record!! Everyone has to pay restitution.’Whatever it’s for. Not just because its a cop or coplicker or burger flipper or landscaper or fireman or,or,or… That goes for every person. Not just because its a cop. Then again everyone hear”s cop they see dollar $igns..

          3. Bullshit he attacked the wrong kid and he threatened his father. It was the school teacher that reported it. Nice try!

            1. The teacher saw the graffiti stuff in the kids back pack! They didn’t submit it as evidence! No far from Bullshit!

                1. The father and family saw he was a cop they dollar signs.. is that why carol

    2. I was able to locate the dui record at http://www.occourts.org. Here is the sentencing info for Potts.

      1 1 09/18/2009 3 years Probation
      2 2 09/18/2009 Sentenced stayed
      3 1 09/18/2009 $390.00 Fines
      4 1 09/18/2009 9 months First Offender Alcohol Program
5 1 09/18/2009 Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) Victim’s Impact Panel
      6 1 09/18/2009 10 days Community Service

          1. Cops are punished but not terminated unless injury. 2nd offense termination possible. Nothing on policy for discipline but usually 30 days off for first offense. Yes been tons of cops in Calif and the US with DUIs. As I say, just like other humans.

            1. Human? The person has a job that requires public safety and judgement at all times- human?
              Plus preaches against DUI’s…
I would think Mr policeman would have at least driven a car, sober.

Certain professions with license reqirements, will not license you if you get 1 DUI in California-they don’t say “well he/she is only human”

You pay the consequences for your actions in one way or another-human or not, mistake or not.

              1. True. Bad mistake to make. I thought firing long ago and then saw over the years no one was fired. Discipline varies from PD to PD. Haven’t ever heard of a firing for misdemeanor DUI. Just the normal expensive and painful process.

Some feel punishment should be different for cops. I don’t. Equal and fair down the line per the written laws.

                1. Equal and fair punishment would include being fired. I would be fired from my job (like many before me) if I got a DUI. Just how it is. It’s just sad that the enforcers of such laws aren’t held as accountable, not to mention they almost always get it plead down to something different or not charged at all.

                  Equal and fair? C’mon.

                2. Every police department is the same. A cop can do a very minuet thing in the form of getting in trouble and get demoted or days off. Some other cop could do something really bad and that cop gets promoted. It is who you are.

      1. Why don’t the Mothers Against Drunk Drivers (MADD) ever speak out about cops who get busted for it and keep their jobs???

Have you ever heard MADD condemn cops with DUI’s since they are supposed to be held to that mythical “higher standard”?

The only time I see MADD with cops is when they are giving out awards. Just like politicians.

Is MADD in on it too???

          1. Cops (detectives) have been busted for DUI while driving their government issued cars while on the clock. The ones I read about didn’t lose their jobs.

Yet if a civilian (ie, a salesman for a private company) was driving a company-issued car and was driving drunk AND CAUSED AN ACCIDENT TO BOOT – he would be gone as soon as the company found out about it – if for nothing else – liability reasons.

So you are wrong. MADD doesn’t treat everyone ‘equally’ when it comes to DUI’s.

Besides, cops shouldn’t be treated “equally”. They are supposed to be held to that mythical “higher standard”.

            1. Agree. On duty in city car should fired. Off duty with injury or death is a felony so fired.

MADD has nothing to do with punishments of cops. They fight for laws.

You said the magic word. Mythical.

              1. WRONG. Oceanside has a cop who had a rollover accident DUI. Passenger injured and taken to hospital. The DA needed the union support and he got a pass….. Still on the job with a gun and a badge.

              2. > MADD has nothing to do with punishments of cops.

Nice wording my LEO Cultist friend. Madd consistently looks the other way when officers are involved in DUIs and they refuse to hold officers at a higher standard than the general public.

While Madd does a lot of good work, a large majority of their efforts is spent working as a PR firm for government agencies.

The red cross on the other hand does not.

                > They fight for laws.

They do a lot more than that. You of all people should know this.

  8. Corruption at FPD? Say it ain’t so, I am shocked!

Thank you unidentified source, I hope many more are inspired by you and come forward. I still have hope there might be a good cop or too left on the FPD, but my hopes have been dimming.

side note: I wish you could access LA county records they way you can OC, they aren’t even in the 21st centruy yet.

    1. LA county records are accessible but you have to pay to search. Riverside Co the same. OC is free

      1. Orange Cape Hides Me :
LA county records are accessible but you have to pay to search. Riverside Co the same. OC is free

yes, that is what I discovered..let’s say I wanted to follow a criminal case and paid for a search, if I wanted to later find out status on the same case, would i have to pay again?

  9. Yes, thank you anonymous givers-Strong American’s helping your neighbors.
    Thomas Jefferson would be proud.

Without a doubt, the trustworthy people at FFFF will always protect the identities of anonymous donors- hope this will attract more to come forward.

    1. Not with the likes of Judge Juanita Guerrero (real or fake) assuming she can guess who inside info comes from and then out them.

Either this person has a huge ego or self esteem issues and needs to let everyone know how bright she is (not) or it’s just another idiot who gets off on attention and posting nonsense to stir chit. meh

  10. Do you think he had to have a vehicle ignition interlock device installed in his police cruiser 🙂

      1. They should have lost their jobs. They are the enforcers.

        Again, the mythical “higher standard”.

        1. If everyone in the world should automatically lose their jobs, then I’ll agree. You will never be able to discriminate punishments on the books just for cops. Of course you can try. I believe in equal punishment for law breakers. Cops or not. But if they want to punish everyone with job loss, that’s fine too.

          1. Civilians who get busted for DUI while driving company cars are terminated just for liability purposes alone. I have known many a salesman who got caught. NONE kept their jobs. So what you say is completely untrue.

There have been cops in OC who not only were driving drunk – they were driving drunk in their police vehicles and CAUSED AN ACCIDENT while doing so. The ones I read about KEPT THEIR JOBS.

Besides, cops claim to be held to a “higher standard”. This is just more proof that they are actually held to a “lower standard”

So you have no idea of what you speak.

              1. Go F yourself.

The former harbormaster for OCSD was busted for DUI while driving her official government issued police vehicle after she rear ended another car at the exit off the 5 freeway on Jamboree Road. This happened 3-4 years ago. She pled guilty. Last I heard she was working in the OC jail and didn’t lose any rank whatsoever. So she kept her county police job.

All you do is run cover for these hypocrites. You are no better than they are.

And the ‘higher standard’ claim is total BS.

                1. Lol you two are so classy.

                  Wtf is a harbormaster?

Yes I know reality hurts both of you. You refuse to accept some people are good people. Even cops.

                  Kiss me.

              2. One of FPD cops got a DUI in an unmarked car and did not get fired…Research it, it did happen… FPD is corrupt. They just punish who they want.

            1. In private sector most are fired, its has to do with insurance issues. A private employer pays the cost of commercial auto and an employee with a DUI is prohibitively expensive, Commercial auto is more expensive than private policy for similar coverage

The second factor is also insurance related. If a drunk employee causes bodily injury, death and/or property damage, the claim can exceed the employers insurance limits and then the employer is on the hook to pay the balance

  11. you forgot about Corporal Park. He got a DUI in Corona in the narcotic vehicle he was assigned. The CHP even gave him a ride home and one of the CHP officers drove the city vehicle to his house and parked it… This DUI=no discipline…..

    1. Then that wasn’t a DUi right? He got the wrong treatment. Recently? Or years ago? Sounds like that San Berdu PD Chief and the mess from his DUI crash in his city vehicle.

      1. Here’s a story for you, idiot. Read it and weep:

“Moran, an 18-year veteran of the Sheriff’s Department at the time of the crash, also was put on unpaid leave but now works as a patrol deputy, L.A. Sheriff’s spokesman Steve Whitmore said Tuesday.”

        http://www.ocregister.com/news/-301028–.html

This cop blew over .08 while driving his police vehicle in Stanton. He ran a red and severely injured another motorist resulting in nearly a $5M settlement. HE’S STILL A COP WORKING FOR THE SAME AGENCY!!!

Again, you don’t know what the F you’re talking about. The proof is in the pudding.

        1. Lol so angry you are?
Read what I wrote. I said misdemeanor DUIs aren’t fired for first offense. Odd how he could plead to misd DUI with those noted injuries. Something doesn’t add up. Maybe preferential treatment? Who knows.

          Misd DUIs aren’t terminated.

      2. this one is a real gem and it resulted in another officer being fired for covering up.

This former OC Sheriff, Alan James Waters, was in a small fender bender in 2010 in Laguna Niguel and let go by a fellow OC Sheriff responding to the collision although Waters was severely intoxicated. Waters drove 2 more miles only to become involved in a more serious collision that caused bodily injury on the same road – Golden Lantern.

When Waters showed up for his court date he was arrested for intoxication in the court.

An investigation of the incident led to the termination of the OC Sheriff who let him go at the scene of the firs accident

        1. One person was forced out because he was reluctant to engage in the cover up. Its been awhile but I think it was Officer John De La Rosa.

Speaking of the Riverside Police, the new chief is ex-lapd along with two other high ranking members so I would keep a close “eye” on who they bring on board over the next year. They may owe McKinley or Hillman a favor.

Please don’t turn a blind eye to the Riverside Police if you get what eye’m saying.

  12. Reality Is :Lol you two are so classy.
    Wtf is a harbormaster?
Yes I know reality hurts both of you. You refuse to accept some people are good people. Even cops.
    Kiss me.

What a moron. He doesn’t even know what the “OCSD Harbormaster” is in OC. It’s the top cop in charge of harbor patrol, you imbecile.

She was busted for DUI after causing an accident. No loss of rank. And she kept her county job.

There, I proved you’re an ahole.

    Take that! 😀

  13. I hope you guys can find out more about this Wren character. As noted he was originally listed in that lawsuit along with Rincon. “Assault of a minor” isn’t a crime I’ve ever heard of, but somebody certainly has some information about Wren’s interaction with a minor.

It will be interestng to see how the “prosecutorial yteam” treats one of its own, as opposed to say, Veth Mam.

  14. If a police agency arrests a cop for a DUI that they could have arranged a ride home for they risk being ostracized by the Law Enforcement community- especially if it is a cop from a neighboring agency.
Case in point Brea PD- several years ago they arrested a Fullerton cop and then a LaHabra cop for Dui. To this day they are considered outcasts by North Orange County PD’s and many other agencies as well. (Refer to officer.com). There is a professional courtesy standard that has always existed in LE.

    1. Professional courtesy!? Wow if the private sector was like an OC Police Department then the banking system would collapse…..oh wait……

      1. Tom- I hear you my friend but human nature is what it is no matter if you are an investment banker or a cop- its about self preservation although in the case of the bankers you can add naked greed to the formula. In a perfect world………..

  15. Add a City of Downey cop to that list Mr.Wallace.

The Brea cops had to use some force on the Downey cop during his arrest.

Caused quite a stir among some Chiefs at the time.

The Chief at the time was questioned by some other Chiefs and ask why no “professional courtesy” was extended.

The Brea Chief said he didn’t want the heat for he cover up.

Someone was thinking outside the box.

    1. and for good reason…the deputy who gave Alan James Waters “professional courtesy” despite the fact Waters was heavily intoxicated was terminated.

As soon as Waters was let go from the scene of a small fender bender in Laguna Niguel , he drove 2 more miles only to cause another accident with bodily injury.

Not worth job loss trying to cover for somebody’s poor choices

    2. ACU- There is definitely a catch-22 with professional courtesy and a fine line to be walked. On the one hand, if you alienate your agency from the rest of law enforcement you risk becoming ineffectual and irrelevant.
At the same time you must consider public scrutiny and the potential for civil/criminal liability. But when you put out a 999, its nice to know that cops from other agencies are gonna bust their butts to get there.

      1. Sounds like some training about substance abuse and addiction would be in line after the training about mental illness. Sometimes not holding someone accountable (giving them “professional courtesy”) for their behavior is hurting them, not helping them. Some kind of intervention and being held accountable is important in helping someone with a substance abuse problem recover. I have treated many police officers, among people of other professions, for substance abuse. Our city has very clear standards and guidelines. Getting a DUI is not necessarily grounds for dismissal. Our city has an EAP to whom a police officer or any city employee would be referred if they had a positive alcohol or drug screen at work or drug related arrest when not at work. The EAP refers to a substance abuse professional for an assessment. The employee is required by the city to follow the recommendations of the substance abuse assessment. For example, they may be required to go to an Intensive Outpatient Program for substance abuse. They would be required to complete the program successfully and follow recommendations for aftercare made by the program following completion of the program. In our city, the EAP meets with the city employee at the last session of the substance abuse treatment program with the primary counselor to get feedback about their progress and recommendations following discharge from the program. This is generally a positive meeting in terms of feedback from the substance abuse professional. The EAP goes over an agreement with the city employee that basically outlines the requirements by the city–I think they are expected to meet with the EAP monthly, until the EAP determines the meetings can be cut back to fewer, and they are made aware that they are subject to random drug screens for two years. So the city employee has a choice between following the treatment recommendations and follow up identified by the EAP or being fired. If they go with keeping their job and doing the treatment, there is very often a high rate of success. People who are committed to their work but also have substance abuse problems are more likely to successfully complete treatment when they are being required to do so as a condition of keeping their jobs. Even if they are unhappy about it at first, by the end of treatment in a good treatment program, they will have come around. They are also told that if they find they are having difficulty staying clean and sober following treatment, or even if they relapse, as long as they go to the EAP and let them know rather than “getting caught” the EAP will continue to help them–a relapse would not necessarily mean they would be terminated as long as they are up front about it. Having a policy in place that allows for treatment of substance abuse problems can be extremely effective as long as it is done consistently. It is a way of holding people accountable while at the same time providing treatment and support. People may, or may not, be surprised to know about the broad range of people and professions we treated, including police officers.

      2. You are correct Mr.Wallace.

I say BUT, those very ones with badges who “EXPECT” that treatment, will be NO WHERE around if you get caught in the cover up, and are disciplined or fired.

SO, I agree and always have with Orange Cape Hides Me, analogy.

The courts, civil service, and I find NO case law that supports the “brotherhood” and “professional coutesy” motto as a defense to covering up crime.

Some will say you can use your discreation, but then again that is in the eyes of the beholder.

  16. Leon :
Fullerton is now the official laughing stock city of the country. I travel all over the country for my company and I’m embarrassed to tell people that I meet that I’m from Fullerton.

Well, let’s take stock of what has happened:

A young, innocent man who was a mentally-ill drifter has lost his life in the most terrible of ways. His family is left in a state of mental anguish and disbelief. The police department has come under huge scrutiny and is no longer trusted by the people it serves. The city council has been divided and three of its members are going to be recalled. Worldwide media scrutiny has portrayed a negative view of the city to a massive audience. It will take years for the reputation of the city to be rectified.

All of this due to the actions of one, Mr. Ramos!

    1. My heart goes out to the fine citzens of Fullerton. You don’t deserve the international ridicule. Your leaders and your city employees really let you down. You have every right to be livid. They hijacked the city government that you pay to fund. The city employees owe you a huge apology for tarnishing your city’s reputation and dragging the residents through the mud. You should demand it.

  17. You may publish this. But protect my identity?! Is the same one I know the people of Fullerton would not like to be protected by! The same person who is asking protect my identity? really!? The same PERSON who in fact IS the BIGGEST supporter of Officers J. Cicinelli and M. Ramos! The same person who is a drunk! And who has been investigated for domestic violence! Who in FACT was DEMOTED for trying to get all OFFICERS of FPD not to work, and just shut down in protest of the charges that where filed on officer M.Ramos due to the Kelly Thomas incident who in FACT was the main person trying to get officer M.Ramos bailed OUT!! Who in FACT left the department on stress relief because HE could NOT perform his duties as a Police Officer! So I ask you my fine fellow neighbors of Fullerton, and as I live in this fine city as well. The same person who is trying to hide is the same supporter like I said WHO in FACT is the same person asking to hide! And thank god he is not protecting our city! Officer BEN LIRA!! To ask for protection is awful! Your the same as the rest! The residents of Fullerton will be correctly informed!!..

    1. If you’re going to pass along information to anyone DO NOT use your police department computer. Everything you type or send from your pd desktop and mobile computer is logged.

Since FFFF copies and pastes information from the directly source, investigators can do a quick search for certain words like 09cm08352 and see who submitted that information if he or she used their work issued computer.

There are plenty of open free wifi networks at places like McDonalds, Starbucks, etc that you can use to pass along information if you don’t want to do it from home.

You don’t even have to get out of the car to access those networks.

      Stay safe guys!

    2. Yo, judge, kindly STFU. Thank you, that is all.

Wait…that’s not all. While many are curious about who insider leaks are, we’d much rather have their info than their identity. You can’t have both in most cases. You come across with a level of self-importance that translates to self-serving.

        1. I agree with that statement. Perhaps FPD trolls are using these posts to start a witch hunt just to see who might crack?

    3. Thank you for setting the record straight. Now we have someone to blame and it’s Lira. Is he also responsible for the corrupt pd and it’s management who knowingly covered everything up?

        1. BC: That comment was to you, not about you. (I just realized it could’ve been taken the wrong way.)

      1. Ben Lira is not corrupt. He has had it with FPD. He has seen so much and has said nothing. Maybe he will one day. I hope he does…He has wood on lot of high Rankers.

  18. I as well will be looking into these cases of officers Ricon, Wren, Potts. Potts! I also have been arrested for DUI! No one is perfect! FPD OFFICER BEN LIRA is wrongly informing us as residents of Fullerton!!! DUI! Is not a label of a bad officer! ‘OFFICER BEN LIRA!!!! Beating a innocent person is!! (Kelly Thomas) OFFICER BEN LIRA YOUR A SUPPORTER OF BAD BEHAVIOR! Shame on YOU! And trying to get officers to stop working in protest of The Officer (s) who beat people is WRONG! I want truth and correct fact! And I will get it for me as well as for the residents of Fulleton! BEN LIRA you mean BEN LAIR!!!

    1. No judge would grace this post with such poor English as yourself. Please exit stage right.

    2. Benny boy used the police station number to solicit money to bail out his homeboys. The guy is a real dumbass.

    3. What is wrong with him trying to get officers to stop working in protest? What did you do for your brothers…It looks like nothing. So You think the officers are guilty? If you do you are a piece of shit. I wish there was more officers like Ben Lira that are sick of the corruption in Fullerton. You are just a weenie that has no guts to come forward and really say what is going on. You must be kissing Hughes ass for a promotion. Keep on kissing it. Cause that is what they like ass kissers. Good Luck!

      1. So You think the officers are guilty? If you do you are a piece of shit.

We’ve seen the video. This isn’t a matter of guilt or innocence even their lawyers aren’t arguing innocence.

wish there was more officers like Ben Lira that are sick of the corruption in Fullerton.

HA! Are you kidding me? …Seems to me he’s afraid of the corruption being found and rooted out.

        Remember this?

        Hello Everyone,

My name is Benjamin Lira and I’m a Police Officer with the City of Fullerton. You won’t know my name but will recognize where I work since recent events have put our department in the spot light. In the upcoming months, if not years, many of us face an uphill battle. This battle is none greater than the battle my friend of over 10 years faces. I’m here to ask for your help and tell you my friend is NOT a murderer. Many, if not all of you, have your own opinion as to what took place on July 5th. There’s no doubt we’ve become the subject of many briefings, if not debates.

I’m writing you today not to discuss or debate the facts in this case but to point out the results of this trial will affect how Law Enforcement is conducted in our State and possibly Country.

Manuel Ramos is a father of three boys ages 6, 11, 12 and the step father of two boys. He was born and raised in Fullerton and has deep roots in this Community. His mother is a retired Fullerton parking control officer and his father is a retired Police Officer from Orange County. Some of you may question Manuel Ramos the Officer but you would love Manuel Ramos the person.

The family has explored all options and currently has no means to post bail. I’ve asked the family to set up a bank account and begin the process of asking for donations. You can help by going to your local Bank of America and asking the teller to fill out a deposit slip in the name of MANUEL RAMOS account number 11656-70195. Donations can also be made for Bank of America and Wells Fargo customers by going online and selecting “Make Transfer” and continue with the prompts on each banks website. To complete this online deposit you will need; the account name, “Manuel Ramos” and zip code “92838.”

This isn’t a scheme to take your money, and if you’ve read this far, I’m sure you’re considering donating. For your assurance, I ask that anyone with doubts call the front desk of the Fullerton Police Department and verify my information and purpose. I can also be reached at friendsofmanuelramos@yahoo.com. My promise to you is that I will make sure every cent donated will go toward Manuel’s bail. My hope and prayer is to have Manuel Ramos come home to his family.

Please, I implore you to write down the account number and consider giving what you can (no amount is too small). If 1,000 people contribute $50 or 2,000 people give $25, we will have met our goal. I sincerely hope you consider helping a fellow brother in need. Please pass along this email and don’t hesitate to contact me with any questions.
        Benjamin Lira

        1. BTDT..Yeah I do remember that letter. He was the only one that had the balls to do anything for a friend. Yeah the other so call cops really hid behind their badges. Management has everyone running scared for their jobs.
Their attorneys have no problem going to trail. I am sure they have dealt with loonies like you all.

          1. > He was the only one that had the balls to do anything for a friend. Yeah the other so call cops really hid behind their badges.

So in other words, other FPD officers had some morals and were also disgusted by Manny and your actions. Interesting and also good to know.

This also explains why he had to reach out for outside donations.

            > Management has everyone running scared for their jobs.

            Even better.

            > Their attorneys have no problem going to trail.

They’re getting paid either way. By the way Cincinelli, your neurons are misfiring again. You may want to see that TBI specialist we talked about a day ago.

            1. Yeah, I would hate to work in a Police department where everyone is walking on egg shells. They are to afraid to tell a few loonies to FU.
Yeah, the attorneys are getting paid. But we are sure glad that they are those attorneys. Thank you Police Protection League.

              1. > I would hate to work in a Police department where everyone is walking on egg shells.

Cicinelli I’m sure you miss having to tackle little girls and beat people’s faces in with your taser. You had a second chance that you will never have again and you blew it. Trina must be proud.

                > Yeah, the attorneys are getting paid.

                Yes, that is a given.

                > But we are sure glad that they are those attorneys.

Until the appeal but by then you’ll be on your own because your union is only going to protect you once.

                > Thank you Police Protection League.

Umm Jay remember you no longer work for the LAPD so the “protection” league wouldn’t offer you representation in this case.

              2. “Yeah, I would hate to work in a police department where everyone is walking on egg shells. They are too (the correct useage) afraid to tell a few loonies to FU (fuck off, I presume?).

Yeah, the attorneys are getting paid, but we are sure glad to see them (you don’t need to reference the subject twice in the same sentence). Thank you Police Protection League”

Mr. Doe, remember there are different forms of the word to (two, too, and to). Be sure to use the correct one! Also, don’t be afraid of proper sentence structure! Hopefully my corrections can teach you a few things and we can jump start your blogging career!

    1. Most cop lickers and abusive police officers don’t. Rapey Rincon’s facebook posts is a perfect example.

  19. Couldn’t say it better… thanks JustUs!

    One thing is absolutely true.

Cops are not held to a “higher standard” as it’s generally communicated to the public.

They are held to a “lower standard”.

And there is example after example to prove that to be a true statement.

Always remember that: Highest pay and lowest standards.

  20. The biggest threat to cops are fellow cops who snitch them off. Insiders with inside information. Nothing is perceived as more dangerous to LE. And that is why the risks are so high for honest cops to step forward and point out wrongdoings by other cops. Ostracism is putting it lightly. An honest cop who does the right thing is likely placing his own safety at risk. That’s why you rarely see or hear of an honest cop coming forward. He wants to make a living and make it home at night to be with his family. So the honest cops turn a blind eye. Yet many still go to church on Sunday. The mental conflict must surely be enormous. God bless those with the courage to expose injustice, even if it is done anonymously. God bless! 😉

    1. “in hiding” tells it all??? Then why are we all hiding on FFF.. Coming up with Anonymous names to hide behind? We are guilty of hiding something LOL!!!!!!!!!!

      1. > Coming up with Anonymous names to hide behind?

Now you’re just grasping at straws.

        > We are guilty of hiding something LOL!!!!!!!!!!

Sometimes I download music without paying for it, I guess that means you and ramos are free to go.

  21. Cops guilty of DUI on-duty should be terminated. Cops guilty of DUI off-duty should be demoted, suspended without pay, or have an official reprimand placed in their personnel file at a minimum. If they only uphold the law on-duty, then what does that say about their level of respect for the law?? They should be held to high standards. There are plenty of people waiting in line to serve their community as police officers. Get rid of the ones who view their public safety role as a paycheck and not a profession.

    Matt

    1. I would agree with you that on-duty DUI should be termination. Off-duty DUI’s all those neat suggestions are in place some are even disciplined with termination. I wish you didn’t jump on this FFFF bandwagon Matt otherwise you would have been a viable option. Not for me this time or my family members who do live in Fullerton and vote.

      1. I’m with Matt on this one since an officer who is now unable to drive a patrol car due to DMV or insurance restrictions, has greatly diminished his/her capabilities to perform the job that he/she is paid to do and should be sent home until they are qualified to do each and every job they’re paid well to do.

      2. Not sure how I’ve “jumped on the FFFF bandwagon.” My comments reflect my own thoughts. I participate in this blog to reach voters across Fullerton, since this is the most popular political blog for Fullerton issues. When I am on here making comments, it is in order to get my voice heard on the issues. I think that as a candidate, it would be a mistake not to take part. Clearly, you read the FFFF blog, so how are you any different? Of course, there are some candidates who prefer not to weigh in on important issues. That’s certainly a technique. I prefer taking a stand, even if it incurs some risk that people (yourself perhaps) might not agree.

        -Matt

        1. Matt here is the difference. You are running for a council seat that may be up for grabs because of a wealthy individual who has financed the recall effort and I am not running for any political office. Also you should understand that not everyone who reads this blog believes everything that is printed here or shares the same opinions specifically the hatred towards anyone who works for the city and is earning a pension. What I’m telling you is that you may have some good traits and skills but I just see you as an extension for this blog’s candidates.

          1. In defense of Matt, I don’t. I think Chaffee is a better choice right now, but I’d be fine with Matt winning and at this point I would be happy to see him win a Council seat in November.

    2. Rowe, you assume if a police officer gets a DUI, then he or she does not or will not uphold the laws of our land. If a taxpayer flubs even a little on his or her taxes, does that mean he or she does or will shoplift, steal credit cards, speed through red lights and essentially menace society with their presence?
I’ve noticed when people strive for political office, their reasoning shrinks and hyperbole takes its place.

      1. Van, of course I don’t believe in a zero-defects system. It’s understandable that people will err and commit transgressions. I don’t think that all transgressions or “crimes” are equal, and I don’t think that someone who gets a speeding ticket is going to commit burglary. My point is that DUI is a very serious transgression. If a police officer does it on-duty, they should be terminated. If it happens off duty- then it still reflects on their ability to do their job, which is enforcing the law. That’s not the same for someone who may be a clerk, or machinist, or sales executive. They are not charged with upholding laws, as a profession. I think cops should be held to a standard that reflects the ethics of their profession. Generally, in the Army, commanders with a DUI (any time) are relieved of their position and a letter of reprimand is placed in their personnel file that affects promotions. There are exceptions, but I think it’s quite reasonable to say that a DUI off-duty should merit disciplinary action for people whose job it is to enforce such laws.

        1. Matt do you know if officers involved in off-duty transgressions receive discipline? It seems that you assume they are not. That’s what I’m concerned about you regarding “jumped on the FFFF bandwagon”. You are out there bashing the entire police department (just like the regular bloggers here and most don’t live in this city) and you appear to not know how the discipline process works. Maybe you should speak to someone who knows about this area and get some valuable information. Matt has FPD done anything good in your eyes? Nothing positive will ever see print here. Just curious if you have the mindset that the entire police department is evil like your “friends” believe. Day in and day out there are hard working people who do a great job in Fullerton and under difficult circumstances.

          1. Quick response to your post:
            1) I don’t assume that off-duty DUIs receive no disciplinary action. I’m sure each incident is handled differently. We cannot know, however; because the POBOR restricts that information from becoming public. What I advocate is that these offenses SHOULD have career consequences for the offenders. Whether that is happening right now, only the cops know.

            2) I do not bash the entire police department. I have only spoken out against transgressions. When cops do their jobs well, they should be praised. Yes, I have seen them do good work. My friend, Becky Holt, had her stolen iPhone returned to her after calling FPD for assistance, and Officer Phu was the primary person involved. Thanks to him.

            3) According to the California law, only the cops are privy to know how each offense is handled. The discipline process is opaque because it is shrouded in secrecy by the law…not due to my lack of understanding.

            4) No, I don’t believe the entire PD is evil. You accuse me of believing what my “friends” believe, but who are these “friends” other than some people on here who happen to agree with certain statements I have made. Please don’t lump everyone on FFFF into the same bag.

            Thanks for your thoughtful consideration.
            – Matt

    1. The CPA firm/employees are licensed with the State of CA. They overlooked egregious accounting errors and rubber stamped the accounting reports.

Gennaco is licensed as an attorney. Since we have no way of knowing what was contained in the second report regarding the FPD, I don’t think you can make a leep and say he is grossly incompetent in his review of the agency. In fact didn’t the letters go out after his second report was released?

I don’t think the Cal Bar would consider his review and recommendation of the FPD procedures and policies as the practice of law

    2. Sorry, no. A firm get disciplined for violating standards. The Genacco firm has never demonstrated any standard, except acceptance by the LA County Supervisors, and the media, and a certain cousin of mine.

  22. We are all guilty of hiding something!! Cops or bankers or church folk or burger flippers or landscapers ect ect… Everyone hates cops but we call them when we need them.. And when we do something wrong and get caught we want to blame and sue. Cause you can get money from a department not a poor shmoe!! Oh I forgot silly me this is about hating cops.. . I got off the train for a min. LOL!! Yea I don’t like getting a ticket for passing a red light, or getting arrested for a DUI but I have … Im no different from a cop and neither are any of you.. . Im human just like the rest of the you. Cops, bankers, landscapers, burger flippers, ect ect… We are all hiding something. LOL!!

    1. > Everyone hates cops but we call them when we need them..

Here we go again with that tired old cliche. Someone posted a rather nice list of commonly used cliches used by those defending abusive cops. I wish I could find that post.

      > And when we do something wrong and get caught we want to blame and sue.

      Huh?

      > Im human just like the rest of the you.

So is Charles Manson, Ted Bundy, John Wayne Gacy, etc. Not sure what your point is.

      1. Tired cliches to hide those who are abusive? LOL!! We are all abusive, weather yelling at the customer service person on the other end of the line or whatever it may be spanking the dog cause he pissed on our carpet. Charles Manson Ted Bundy John Wayne Gacy?? Whats your point?you Cant compare! Cause aren’t you glad they got CAUGHT!!?? As well as these idots who beat Kelly Thomas? All the above you stated are sick! Their is no cliche!! Humans are human in all walks of life and employment! We all have it in us!! Whether we act on it is another story If I was wronged wich I have been! I’d want money from a good source not the grocery store clerk who slap me and doesn’t have any money to give me! Isnt thats why we sue we are protected as criminals too! LOL!! Its in all of us. Not jus cops.. Bash me back all you want correct my grammar if that makes you happy. But then again thats the human race and if you answer this I have proven my point!! We are here just to ask question with a question bash each other with a quick bash back blah blah blah blah we all have opinions like we have a asshole attached to our butt! ‘Oh hay thats a cliche! LOL!!! Im out! This isnt FFF.. LOL!! Y’all are people who are mad just like me!! Nothing is gonna change LOL!! !! Nothing! Answer back comment back. This is gonna go to another angry wronged person like me! Great! What a waste.. I thought real people where gonna hear me.. Damn nothing is gonna change!! People are people..in all walks of life..

        1. Change is coming and we will all see to it that Fullerton is not going to be run like a banana republic anymore. The sleeping giant has awoken and boy did the thugs put on a horror show for the residents never to be outdone.

  23. Its etc, etc not ect ect and further, good one Miss Cleo, you know everyone and how they feel about cops.

We call them when we need them because we pay taxes for supposed public safety, but actually it’s turned into nothing but welfare for the legalized paid Keystone cops.

    1. Oh hi you must be one of me.. That’s been wronged that’s why u are on here too.. If gives you pleasure to correct my grammar Miss Cleo Thanks You.. Im glad to see you are no different then me angry too for all my wrong doings so its easier to attack me .. Thanks 🙂

      1. > Oh hi you must be one of me.. That’s been wronged that’s why u are on here too..

John “Cincinelli” Doe is that you?

        1. > And we all pay taxes DUH!!!!!! Mrs. Sherlock!

What the hell are you babbling about?

          1. @ Dough for brains.. Did you not read the attack I recieved from merijoe?? She stated “Ect ect not ect ect ‘”we pay taxes. So my reply was “We all pay taxes DUH!!!! Mrs merijoe Sherlock! She attacked me on my grammar.. But if thats why she is on here instead of talking bout whats really going on. I thought this was FFF not teachers correction 101!

            1. @Anonymous,
Now, let me try to get this straight. I believe you stated, or inferred, that you:

              are a human,

              who pays taxes,

who may flip burgers or be a cop, a banker, a landscaper or a churchperson,

you have been arrested for a DUI,

when you do something wrong you want to blame someone and then sue,

you hate cops, but you call them when you need them,

and you just “…got off the train for a min.”

And, you are also “hiding something.”

After reading your comments, I only have one question: Did you, or a family member, friend, or significant other, help to murder Kelly Thomas??

I know that I didn’t, so speak for yourself.

  24. Why does McKinley always have a scowl on his face? Does he own a set of teeth? I don’t think I’ve ever seen a man present such a negative, caustic disposition as his before.

  25. I’m a private pilot. If I get a DUI, I loose my medical certificate. Why?? Because an FAA certified pilot must be of “good moral character” in addition to many other things. The same should hold true of police officers. “Good moral character” can obviously be ambiguous however a DUI is clearly listed as a no-no. Heck the director of the FAA was recently forced to resign after his DUI arrest. The peace officer BOR does NOT allow for DUI’s.

Someone should bring this up to the “dach-ta” Dick Jones. He’s not only a pilot but an FAA Medical Examiner. He knows the rules. We can’t steer 2200 pound Cessna’s around the sky, but a cop can steer a 3400 pound car and a gun around?

  26. All of the officers except Manny and Joe did not have their DARs on. It happens all the time. It is not intentional.

The taser was used because as he said, they ran out of options…this is not something that happens all the time, obviously. Kelly kept resisting. Why? Because he was a unmedicated schizophrenic, I am not sure who knew of his mental state. I am sure if they knew, the white coats would have been called. Have you heard of someone dying from a broken nose? Recently, my young son jumped on top of my head, landing on the top of my cheek bone, it may have been fractured…it blew up into a huge black eye within hours and my face looked worse than Kelly’s. My injury was accidental because my son wanted to play with me and he wanted my attention and I am still alive. That picture of Kelly is deceiving…

No, I am not scared of any of the officers and I have never been beaten by anyone. I do not run away from police officers. I do not resist. I listen, like every citizen should.

    1. @Friends of Jay,

How do you know that the DARs were not left off intentionally?? Answer: You DON’T.

The D.A. has established that Ramos KNEW Kelly Thomas and that Ramos KNEW that Kelly was mentally ill.

Kelly did not die from a “broken nose.” Kelly Thomas died from “blunt force trauma to the head and a lack of oxygen.”

You stated that your cheek bone “…may have been fractured…” Kelly’s cheek bone DEFINITELY WAS fractured.

You say that you got a “…huge black eye…” Kelly’s eye was DESTROYED. If Kelly had lived; he would now be blind in his left eye.

You say that you are “…still alive.” I guess that’s the big difference between your “injury” and Kelly’s brutal murder, isn’t it? IS Kelly Thomas still alive?? NO, HE’S DEAD!!

You say that your “…injury was accidental…” and caused by your little son who wanted your attention. HOW can you dare to compare your little accidental injury to Kelly’s MURDER??

Unarmed, innocent, Kelly Thomas was threatened with great bodily harm, struck with a baton, had his head bashed into the concrete curb, had his ribs broken, his lung collapsed and filled with blood, and then his chest was crushed and suffocated by the weight of six officers. They even pushed with their feet against the side of the squad car so that they could exert even MORE force, pressure and weight on top of Kelly!

Kelly was repeatedly Tasered, knee dropped, choked, punched, kicked, beaten with clubs and bludgeoned in the face with a Taser, WHILE HELPLESS KELLY WAS BEING CRUSHED and held down by several HUGE officers.

And, THEN Kelly was left unattended, without the officers ever giving any first aid, left unconscious and choking on his own blood, lying in a huge swimming pool of his own blood, while the officers laughed.

You need to realize that your “friend” Jay bludgeoned and smashed in the head, face and eye of innocent, unarmed, half naked Kelly Thomas, WHILE Kelly was being pinned to the ground by other officers.

Kelly became UNCONSCIOUS, and yet Jay still KEPT ON bludgeoning Kelly! Jay smashed Kelly’s nose and the bones deep within his skull, which is not easy to do, – it takes a great amount of force to break the ethmoid plate.

According to a witness statement, Jay carefully and methodically aimed each of the eight massive blows to Kelly’s face and nose! Kelly had broken cheek bones, a broken nose, fractured ethmoid plate (the ethmoid bone is a bone deep within the skull that separates the nasal cavity from the brain).

These SEVERE facial fractures caused such massive bleeding inside Kelly’s head that Kelly was choking on his own blood!

Your “friend,” Jay, also knee dropped TWICE with his FULL BODY WEIGHT down onto Kelly’s face and throat, -CRUSHING Kelly’s windpipe! Jay did this AFTER Kelly was ALREADY UNCONSCIOUS. Jay also continued to Taser Kelly AFTER Kelly was ALREADY UNCONSCIOUS. Your “friend” Jay was in a sociopathic murderous FRENZY!

Officer Ramos THREATENED Kelly Thomas with great bodily harm, which caused Kelly to fear for his life. Kelly had the LEGAL RIGHT to defend himself from their threats and blows! The officers NEVER tried to reasonably arrest Kelly Thomas before threatening and striking him!!

Kelly was NEVER a threat to the officers. Kelly fought ONLY to breathe, to survive and to LIVE! Kelly struggled out of fear, terrible pain, and panic, -just as anyone would do who was also being crushed and beaten to death.

Kelly struggled to survive just the same as a drowning man, gasping for a breath of air, would thrash around, calling for help, trying to grab onto something out of sheer desperation and panic. It would be IMPOSSIBLE NOT to fight for your life. It is INSTINCTUAL to try to survive and to breathe.

Kelly was OUTNUMBERED and OUTWEIGHED. Kelly was UNARMED. Kelly was repeatedly begging for his life, begging for his Dad and for God to help him, and saying he was sorry.

I don’t know how you can watch the video of Kelly being murdered and not be absolutely HORRIFIED and ASHAMED OF YOURSELF!

You have a LOT of nerve to try to compare your little accidental injury caused your little son –to the BRUTAL torture and murder of Kelly Thomas by six OVERWEIGHT, BULLETPROOF VEST WEARING, ARMED, TRAINED, TASER WIELDING, BATON WIELDING COPS. SHAME ON YOU!

Justice For Kelly Thomas Facebook page

      Thursday.

In the harrowing moments before he lost consciousness Kelly Thomas cried out for his dad 31 times.
He yelled “Help me” 26 times.
He cried out “I’m sorry” 15 times.
He used words like please and sir.
      He said “OK” 29 times.

Your “friend,” Jay, has VERY serious mental health issues of his own. Jay, and his buddies in blue, brutally, mercilessly and unnecessarily, tortured and MURDERED unarmed Kelly Thomas, while Kelly BEGGED for mercy!

FRIENDS OF JAY, I think you’d better watch the video.

      1. justice for all, who cares about the facts that clearly show six Fullerton police officers beat a disabled man to death. Fullerton city council member Pat McKinley’s friend , Rusty Kennedy, publically stated that thomas’ death was due to the average Joe and Jane’s indifference to the homeless. Kennedy’s assumption should trump the video showing Thomas beaten to death by six cops. Now does the good people of Fullerton
get where their “representative” municipal goverbnment is coming from?

      2. JFA the truth stands tall on its own in your post. These people are very sick indeed. Their children and their children’s children will fall victim to the very system that they fail to stand against. I guess they myopically only see the present day and the immediate needs of the one who “smashed his face to hell”. There is only one side to this thing and they are so on the wrong side of it. May those that don’t agree please re-visit the dystopic reality coming to a town near you if we all cower to this congame.

      3. After all that…..Kelly was handcuffed in front of him because “6” police officer could put the cuffs behind him because of his strength..Super human. Crying like a bitch and still resisting.

    2. When you say that “Kelly kept resisting,” how do you define “resisting” and what evidence do you have for that?

  27. Thanks for posting this! I hope you post all of my responses from the emails on the website. Thanks to either…. Tony? Travis? John? Judas(traitor)? Danielle? or whoever. Appreciate the post. Kudos to you.
    Or as your supporters say…
Great Post! Totally agree with you…(because I cannot think for myself)

    1. no problem,
but remember YOUR SON IS A MURDERER!!!
AND YOU ARE A MOTHER OF A KILLER!!
FROM JUDAS JANE DANIELLE OR WHO EVER YOU WANT ME TO BE.
but the fact is JAY BIRD IS A KILLER

  28. Thanks for posting my response on the blog! Is this Tony? Travis? We know all the names. So…anything I say, you will post on the blog? Cool. Also, I noticed you posted it four times. Thanks. I appreciate you letting our side of the story out there, Normally , the blog blocks my responses. So thanks alot. Still praying for you…

    1. @FRIENDS OF JAY,
What IS your “side of the story”?? From reading your comment above, I believe that your fairy tale story was something about how your young son wanted some attention from Kelly Thomas. Your young son wanted to play with Kelly Thomas, so your young son jumped on top of Kelly’s head and he may have accidentally broken his cheek bone…..and the picture of Kelly Thomas lying in a coma, brain dead, is deceiving….because Kelly Thomas is still alive, just like you.

That’s quite the bedtime story; perhaps you could submit it to Grimm’s Fairy Tales.

    1. “Hijacks Spirit of Recall-Read all about it?????”

Can you tell me Mr. Rowe what you personally did to

      help the recall effort?

      1. Matt was at the first recall meeting taking down names/phone numbers and entering them into a spreadsheet in order to organize all of the volunteers.

        1. Fullerton Lover,
I was at the original planning meeting, held in the church, next to Tony Bushala’s office on Walnut Ave. around August 31, 2011. If you were there, you would remember me as the guy typing everyone’s contact info into a computer spreadsheet. I was briefly introduced by Chris in his opening comments about my speech at city council. Sherbear, a frequent commenter on this blog was also there, as was my friend’s father John Hawekotte Sr. I have a slew of emails from Chris Thompson, going back to August 9, 2011, related to the Recall planning and efforts under way. I also walked precincts in west Fullerton to gather signatures on Saturday. That’s what I personally did to help the recall.

          1. I was there and certainly remember Matt. Thank you for supporting the Recall effort, but most importantly, thank you for serving our country.

            1. I Eat Greg, thanks for remembering. By the way, your screen name reminds me of a joke…”Why did the lion walk around the jungle eating elephant sh*t? – He ate a lawyer and had to get the taste out of his mouth.” I think I saw that in a Bill Murray movie when I was growing up. Just a coincidence. I swear I don’t hate lawyers.

              -Matt

              1. LOL.

Come on everyone… Let’s try to lighten up. Take a deep breath. Matt isn’t the enemy here. It’s the corrupt cops and their superiors that help cover up their mess. It’s the city leaders that look the other way and any new puppet that is lined up to replace them. It’s they stenographers (aka reporters) that help propagate double-chin FPD spokehole propaganda. It’s the sleazy lawyers that come on this site and cheapen the atmosphere.

  30. Anonymous :Thanks for posting this! I hope you post all of my responses from the emails on the website. Thanks to either…. Tony? Travis? John? Judas(traitor)? Danielle? or whoever. Appreciate the post. Kudos to you.Or as your supporters say…Great Post! Totally agree with you…(because I cannot think for myself)

AND DO NOT FORGET, THE WHOLE WORLD IS WATCHING

    1. Email sent out to by Chris Thompson

      Dear Fullerton Recall Petition Signer,

Please do not forget to vote YES on all recalls on Tuesday, June 5th and make sure to remind your friends and family!

We are a mere 10 days from victory and turning our city towards accountability, fiscal stability and a restored reputation.

Regardless of your political affiliations, all of us can agree that government should be honest, transparent and put the people first, yet councilmen Jones, Bankhead and McKinley have been at the heart of a mess which has left us well over a BILLION DOLLARS in debt. New leadership will have quite a bit of work to do.

On a personal note, while there are quality candidates to choose from in every race to appeal to the political values of all voters, in my opinion these candidates will best serve to most quickly improve the city of Fullerton:

Greg Sebourn to replace Don Bankhead
Barry Levinson to replace Pat McKinley
Travis Kiger to replace F. Richard “Dick” Jones
Thanks so much to you for your support!

  31. SEND JAY SOME MAIL!!!
TELL TRINA HER SON IS MURDERER AND WILL NEVER BE REINSTATED AS A COP EVER AGAIN.

    mailto:feedback@friendsforjay.org

    1. TELL TRINA HER SON IS MURDERER AND WILL NEVER BE REINSTATED AS A COP EVER AGAIN.

      1) Trina Cicinelli is your wife not your mother.

      2) Yes, you are a murderer and yes you will never be a police officer again. You blew it when you pounded Kelly’s face in then bragged about it around the station you fat tub of guts!

      3) I’m sure you’d love for people to mistakenly email about Trina (your wife’s) son so you can turn around and bitch & moan about people threatening your kids.

  32. John Doe :

Every police department is the same. A cop can do a very minuet thing in the form of getting in trouble and get demoted or days off. Some other cop could do something really bad and that cop gets promoted. It is who you are.

Thank you for corroborating the crookedness of cops every where.

      1. ALL COPS ARE THIEVES AND PEDOPHILES.

Not all “Jerry”. The problem is sociopaths, rapists and other degenerates like you who hide behind the “brotherhood” and badge but one day things are going to change.

        People are waking up.

COPS ARE REJECTS FROM THE CATHOLIC CHURCH.

        Very cute, “Jerry”.

  33. Orange Cape Hides Me :
I was able to locate the dui record at http://www.occourts.org. Here is the sentencing info for Potts.
    1109/18/20093 years Probation
    2209/18/2009Sentenced stayed
    3109/18/2009$390.00 Fines
4109/18/20099 months First Offender Alcohol Program
5109/18/2009Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) Victim’s Impact Panel
    6109/18/200910 days Community Service

LIFETIME DISABILITY PENSION FROM FULLERTON TAXPAYERS.

  34. I know a cop at FPD that called an old man “Rude” cause the old man was rude to the cop and he got days off and had his pay scale dropped. It’s who you are. If you don’t kiss managements ass. You go nowhere.

    1. Then Wren does all kinds of bad things and they promote him. Kills his dog, beats up a kid, is on probation, says he goes to radio calls and doesn’t. Corruption? I would say..YES!

    1. Barry, I was just responding to the question about what “I” did. I can surely vouch for your efforts and involvement as well. I definitely know that you were in attendance at the first meeting and gathered signatures at the John & Ken broadcast outside the PD.

      1. I understand Jane Rands, Sebourn, Tiger, Barry and Matt Rowe were all present at that meeting. All of the same mind set: there’s a serious lack of leadership on the Fullerton city council and it was time to take a stand.

Wish I could have been there too, it must have been an intense meeting.
